Its location allows travelers to discover the island's most idyllic spots, villages like San Mateo, Tejeda, and Artenara, the Tamadaba pine forest, and Roque Nublo. Many hiking trails begin very close to the hotel.

The Vega de San Mateo region boasts several protected nature reserves, such as Camaretas and Hoya de Gamonal. Also noteworthy are El Pozo de las Nieves (the island's highest peak) and the "La Mina" ravine route (a ravine with year-round water flow where the area's old watermills are located).

San Mateo is a municipality rich in natural landscapes, with strategically placed viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramic vistas, such as the Montaña Cabreja viewpoint. This natural lookout, situated on the mountain of the same name, provides a enchanting panorama of the town of San Mateo, the Guiniguada gorge, and the city of Las Palmas. San Mateo is a municipality rich in natural landscapes, with strategically located viewpoints offering stunning panoramic views, such as the Montaña Cabreja viewpoint.

The Mirador Natural de la Cruz (Natural Cross Viewpoint), the Mirador Degollada Becerra in Tejeda, the Mirador de los Pechos (Pechos Viewpoint): from where you can see the neighboring island of Tenerife, and the Mirador Natural de El Talayón in Galaz. When strolling through the old town of San Mateo, a visit to the most emblematic buildings is a must: The Parish Church of La Vega de San Mateo, located on the main street, has a bell donated by Cuban emigrants who lived in the town.

The central upper section is crowned by three bells, designed by José Luján Pérez. Construction was completed in 1895.

The nearest main bus connections are available from San Mateo bus station, with regular Global bus services connecting the area with nearby towns and villages. Routes such as 303 provide a convenient connection to the surrounding areas, while 305 is useful for reaching Tejeda and exploring the mountainous interior of the island.

Due to the property's location in a rural and mountainous area, a car is recommended for exploring the island with greater flexibility, particularly for visiting viewpoints, hiking trails, and more remote attractions. Taxis are also available locally for shorter journeys.

You can enter the accommodation at any time after 15:00. Early check-in can only be arranged on request. If you need it, please send us an email.
