Beautiful and secluded
The property is beautiful and has great outdoor spaces including the back porch, fishing dock and fire pit. The house has plenty of room for dining and lounging incase the weather is too bad to enjoy the outside. We especially enjoyed the sunroom off of the master suite. The owners are very nice and respond quickly if needed. The property is located about 30 minutes from Madison and 15 minutes from Vevay.

Ark visit
Property was a great location to visit both the Ark and Creation Museum. Plus we had a few days of just quite. Would recommend the property to anyone. The host went above what was expected of him. More fully equiped than normal. Excellent property for peace and quite family time.

Great family reunion
We chose this property because it's equal distance or better for each of us, one 600 miles ease, one 600 miles west and one 350 to the north. Was a great family reunion. We were totally comfortable on this property. Everything was provided that we might have needed or wanted. A really great time in a fabulous location and dwelling.

Excellent House and Hosts
Our stay was wonderful and so relaxing. The property was exactly as pictured including the adorable deer visitors. Mark and Janet were so welcoming and responsive and were very quick to answer all of our questions. They even gave up their TV option so we could watch football, you can’t ask for more than that in a host! I would highly recommend this property and can’t wait to come back!!

Madden family memorial reunion
We had several family members from several states gather for a family memorial reunion. This worked out great for us. It was away from the river and secluded. Yet a decent distance from either Vevay or Madison and also Clifty Falls. Thank you!

Annual sisters' get-away
This home is well-maintained and clean!! Everything you could possibly want or need was there. Beds were comfy and the living room was set up with furniture that was perfect for the five sisters to sit comfortably and visit. There are two wonderful tables inside for meals and crafts. The outdoor table (which seats 12) was fabulous for morning coffee, evening drinks or meals for a large group. The grounds were fantastic for exploring in the woods or just catching glimpses from the beautiful picture window of deer and birds and a harvest moon. We would love to return to this little bit of heaven. Thank you

Nice Surprise
If you want a place to kick back and relax with friends or family and enjoy each other‘s company and mother nature, this is the place. Spent a few days with three of my lifelong friends that we have been doing for several years, and I think we found the place that we will be going back to for the years to come. It was a unexpected surprise to see ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and some of the common areas and a huge mechanical awning for the back deck. With 90° days during our stay, it was a lifesaver, . Mark was very responsive and accommodating before and during our stay with any questions that we had about the property and very nice to work with. For us, this place checked all the boxes that we have been looking for in a property to get together and catch up. We will definitely be going back.

Labor Day Weekend 2023
You will not be dissapointed! The property and owners Mark and Janet were great! We arrived a little ahead of schedule and were allowed an early check in. Mark's brother was there doing some yard work and we chatted with him for a while and learned a little more about the area. The house was perfect for our group of 9 motorcycle riders. The drivieway and parking area was huge for us to park our trucks and trailers. The pond which does have fish for catch and release was beautiful to sit in the gazebo and enjoy. We enjoyed taking walks around the property, there is a nice firepit area which we didnt use since it was so hot out. The deck is huge with a couple of nice grills for cooking. The house has everything you need for the comforts of home.

Great property
This house and land are amazing! Despite rain, we all had a great time; even managed to get in some swimming and fishing. It was so much more than we expected. The owners were very responsive to emails since the day we booked the house! Highly recommend this property.

July 4th Family Trip 2023
This was a nice get away with our kids and some of their friends. The house was the perfect size for our 8 people and 2 dogs. Everthing was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the ac worked great.We enjoyed walks down the country road and putting puzzles together. Absolutely loved the sunroom! The few downsides were the ramp to the pond was a bit precarious because the water was low and you could sometimes hear the neighbor's music. Other than that is was great! Mark was very quick to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend this property and we would defini2tely return!

Thank you very much. A little disappointed of the 4 star due to Mother Nature not delivering enough rainfall. The noise is very rare but maybe due to the 4th of July celebrations. We get a four star about one in every hundred reviews. Afterwards you told me the 4 star was a mistake. You meant a 5 star but Vrbo wouldn’t let you edit the rating.

Senior family reunion
Loved the secluded & quite location. Enjoyed the fishing & the fire pit. Perfect for our family as we just wanted to have family meals together & visit as we had family members from ny,ken,fl & Ind. probably last time together as we are senior seniors. Kitchen & laundry stocked for our convenience. Wonderful!!!!

Great property
Great home and property. Stayed here with eight adults and had plenty of space. Everything in the house was as advertised and included everything we needed. Great host to work with who ensured we were having a good time and that everything was as we expected. We all would highly recommend it and would not hesitate to stay again!

Scenic Peaceful Retreat
This lovely, clean, comfortable home can be enjoyed by a large group or a couple. As you step onto the back porch, the beauty that surrounds you will amaze you. The pond and creek are a delight. The well stocked firepit is so wonderful for making s'mores after a long day. A canopy can cover the deck's table and chairs. The house is so easy to live in. Everything you need is readily available. The living room, kitchens and dining room are spacious and comfortable. The owner is so communicative. He is intent on making certain your stay is enjoyable. Our kids and grandkids loved it, and so did the dogs. My granddaughter called it a fun house.

