Fantastic house in amazing location

The house is beautiful, clean and in a fantastic location overlooking Playa Negra. It is an easy walk to the beach and hotel restaurant with world class surfing plus yoga. You need a car to drive less than 5 minutes to get to amazing food and coffee too. Lots of space for a group of family and/or friends.

Wow!

What a great vacation home and location! Great beaches abound near by. Fantastic beach combing right in front. Spectacular views. Very comfortable. We were worried about the small pool. But it was perfect. Just a quick dip to cool off then back into a lounge chair. A bigger pool is unnecessary. Also close to great zip lining, fishing, cruises, and other adventures. Lots of great restaurants also close by; from pizza to lunch on the beach to fine french dining (Villa Deveena). Jarrod and Meaghan, the managers, are unbelievable hosts. The pictures don't do it justice. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Another Fantastic Week in Costa Rica

We stayed at Casa Somos Uno in 2019 and had a great experience so when we made the decision to go back to Costa Rica for the winter break we said - lets book this awesome place again. Key reason is the house location is perfect in a secure private neighborhood in Playa Negra with 24 hour security/guards. The house it self is perfect for out 7 member family - 3 adult kids - shared the bunk room in the basement and my wife and I had the fabulous master on one side while my brother in-law and mother in-law had the other two bedrooms. The owners and the property managers that are local are awesome just send a WhatsApp message and they respond immediately. The only issue we had was the neighborhood was experiencing power problems and those were taken care of by the local management team. They should be fixed now - power company came out a few times and fixed it for us mid-week. - THANK YOU AGAIN FOR AN AWESOME WEEK>

Our family of 9 stay at Casa Somos Uno

Our family of 9 stayed at Somos Uno for 9 nights. The house is beautiful, clean and well appointed. The view is breathtaking! We had a wonderful time. There was one exception. There was a rather large leak from the roof in one of the upper bedrooms. We notified the property manager and it seemed that she was already aware of the problem. We sent pictures too. No further action to fix the problem was taken and the leak continued to drip through our stay. A large pool of water formed and we had to put towels down. It was embarrassing that some family members had to deal with that during the whole trip.

Beyond expectations!

The house, location, and property managers (Jarrod and Meaghan) all exceeded our expectations. The house is well designed, super clean, and thoughtfully stocked. Looking over the ocean from the poolside deck was just plain awesome. The location was perfect for us, could walk to surf spots in the morning, and the sunsets in front were ideal. Rocky beach in front might not be great for families with younger children to swim but was perfect for us. Could stand up paddleboard right in front of the house. Jarrod and Meaghan were great communicators, very responsive, and their suggestions of places to eat and activities were spot on. They hooked us up with Javier at Los Pargos Adventures to rent surfboards (he was flexible and suggested great gear), arranged an in-house massage (best ever), and also organized a horse ride down the beach with Ronaldo which was one of the highlights of the trip. Cannot say enough about the experience, we will definitely be back!

Gorgeous home, well-loved and well-maintained

Our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents arrived here as our last stop on a cross-Costa Rica journey and it was an amazingly comfortable landing. This beachfront house is just beautiful and the property managers, Jarrod and Meaghan, made it a real home. There are numerous outdoor and indoor spaces that are a joy to spend time in. The famous Playa Negra surf was just steps away. We stayed in several gorgeous spaces during our Costa Rican travels but Casa Somos Uno vividly stands out. We feel lucky to have stayed there.

Beautiful hideaway!

This property is everything you can imagine and more. It is incredible - just a few short steps to the beach and you can keep busy all day poking around in the sand. Jerrod and Meaghen are attentive and quick to respond to any issues, questions or bookings they can help you arrange. I loved waking up to the horses on the lawn everyday. A few notes: we were travelling with kids, young adults and gramma and grandpa - although the property was beautiful staying in Tamarindo would have been better for us - then gramma and grandpa can go back to the house to relax, kids and be on the beach etc. There were 10 of us so I think closer to the town itself would have been better for us. Before you arrive check if there have been any robberies in the area and follow instructions for setting the alarm. All in all this was a beautiful place to stay the house comes with everything you could want or need - plenty of everything.

