I loved my time here so much. I came to Vancouver alone and this was the perfect location for everything I needed. The hosts were so wonderful, kind and helpful and I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone coming to visit. I think it’s incredible value for money too, I hope to come back and stay here again in the future :)

Kits Getaway
Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! Christine & Pat were super friendly & offered all kinds of suggestions of things to do & places to eat! We were only a 5 minute walk to my son’s apartment & the outdoor dining & lounge area along with the bbq made entertaining so convenient! Definitely recommending this place to all friends & family!! Thank you for such a memorable trip!!!

Charming and great location!
We loved how close we were to everything! One street over from restaurants, shops, grocery store, and boba tea shops! Easy parking and a short walk to the beach. Charming garden and comfortable beds. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Endroit charmant avec son jardin arrière. Belle distance de marche de Kits à Grandville island (8 km environ). Bien apprécié l’emplacement, avec les restaurants et l’épicerie à 2 minutes de marche. Merci aux proprios pour les petites attentions: muffins, café et soda.

Cozy unit in a fantastic Vancouver neighbourhood.
Located in the thriving neighbourhood of Kitsilano in easy walking distance to bars restaurants and bus routes . This is a great place to stay. Two comfortable double bedrooms with comfy beds . The kitchen/ diner / sitting room is snug but comfortable and well organised with generous pantry provision . There is a large outdoor seating area in a pleasant garden. The location of the unit- means it is shaded but it is well lit and balanced by the French doors which access on to the garden. Christine and Patrick were great to deal with very flexible and provided lots of info on Vancouver and transport. This was our second trip to the city and we loved it- it’s a great place to visit and this property was perfect for our needs . Can recommend and will definitely stay here again if we make another trip here. 👍🏼😀

Great place to stay
Lovely 2 bedroom property in a residential area within a 5minute walk to shops and transportation, so convenient. Covered patio with table and chairs to enjoy a meal and a lovely sitting area in the garden surrounded by birds Our host Christine and Pat were great loved the fresh muffins and all the local information thank you again

Unique treasure
We got to the property later on in the evening. All we had to do was put in our door code and we were in home away from home. Everything was clean and we didn’t have want for anything. We had coffee and toast in the morning. We were close to great shopping and more restaurants than. You could ask for! We either ate out for dinner or bought some groceries from the Safeway store a couple of blocks away. The garden area was beautiful with a table and chairs to have meals outside or lounge chairs just to sit and enjoy all the wonderful plants! What a perfect place to stay!

Property in nice. Location is great to various parts of the city including bus line. Hosts were wonderful and helpful. Bedrooms are tight with lots of luggage for our cruise but we managed just fine. Overall was a nice stay

Living among the trees and plants in an upscale Vancouver neighborhood.
Among the rows of large homes built during Vancouver's early years of prosperity as a major west coast sea port developing around it's export/import trade with Asia is this home: The Kitsilano House. To say the property is lush with greenery carefully tended by the owners would be an understatement. The greenery surrounding the house actually obscures the view of the house from the street. Looking through the French doors into the patio and backyard from the kitchen nook is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lives. To top it all off, the hosts Christine and Patrick, are very engaging people who are happy to spend time with their guests both in resolving problems and in connecting them with all the excitement and wonders of one of North America's greatest cities. Very highly recommended.

Cozy garden retreat in peaceful Kits
We had such a lovely time at Christine’s beautiful Kits garden-level apartment. We arrived to delicious homemade blueberry muffins and Christine checked in on us regularly throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable. We had the most peaceful breakfasts in their beautiful garden! They truly created such a special space just outside our front door, surrounded by greenery and with the occasional squirrel or bird visitor. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for everything, Christine!

Location is terrific for using public transportation
Great location! Loads of shops and restaurants on Broadway, also a car garage pretty much right behind Pat & Christine’s location. There are many delivery trucks which use the back lane so one thing to think about if you like to sleep in- you won’t. We didn’t really meet the hosts other than a quick wave and a few words in passing - host communication via text was adequate and worked great. Paper with instructions & area info was provided and useful, I love that this property recycles and composts. Vancouver was cooler than expected and suite damp, there is no separate heating for the unit, however a ceramic heater was provided which was greatly appreciated (super unusual cool weather for this time of year) Water for bathing was hot. Beds, comfortable. Laundry - easy to use machines. Beautiful outdoor gardens. Great bird watching while you eat:) Loved the option to BBQ! We had a wonderful surprise, a stove top for cooking soups, eggs and other … oven was overlooked and uncleaned (wasn’t advertised in the suite though) Equipped with most household item. Hosts also provided a hard sided cooler for outdoor food storage. It was in need of a power clean in the tub but functioned as it should once cleaned. Also provided was a second mini fridge as we stayed greater than a week. All in all very accommodating. Suite is cozy- couch and tv armoire are great but a tad oversized for the space making it a bit difficult to manoeuvre, we moved the couch to make it more convenient for our stay and all was good. A sweet welcome note was left- we were the 1st guests since Covid halted much travel. I did anticipate there to be spray alcohol for sanitizing upon our arrival - there was plenty of cleaning agents and pump sanitizer. We did encounter a few issues that where overlooked assuming it was covid sanitized, I asked for a broom and one was provided. It felt like a rental suite, which was confirmed - a few things could have been cleaned more throughly but over all it was good and I would stay again at this property! Next time BBQ with the hosts.

Best location
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts have provided a clean, comfortable and well-equipped home-away--from-home. The location, in my view, is unbeatable, with shops and terrific restaurants a block and a half away. I will definitely come back when in Vancouver.

