Estancia inmejorable

Han sido unas vacaciones 10. Pierre muy amable y atento en todo momento dándonos privacidad total durante toda la estancia. La casa es preciosa y muuuy agradable, con una ubicación ideal para el descanso y la desconexión aunque cerquita en coche de Vejer y la playa. Mención especial merece Juan, el vecino encargado del manteniemiento de la piscina, siempre tan amable y ofreciendose para todo lo que necesitáramos. Muy recomendable! Esperamos volver :)

Merecido nombre a Casa Tranquila

Sencillamente hemos pasado una semana espectacular. Ha sido todo un acierto la elección. El entorno es un remanso de tranquilidad, ideal para quien quiera DESCONECTAR, solo oirás pájaros y naturaleza. La casa es maravillosa, tienes todo lo que necesitas, preciosamente decorada acorde con el entorno. La comunicación con Pierre y las facilidades que nos ha brindado han sido perfectas. Gracias Pierre. Por todo, han sido unos días geniales tal y como habíamos deseado, te estamos muy agradecidos. Esperamos volver pronto.

La casa estaba llena de avispas,dentro de la casa un calor horrible,sin television los 4 dias que he estado,muy retirado de cualquier zona,no volvere a repetir jamas.Fue pesimo todo en general.

Bien en general, pero no tanto como en las fotos. Acceso difícil. Poco menaje de cocina.

La casa está bien, con dependencias muy amplias y cierto encanto rústico, pero no es tan bonita como parece en las fotos, ni por fuera ni por dentro. La calificaría con un 7 sobre 10 (tres * y media). Se encuentra un poco aislada, lo cual obliga a desplazamientos bastante largos si se quiere conocer la provincia. Se accede por una pista sin asfaltar, con baches, de unos 2 km. Los sillones de la zona de la piscina... francamente mejorables, ya que su tapizado no está en buen estado. El equipamiento de la casa es correcto, aunque pobre en utensilios, vajilla y menaje de cocina (las tijeras y el sacacorchos, por ejemplo, están muy deteriorados) y otros aspectos (no tiene secador de pelo, por ejemplo) Lo dicho, bien pero no tanto...

General dissatisfaction at Casa Tranquila

Misleading name:house next to a rural track with daily traffic; 3 wind farms at 500-1000 m away. Like having a few vacuum cleaners on low mode all day long in your ear. Not tranquil at all. At arrival house was set for 7, not 8, had to scramble to request an extra bed when we arrived; we told owner twice before arrival. Electric switchboard for large portion of the house kept on jumping, Juan didn´t know anything about it (lovely feeling when having 4 children running around). The USP: environmental autonomous friendly home, with its own water well, independent from the power grid with solar PV and thermal solar panels and the fact that the owner would donate 35 Euros from our rent to Greenpeace, if we didn't need to use the backup diesel engine.Electric installation of the house is a safety hazard: 2 PV panels on the terrace which have melted away by the sunlight.Water was never optimally warm enough for a pleaseant shower, the dishwashwer will stop half way and will not clean thoroughly. Fridge, an absolute vintage model, with broken shelves, missing pieces, not able to cool down food, had to throw away a fresh chicken.Swimming pool which was also run down: edges cracked, water output flap detached and permanent cloudy water and green floor due to the use of cheap chloride. Mosquito nets in just of couple of areas, broken/detached so basically useless. Electric fans couldn’t even feel the air at close range. Mezzanine areas were untidy and general state of house dirty.

Barn

A great house for relaxing , and equally ideal for families or friends who like to stock up the fridge and chill out around the pool . Cows and goats near by , beautiful sunsets and evening setting for our door dining on the terrace . A car is esential ( watch the pot holes down the lane)for venturing out to the beach for the day or stocking up on daily requirements. Would suit all year round visits as a very cosy house. Everything on one level so wheelchair friendly. Good house info supplied by the host to support their eco friendly living .

Great villa in fantastic location

The villa is extremely comfortable and well equipped with lots of space for individual relaxing time and areas to get together and celebrate the wonderful local food and wine. We had a fantastic time with the very friendly help when needed of Pierre (the owner) and Juan his able assistant/neighbour.

Erholsamer Urlaub

Wir haben drei entspannte Urlaubswochen in dem großen, sauberen und gut eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Auch wenn das Haus etwas abgelegen liegt, ist es in die nächsten Orte wie Vejer oder Medina nicht weit und auch die Strände sind gut zu erreichen. Dieser Teil Andalusiens bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die alle gut zu erreichen sind. Das Haus und insbesondere die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Da es jedoch zumeist mit Solarenergie betrieben wird, sind "Stromfresser" wie Mikrowelle, Toaster oder Kaffeemaschine nicht verfügbar - für uns war das aber kein Problem. Wir haben das Haus, unseren Urlaub und die Umgebung sehr genossen.