Unbelievable Vacation: plenty of R&R for the whole family!

What an incredible home and an amazing location! We had a family vacation of a lifetime at Casa Somos Uno and no one wanted to leave! Jarrod and Meaghan absolutely helped us make the most of our trip and were incredibly accessible for all questions and more than happy to help! The home is well equipped with everything you would possibly need and then some! Honestly to fully explore the area we needed much more time than the week we stayed there. We stayed in March with 2 families total (4 adults and 4 kids (ages 9-12) and would definitely come back! We loved exploring the natural beauty and the laid back and welcoming atmosphere of Playa Negra, made day trips to Avellanas, traveled up to Rincon and sailed from Tamarindo

Family Vacation Surfing Paradise

Our family stayed at Casa Somos Uno over the Christmas holiday this year. After spending the last few Christmas vacations in the Nosara area, we decided to save ourselves the long drive and stay closer to the Liberia airport and enjoy the best surfing available in Costa Rica by staying right on the beach in Rancho Playa Negra. It was truly spectacular. Our property managers, Jarrod & Meagan were "above and beyond" helpful and the beachfront home was spacious, open and spectacular-- not to mention the most magnificent panoramic views of the Guanacaste coast. We hope to return every year. A very special thanks to the owners for the plush bath towels, beach towels, upgraded linens, well equipped kitchen, super comfy beds and all the books, games and wifi/TV for chilling out after the beach!

Fantastic home, this is where you should stay in playa negra

Costa Rica is a wonderful safe place to travel and we had been here many times, but this was our first journey to playa negra. A fun drive from Liberia to get to this amazing home. From the star deck, the personal pool, great exploring on the beach, fun yard to play in, and that is just the outside. The bedrooms were great, fully stocked kitchen, great living area and basement. It is an awesome value for what you get in the area. Locals were nice, great beach for family, horses, and all you would expect from costa rice. Jarrod is a great host and will help you with anything you need.

Casa Somos Uno

Even more beautiful and comfortable than the photographs, 6 of us had an amazing time at Casa Somos Uno. Except for the flooding of the downstairs bedroom during two particularly heavy rains, we all enjoyed the patio and pool area, the spacious kitchen, and the en suite bathrooms with each bedroom. The gated community is quiet and we enjoyed walking to Playa Negra every morning to swim while the tide was low. The snorkeling trip out of Tamarindo was phenomenal! We also enjoyed horseback riding with Molly, the local zip line, and spending an afternoon at Lola's under the palm umbrellas drinking ice cold Imperials and watching the surfers! The food was delicious and fresh and we spent several hours relaxing on the beach there. We also loved dining at Bar Latino, Cafe Playa Negra, and for our last dinner, Villa Deveena - so delicious and such a little jewel tucked away off the beaten path. The massage therapists were also amazing and all 6 of us would have enjoyed another visit from them, next time! Meaghan and Jarrod are awesome hosts! They were always available to answer questions. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives and in fact have already so I can begin booking my next trip to Play Negra! It was a lovely, lovely vacation, steeped in the natural beauty of Costa Rica and the surf pounding the rocky shoreline was the perfect musical background for the deep relaxation we all needed and enjoyed!

Better than heaven

Casa Somos uno, what a great experience, big house very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Jarrod and Meaghan are the best, always there for anything you need at any time! Could not have picked a better house for our christmas vacation. Hope to come back soon. Mario.

Wonder trip to Playa Negra

What a GREAT place, GREAT trip and such fun memories! We all hope to be able to come back every year around the same time and experience all of the festivities that take place for the New Year! Nothing better than leaving 30 degree weather to experience 7 days of fun in the SUN! Not only were the house and the surrounding great but Jarrod and Meghan are there for your every waking needs! They certainly go above and beyond to make sure everyone is taken care of, happy and have all of their needs met! This was one of the best trips to Costa Rica that we have EVER been on and look forward to many more years of creating great memories for our children, parents and friends!
