This home is spacious while still being cozy, the perfect spot for a small group to stay while in Ventura! Walking distance to restaurants and coffee, and of course to the beach! The walk to the beach is quick with no streets to cross which was quite convenient, especially with kids who tend to want to go back and forth. The house is equipped with everything you could need to enjoy the beach (chairs, shovels, buckets, boogie boards, and towels!) The bathrooms and showers are new and clean and the beds are sooo comfortable. The AC/Heater via the modern Splits work so well and fast! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was perfect for our family. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of space. The property is perfectly placed a short walk from the beach. Safe neighborhood. Our host was amazing and communicated with us regularly when we needed her. We would stay here again. I highly recommend it.

The house was a perfect beach bungalow. It had everything we needed. Heather was great to work with and the whole process was easy. We loved the outdoor space, grilling and sitting by the fire.

Could have been better

The “newly remodeled beach bungalow” has much to offer and a few shortcomings. Our only complaint is that upon arrival there were a few issues: low propane tanks for fire pit and bbq, second bathroom tub would not properly drain, and a curtain rod mount fell from the wall. Upon contacting the assigned contact, we were instructed in troubleshooting these issues ourselves rather than immediate response and resolution. We did not pay for home maintenance chores; we paid for a trouble free vacation home. About 48 hours into our stay all issues were resolved.

Beach Stay by the Pacific

The check-in was easy and the location perfect. The place was filled with all the things you needed away from home. Only surprise was a person came in on us due to dates confusion. The staff got that resolved and very respectful. I will say that they need to have matching pillows on the sofa and change the floor rugs they had it. Plus, some rust on the old heating unit. OVERALL GREAT Stay and the Price reasonable!

Great place to stay

The house is great with a nice kitchen and good sized rooms. A very short walk to the beach. A fire pit in backyard in a nice setting. The outdoor shower was great to wash off the sand before going in the house. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great get away

We enjoyed our long weekend at this home! Overall lovely property and great location. I will note that we were disappointed not to be able to use the grill as it really needed cleaning before being useable.

sink faucet sprayer damaged, windows & screens dirty, no extra trash bags, towel cupboards were a mess, coffee pot filthy, outdoor table and chairs covered with spiders and webs (I had to clean them), some bulbs were broken on outdoor lights. Neither mini-split air conditioner worked and when I inquired they said they were only for heating; I found that strange as I've never seen mini-split a/c systems installed only for heat. That being said the place is well located and nice. They just need to pay a little more attention to organization, cleanliness, and if you want trash taken out at least supply bags.

Ventura Beach Getaway

Six (former teachers) of us enjoyed a long weekend at Ventura Beach. The location is perfect, just a short walk to a beautiful beach with minimal people! It was wonderful to watch locals and visitors frolic in the ocean with their dogs. Back at the house the fire pit was a wonderful addition to the backyard, but please be aware the BBQ grill didn't seem safe with a rusted, and corroded base. The kitchen had a great set up, all appliances worked with lovely cabinets, all the utensils/tools you would need to make a great meal. The beds were comfy and bathrooms were sufficient, but remember to bring your own shower/bath soaps because there are none provided. When you turn the hot water heater on, adjust the dial higher than what the directions say if you are with a large group. We had an issue with the sofa bed that went unresolved. We were told we weren't doing it correctly, that it was a 6 year old couch that had no problems to this point. We did everything we were told to put the bed back into the sofa but we weren't able. Just know the house it may not accommodate 8 people if you are planning to use the couch as a bed. There are two AC units in the house and each bedroom is equipped with floor fans in the closets, which was greatly appreciated!!

Lovely home and responsive host

We had a very lovely weekend stay. Heather was very responsive when we had a small need that she quickly took care of. The house was clean and well stocked. We were even pleasantly surprised to see there were a couple of overhead AC units in the master bedroom and living room to cool those rooms down.

Perfect beach house getaway

This beach house was perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids). The pics and description are spot on. Rooms were spacious, kitchen was very easy to use and was equipped with all the necessary items, and the backyard was so cute. Steps to the beach, a block or so from restaurants, and a short drive to downtown. Free parking in the driveway. Communication from the owner was great as well! We will definitely be staying again!!

Pretty close to perfect

For our family with small children, this house was nearly perfect. The safe, enclosed yard was very clean. The large outdoor dining table with patio lights made our evenings festive. We had to buy propane for the fire pit but it worked well. The kitchen is well appointed with all the cooking utensils and baking dishes anyone would need. It was great to have plastic plates, bowls and glasses for outside and for kids. Nice touch to have small child forks and spoons. The mattresses were particularly comfortable. There were many, many beach towels which was perfect for a beach vaca. Loved being able to keep the sand at a minimum with the outdoor shower. Our only frustration was the washing machine was broken (it started a load but got stuck halfway through leaving a soggy, soapy load of clothes to deal with). We had three small children and packed less clothing for them counting on the washer. All in all, I would highly recommend this property.

Beach house getaway

We went for labor day weekend with grandma and two families. The place was clean, great layout and amazing location close to beach and restaurants. It was easy and ideal. The place had everything we needed and more including bikes and beach chairs and boogie boards.

Great house by the beach

This was a clean, very well equipped home! It had good sized 3 bedrooms and a great backyard . You can’t beat the location. Short walk to the beach and Seaside where there are a few good restaurants.

Ventura birthday getaway

The house is simple but very modern and feels cozy with nice amenities! Plenty of parking in front of the house. Easy walk to the beach. Used bikes to go down to the park. Centrally located to downtown and restaurants. We really enjoyed and memorable.

Fun weekend getaway with friends

We had a great time in Ventura at this wonderful home-a block from the beach in a quiet neighborhood is exactly what we needed to escape from LA. The kitchen was fantastic and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was available to us. Thank you for a fun couple of days!

Beautiful home in amazing location

Our family of a kid, a toddler, and an infant had an amazing time in this beautiful home. The home itself was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with all sorts of equipment for activities, like bikes, kites, frisbees, boogie boards, etc. The kitchen and bathrooms were beautiful and the backyard has a very nice fire pit perfect for the cool evenings. It's only a couple minutes walk from the beach and easy to bike almost anywhere else. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a family.

Disappointing

The bed in the Master Bedroom, the king, was the worst bed we've ever slept in. There were two indented spots for each of us, very indented.; and a hill in the middle of the bed. I had to protect myself from falling out. The refrigerator had not been cleaned. There were crumbs of food and lettuce scattered about. I had to thoroughly cleaned before using. The BBQ was so corroded with grease, grime and past barbecues. It was so piled on and filthy it was not usable....and appeared to have not be used in years. False advertising. All else okay.

Beach Trip

Overall, this house is in a great location near restaurants and the beach. It is cute & clean. The outdoor space was great. We came during a heat wave and the house only had a few fans (which were dirty) and the house was very hot all day. Not ideal for our small children for naps as the rooms got to 80+ degrees during the day. Additionally there were a lot of ants! When using the kitchen to make any food we had to clean immediately after or we would be swarmed with ants soon after.