Peaceful Getaway
Beautiful home and setting. We had eight adults and stayed three nights. Plenty of space and beds for all of us. Place is as advertised. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed. Unfortunately we weren’t able to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities. Hopefully next time. Great host to work with . Everyone agreed to try to go back here next year. Thank you for sharing your home.

Family Birthday Reunion
It was a great place to be together as a family. It is a distance to even get to a grocery but we came prepared and enjoyed the quiet , the lawn, and the fishing pond. The house was very well stocked so we didn’t have to worry about trips to pick up things.

Great property and host
This property comes equipped with lots to enjoy your stay. The property was clean, kitchen was stocked with essential tools, extra bedding, and a beautiful washer and dryer. We would have loved to use the fireplace ring but weather did not permit. The property was a beautiful place to stay and the host was fantastic. Replied quickly to our questions and was very helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nothing but peace and quiet!!
This property was exactly what this mom of overtime needed. It was a great mutually meeting for grandma to met us and for us to gallivant every where. The peace and quiet of nature was perfect. No street noise and hardly any neighbors except cows! Will want to come back next year.

A nice secluded getaway.
This location is very quiet and secluded. I will share from the start to the end. GPS had zero issue finding the location and the other directions are spot on. The highway leading to the turn was the smoothest I've been on in a long time. We arrived in the dark and had zero issues entering following the directions we were given. There is plenty of room to have a lot of people stay there, we had 7 (4 kids) and 2 dogs. There were some issues that came up and they were addressed with the owner. He was very responsive which was appreciated. He even ran out and bought a replacement coffee maker. I did not expect that. Overall it was a good stay, but because of the issues I can't give 5 stars. I'm purposely being vague because I can tell they take pride in their property and it appeared these were just oversites or things caused by previous guests. TMobile and ATT had zero reception at the house. The wifi did work as advertised.

Very Accommodating
Mark was great to let us bring our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs with us. It is always a challenge finding quality homes that allow big pets, so we were so pleased he allowed us to stay here. The grounds are spacious and well maintained, so it was great to have “the room to roam”! The fishing was really surprising as well—we caught 18 large mouth bass over the two days of fishing. Quiet, secluded and comfortable. Thanks again, Mark!

Seniors get away
Was a great place to stay and away from hustle from the city. There was 4 couples and we all had our own private bedroom. It rained most of the time we were there, but done lots of card playing and watching movies.

Thank you for your feedback. Wow. I’m not sure what specifically they were. Maybe the sunroom with some supplies stored there. Every now and then a recent guest might break something like one of the slats to the blinds in the sunroom. If it’s minor my maintenance man fixes on his schedule or we fix it when we get there. We are getting an outdoor storage shed for all the games like corn hole and other supplies. We have been blessed to have so many gracious guests that appreciate all the kitchen amenities and bathrooms and indoor and outdoor space. Very sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We are currently at an Airbnb property in Wilmington, NC and they don’t even have salt and pepper shakers. But we are flexible and the property is nice. They will definitely get a five star rating. Thanks.

Thankful Families
We were 2 families on the go with a lot of sight seeing, so we were thankful to have lots of bedrooms and space. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals, and pack our own food for when we were out. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and it was SO much better than trying to accommodate our families in a hotel.

Beautiful Getaway
This place was so roomy, but still felt cozy and comfortable. The house was true to its pictures, with well kept furnishings and very clean. We especially appreciated the kitchen. We like to cook and the appliances and cookware were top-notch. We visited mid-June and saw an abundance of wildlife. Deer, many varieties of birds; including an assortment of woodpeckers and wild turkeys from the deck. Many kinds of beautiful dragonflies and a multitude of dime sized baby frogs and toads in the grass. We were comfortable while still being able to enjoy so much nature and tranquility. Thank You.

Dog training
We stayed here because we were dog training for field work on a friends property. This house was secluded and away. Easy to exercise the dogs. Owners were easy to get a hold with. The party prior to us left the rugs in poor condition but they were cleaned up the day after we had checked in. Didn’t need those bedrooms anyways

Thank you so much. I wish you had communicated better and been able to express your concerns more professionally.eg. Finding the coffee pot, paper towels and paper towels. Our housekeeper is excellent and takes pride in her work but you made a very derogatory comment about her performance on not making sure the coffee pot was available. Maybe not intended but perceived. We went beyond your expectations on getting the bedroom you wished you needed plus the odor but didn’t use. You didn’t express your appreciation on our efforts. Not to mention the washer dryer issue. Otherwise you left the property in great shape. Thanks.

Peaceful easy feeling
The pictures don't do this property justice. It is well priced for all you get. Our family had plenty of room and the owner was so gracious. We ran out of paper plates and he brought more to us keeping us from having to get out and run to the store. Very accomodating. I would definitely go there again.
