Firstly, the communication from Wonderful Italy, who manage the property, was excellent and took all the ambiguity of getting to the apartment out of the picture. This was our first trip to Venice and travelling with a Teen with restricted mobility we wanted to make sure that we got straight to the apartment on arrival, we got a step by step photo guide to the door and from the airport bus at the Piazzale Roma it's a 10 min walk.
The apartment was spotless, we barely used the kitchen (who goes to Italy to stay in and cook?) but all the pans utensils, crockery & cutlery were there, if we'd wanted to.
The apartment has heating & aircon, we didn't need either when there, the beds were comfy but the pillows were pretty hard, I found them comfy enough, but I was on my own with that.
One thing I will say is that it gets a bit noisy outside on the Grand canal at night. The Riva de Biasio water bus stop is directly across from the apartment, it's the Grand Canal so it's quite busy relatively speaking, akin to being on a main road into a town. If you want tranquility, pay more (£1,000s more) and go for an apartment further into the city but the quality of the apartment, the convenience of the location for all the main transport links in and around Venice plus the choice of restaurants, and the supermarket nearby too, it was not intrusive enough to prevent us re-booking this apartment if we return to Venice.
We'd have no hesitation in staying here again.
