This place is a beautiful getaway. The large table for meals, the nice bedrooms, the hot tub and the ping pong table were fun highlights. Vashon Island is sweet and we found some good hiking and kayaking here. The large sofas may need replacing soon-but the beds were really comfy.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The spacious table near the kitchen was perfect for board games and group meals, and we ended each evening relaxing on the balcony, taking in the breathtaking views and watching local wildlife. One of the highlights was renting kayaks nearby and spending a fun afternoon exploring the harbor. The only minor issue was the uneven stairs leading down to the property, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise fantastic experience.

Family retreat

We had a wonderful time here. This was our second stay, which says a lot about our feelings about the house!BBQ, hot tub, tidal pools and ping pong. What's not to love I particularly appreciate a kitchen large enough for multiple people to work together. I expect we'll be back

Spacious house on the water with a lovely view

This spacious home has a mesmerizing view of the harbor and a good deck for entertaining, a large hot tub, high bank water access (and paddle boards we didn't get to make use of), a well-equipped kitchen and many games and books, comfortable furniture, an excellent fireplace, and a great location on Vashon. The owner, Suzanne, is extremely helpful and readily available. We did think the house might be ready for a little TLC and refreshing, but we loved our stay and hope to be back soon.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely time at this home. It has a great layout and spectacular views. The kitchen is well-stocked. The fireplace is very cozy and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. Great for families and a convenient location. We would love to stay there again.

Excellent stay

Wonderful place, highly recommend. Spectacular view. Host was very helpful and responsive. The one issue I will note is that the Wi-Fi was barely fast/reliable enough for video Zoom meetings, in case you are thinking about working remotely, potentially an issue (but wasn't surprised by that).

Peaceful and fun

We enjoyed our time at this property. Suzanne was an excellent communicator. The island itself was the perfect mix of slow and peaceful but with enough to do for entertainment. The house is ok. A little run down but clean. The location was great. The dock and deck are unbeatable. We loved grilling, watching the sunset and the tides change. Overall we really enjoyed our stay on Vashon Island.

A Perfect Escape

The photos are great and still don't do the location justice - winding down on the porch overlooking Quartermaster Inner Harbor, grilling with friends, kids running around inside during the day - we love it, we'll be back for a 3rd time soon!

Exactly what we were looking for!

This was the perfect housing for my extended family, my husband and me. We were on the island for a family wedding and the location was ideal. The lovely views, spacious living area and various bedrooms were ideal for our stay. Highly recommend this property!

4th of July extravaganza!

My family and I had the best stay at your beautiful property on Vashon Island. We truly had the best of two worlds, enjoying the harbor paddle boarding with seals and otters, and watching eagles flying overhead. We also had the chance to barbecue and then explore two amazing national parks-Olympic and Ranier-where we saw a variety of wild life, including a black bear. My kids rented bikes and roamed the island, making stops for pop cycles by the side of the road. We also visited some classic tourist attractions like the Space Needle and watched the salmon swimming up the channel. The highlight was the spectacular 4th of July fireworks show right of the deck overlooking the harbor. It was an unforgettable display! Thank you for providing us with such a memorable experience. We left with many wonderful memories!

Spring Retreat

Our family had our annual get together in this comfortable house. 6 adults (plus 2 locals who joined us to hang out). We had everything we needed to spend quality time together and cook big meals. We had great weather for hiking, birding, kayaking and watching the full moon rise over Mt. Rainier, but we knew that there would be plenty to do even if it had rained all 5 days.

Best of Burton

Staying here, so close to the water, is a bit like living on a ship - the view is incredible from every room (the pictures are great and still somehow don't do it justice). If you know Burton, the location makes the coffee stand very convenient. Our kiddos loved the toy collection, the kitchen was well appointed, and we slept so well. Hope we'll be back!

Beautiful and comfortable

Beautiful! We enjoyed the waterside location with great views. Everything was easy and comfortable. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Many thoughtful details such as small nightlights, charging stations, access to paddle boards, hot tub, BBQ, puzzles, toy shelves, drawers and hangars, decorative lighting, piano, extra pillows and bedding, etc. So comfortable for our entire family.

Do this!

Wonderful location, beautiful view. Be advised only two small old bathrooms if that doesn't work for you. We were 6 ladies who are used to traveling together and don't do a lot of primping so it was fine for us. We weren't strong enough to get the extremely heavy rowboat in the water, but instead enjoyed the paddle board and yoga with a view!
