Una de las camas, vieja, chueca, se sentían los resortes, el refrigerador tiraba agua y hacia mucho ruido, cambiaban sábanas cada tercer día y la limpieza el baño lo limpiaban solo por encima, fatal en general, solo porque tenía buena ubicación es que aguantamos, pero fueron 8 días!!

Great City Skyline View!
This hotel is a Hidden Jewel, it has an spectacular view, kitchenette is very convenient, is not a fancy modern resort, but the hotel location is close to stores, downtown and couple blocks form the Canada Line Skytrain.

La vista fue estupenda, pero el hotel es viejo.
La ubicacion es excelente, pero las condiciones del hotel no son excelentes, es un hotel viejo, y no esta muy modernizado.

Lugar cómodo y super céntrico
La ubicación del hotel te permite tener a corta distancia varios lugares y el cuarto cuenta con cocineta, Buena vista , agradable en general

Viejito pero céntrico.
El hotel es bastante viejo, le hace falta una buena renovación de pies a cabeza. Huele a viejo a pesar de que lo mantienen muy limpio pero la ubicación es muy buena y tiene mucho movimiento alrededor. Los cuartos son como pequeños departamentos, muy prácticos. Si no eres muy exigente y vas a estar afuera todo el tiempo y solo vas a dormir, este lugar es perfecto para ti.

El hotel está bien situado, dispone de amplias habitaciones tipo suite, con cocina y sala de estar, aunque está desfasado unos 30 años y necesita una renovación. No dispone de servicio de desayunos.

We liked location and cost but the condition of the rooms was poor. The suite was very outdated and the sofa was unusable. The cushions sagged below the frame and the fabric was grimy as was the carpeting. The bathroom was ok and the bed was comfortable. Would not recommend this.

This is our first time staying at the Tropicana. It is a blast from the 1960s where nothing seems to have changed. An old hotel, very worn but had everything we needed for the night. It was the most affordable and we could walk to our venue. Mind you we are used to walking a lot. Very close to Lost Lagoon which is so pretty and also to many little shops including the best bakery on Denman called Breka. I'm not sure if quaint is the right word but the important thing is there was staff at the entrance desk 24/7. They are friendly and helpful, the housekeeper attending our room was so thoughtful and made sure we had everything in order. It is so basic but it has everything including a kitchenette a lounging area with table and chairs for eating. A separate bedroom making it all very spacious. Go in with an open mind and it is a safe functioning stay which is exactly what we needed.

Hotel is very old, bathroom door was broken. Chair and Sofa, and bed are not clean and they all need to be changed. Shower and piping are noisy. Pictures are not describing hotel and are very different than what the rooms are. I wont try it again.

What i liked at the time was the price and the location. What i didn't like was that it was not the cleanest, furniture was in poor condition and bugs.

Like how close it was for what we wanted to do. And the price was good.the staff were all very nice. The bad would be it just needs a few updates. Otherwise would definitely stay again.

Building is very old and not very well maintained. Room was dingy. Carpets were frayed, floor was very bumpy. The faucet in the sink had a constant drip that couldn;t be stopped. There were dirty glasses left in the room. The suite was very large for what was paid for but that wasn't enough to overcome the stale, old feeling of the room.

Needs a makeover
The views and staff were lovely, the location is excellent with easy access to the shore and downtown. However, the rooms were shabby and worn to the point of exhaustion. The windows were single glazed and rattly. It is such a shame because it could be a fantastic place to stay.

I loved the location and convenience. You can walk around instead of driving. Free parking! Despite old style the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. I was able to check in earlier and check out on time. They let me leave my car for extra 2 hours at the property without charge. Housekeeper really is doing good job. Property itself needs a lot of work and updates. Things that cleaning stuff cannot fix like chipping walls, old furniture, decor, etc. Asna, front desk lady was very nice and helpful. I stayed at this place twice so far.

Very good location but hotel needs improvement, big time. Asna allowed us to check in earlier and did all she could to accommodate us. She made sure all was good and apartment had the best view.