Great house in Costa de Luz

Stayed at Pierre's house for 2 weeks. It is lovely located just 20 min from Vejer and Medina. Pierre has been very flexible over the course of the last months in light of the Covid uncertainty and whether we could fly to Spain or not. Fortunately it all came true. The house is nice and well equipped, good beds, bathrooms, etc Beaches are about 20 min drive, we really liked El Palmar. All in all, certainly worthwhile to return one day.

friendly and cosy

We had a wonderful time in this cosy house, in a wild and preserved environment. We cooked, walked, and cocooned by the fireplace. Pierre made it easy for us, gave us a warm welcome and good advices.

Tranquil haven in a gorgeous part of Spain - perfect family house

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Pierre’s house. From the moment we arrived it was everything we hoped for. My teenage daughter announced ‘ it is fantastic!’ I knew we were in for a good holiday! On arrival Pierre was incredibly welcoming and answered all my inane questions! The directions were spot on. We have 3 teenagers and it was the perfect house for us - a great pool, very comfy sofa for watching films and enough space to keep everyone happy! It is full of so much character and rustic charm. Each morning Juan pops up to check on the pool. Attempting to chat to him in my basic Spanish was a highlight particularly as he is so friendly as is Pepi. The location is just right. Set far back off the road with walks from house but then within easy driving to the gorgeous towns of Vejer, Tarifa or Cádiz and not forgetting the beautiful hip beaches. My husband was in his element with all the bird-watching. I can’t recommend the house highly enough - we were all VERY sad to leave but hopefully we will be back!!!

Quiet location, spacious house - relaxing week!

We stayed in this spacious home for a week at the end of May & very much enjoyed it. Pierre was very accommodating & left us a welcome pack which included delicious chocolate brownies (most appreciated) & Juan who pops by most days to check everything was charming (even if he doesn't speak English). The information folder was very helpful & we ate in a few of the recommended restaurants. The location is beautifully quiet & helped to provide a relaxing week. We enjoyed the space the house offered internally (2 separate lounge areas perfect for teenagers to have their own space & 3 bathrooms too). Our week flew by but the house had everything we needed & was in a good location to explore from. Would certainly recommend to others & we would consider returning.

Sehr behagliches großes altes Haus. Schön restauriert, sehr einsam gelegen.

Wir besuchten das Haus zu sechst(3Paare) und hatten viel Platz um sich auch aus dem Weg gehen zu können. Wunderschöner Pool, große Küche um gemeinsam zu kochen. Ohne Auto kommt man nirgendwo hin, eingekauft hatten wir schon nach der Landung. Wer die Ruhe sucht ,ist dort genau richtig .

Lovely property in a great quiet location close to Vejer and the coast

Casa Tranquila is exactly that - a lovely, peaceful property in a beautiful, unspoiled part of Spain. The house had everything we needed and more then lived up to expectations. Pierre was really helpful and relaxed. We had a wonderful time and would recommend wholeheartedly. Thanks Pierre!

Beautiful secluded Villa, totally off the beaten track

If you wish to escape the 'rat race' and hanker after total peace and quiet then this is the Casa for you. Five of us (adults) stayed in Pierre's tastefully decorated Casa. Pierre was utterly charming and was easily contactable for any problems, along with Juan who visited early morning to check the pool etc ., and would always relay messages back to Pierre, if need be. The Casa is in an ideal area for exploring Cadiz, Jerez, Medina Sidonia and the beautiful magical town of Vejer de la Fronterer, plus of course the beaches fairly nearby. We would barbecue at night and sit and play our raucous games of cards until late without disturbing anyone. There was a friendly Spanish Bar not too far away, good for an early evening drink. All in all a delightful laid back break which made it quite difficult to return to normality. The only downside was locating the Villa, but we found it in the end after a phone call and driving along a field first!!!! We would all love to return.

Lucid dreaming

Watching travelling shows on television and Facebook timelines from your travelling friends, you might get the impression that it's impossible to be just that perfect.Here's where Casa Tranquila delivers (and why). It's situated in no mans land, so if you come here for relaxing in a tranquil environment, you are good to go. It has al facilties to host medium ranged groups, great kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and a pool. Beautifull villages and their fresh markets are only a 20 min drive, bigger cities / higlights are one and a half hour. To satisfy your "hipster"friends it's self supportive with solar panels etc. It is children friendly, we were there with two children under the age of two - well facilitated! It has a lounge room inside and outside as well, including a brick barbeque and a cosy fireplace. All you need is some friends to bring along to have a splendid time here. You don't need to bring wine, they have plenty of good ones over there - and the first one is on the house. Host is a combination of a Socializing Swede, with some French Finesse and an American sense of Amazing hospitaly who is very good communicative. Only reason to not hire this fantastic villa is not having any friends. But you can always write that novel you are talking about for ages on the lovely roof terrace. Or make some easy new friends by boasting you have this amazing villa in Andalusia (the villa to back that statement up is only three clicks away!).
