Hello Odile, Basin Harbor is a family resort that prides itself on being able to entertain guests of all ages while keeping to some old time traditions. We purposely do not furnish any guest accommodation with televisions so as not to detract from the natural beauty of Lake Champlain and our grounds. However, even though our Main Lodge is an historical building (built before 1900), we do wish to have our guests experience hot showers. I apologize that this was your experience and I have spoken with our maintenance team. We will investigate and address that issue. Hi John, Oftentimes Lake Champlain, on of our greatest assets, can be a great detractor. Moisture is something we constantly battle and usually keep in check and I apologize for the experience you had while staying with us this past week. I will have our staff look into the issues that you have listed here, as we have not heard of them from previous, or current guests staying in the accommodations you were in. Hello Michelle, We would like to speak with you further about your experiences. Unfortunately, being in a rural location pests like spiders are part of life for us. The condition of the toilet is not acceptable however. I hope that you brought these items to our attention while you were here.

Thank you for your feedback. While we do acknowledge there was damage that had not been reported in your room, you were indeed provided with the room type booked online. We agreed to allow you depart early and without penalty. We also explained that since you booked with a 3rd party company we would need to coordinate with them your refund, as we did not charge you for your stay but rather Orbtiz did. We happily worked with Orbitz on your behalf to make this happen. We are sorry if this process was not made clear to you. We would hope you would give us another try and in the future please feel free to reach out directly.