Fantastic Garden Suite
We had a wonderful experience. Christine was incredibly attentive and had muffins waiting for us when we arrived which the kids loved. She stayed in constant contact and was available to answer any questions and address any concerns. The suite was clean and nice and the backyard was wonderful. The kids loved the dozens of birds that were frequent visitors and had a great time. This is a wonderful central space on the west side of Vancouver that I would highly recommend.

Meticulous and beautiful suite.
I had to travel to Vancouver during the Covid crisis, and this place was so meticulous that it put many of my fears to rest. We were able to do what we had to do, and then we were able to isolate easily in this suite. There were disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer for us to use when we had to pick up groceries. A beautiful neighbourhood surrounded us for a little walk and take-out places were a block away. We watched netflix movies on their tv as well. Check in was seamless and the owners always replied promptly to questions. This is the best place to stay if you have to go to Vancouver.

Quaint, quiet and clean!
We had a two night stay here at west side, Vancouver while on our way to Whistler. It was perfect. Great location to restaurants and retail. The unit was very clean and well equipped, lots of hand sanitizer and wipes to keep you virus free! We are so glad we kept our reservation. The hosts were very welcoming and will give you lots of info about where to go while visiting. I would highly recommend!!

We make the health of our guests a priority by providing things such as wipes, hand sanitizer and added a Honeywell Allergen Remover Air Purifier with HEPA filters that captures up to 99.97% of microscopic allergens 0.3 microns and larger, reduces odours, VOCs, and certain germs in the unit. We also disinfect and clean the unit thoroughly once our guests leave so the unit is sanitized and ready for our next guests. Perfect Hosts
Comfy beds, quiet neighbourhood, great access to shops and public transit, this apartment had a lot going for it. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, welcoming us with wine and muffins, preparing the barbecue and providing us with barbecue utensils when we mentioned that we wanted to use it. It was a great barbecue too.

Cozy home in a lovely neighborhood
Our family of two adults and a teenager visited Vancouver for 5 days in December. Our communication with Christine and Pat before our visit was efficient and extremely helpful. We arrived to find warm muffins, bottle of wine and candy waiting for us. Our hosts were most helpful, had many suggestions for activities and even gave us a ride to a bus stop for our trip to Whistler. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. There is a fantastic Greek grocery/deli/cafe one block away, and many other places to eat in walking distance. The home had everything you might need for a pleasant stay - from shampoo in the bathroom to ketchup in the fridge. The patio gives you extra space if the weather is warm. Perfectly located
We had a lovely 3 day stay. The property was perfectly clean, and the photos accurate. Christine was very communicative, and the check-in very simple. The neighborhood is great - close to downtown, close to UBC, and great restaurants & shopping right nearby. I would stay here again!

Wonderful location, great accommodations, superb hosts
I just got in from a fabulous visit to this well-appointed garden apartment in what I believe is one of the most walkable, fun neighborhoods of Vancouver. You can walk to Kitsilano Beach, Granville Island Public Market, and Jericho Beach. You can have a drink at a local pub (the Fringe Cafe) and hear fun music while chatting with a local. Your car can break down, and your gracious hosts drive you late at night to pick up your kids from the concert you brought them there to see. Really. Best hosts ever! Great, perfect and comfy, impeccably clean apartment. Slept so well. Oh yeah. Chewie’s Biscuit Co. for breakfast is not to be missed. I will be back for sure! Thanks Christine and Pat! Come on down to Portland.

Good stay but bad odour
Overwhelming scent of a dirty cat litterbox was disappointing. The stay itself was fine tho and the hosts were very nice!

Hi JP, sorry to hear about the odour... this issue was never raised during your stay or before with any other guests. It may have been brought on from the outside due to the heavy rain and dampness we've had these recent weeks. It is rainy season in Vancouver right now. We added some air refreshers to help with the odour and we will recommend keeping the heat on to keep the dampness and smell out of the house to our next visitors . Thank you for the nice note you left with us, we are glad you enjoyed your stay.

Home away from home!
Easy and responsive communication, friendly and comprehensive check in, great location and amazing attention to detail. We were in Vancouver for the Thanksgiving weekend to spend time with family and we were grateful for this home away from home. Fabulouse Kitsilano property and hosts
Very charming, cosy, welcoming and thoughtfully set up property to meet the need for either long or short term stay. Excellent facilities with the friendliest hosts for whom nothing was an issue. The location in Kitsilano may look at little out of downtown however it is only a very short, frequent bus trip away at very reasonable cost with the advantage of a lovely setting with leafy streets of classic heritage properties. If we were lucky enough to be in Vancouver again we would most definitely stay with Christine and Pat.

New home, new adventures, new friends
Christine and Patrick are not just any other vacation rental hosts; they are one of the most welcoming, helpful, kind and friendly hosts that we have ever met. Upon arrival, they guided us around the house and also gave us a nice mini tour. Their house was perfectly clean, well maintained and also warm and cosy - it certainly gave off a "home away from home" sort of feeling! Initially we were rather worried that the garden/backyard may be a hassle for us but instead, it made the entire house feel more like home... there were birds chirping in the morning, the occasional appearance of squirrels and also the cute neighborhood cat, Leo. After staying for nearly two weeks, we became accustomed to the accompaniment of these friendly pets and keep wondering if they will appear again the next day. There was certainly a nice blend of nature in this house and this neighborhood, which made our stay really peaceful. As for the hosts, they were always ready to help whenever we needed anything. We could communicate well with one another, and thanks to them, we had a comfortable stay throughout our trip. We even got to travel to many nice places that were suggested by the hosts themselves. Despite the great condition of the house, facilities and the neighborhood, what we were most truly grateful about was to have met two amazing people, Christine and Patrick. A huge thank you for providing us a great place to stay, showing us great places to visit and also for welcoming us as friends. In this trip, not only have we found a new home or new adventures, but we have also made new friends. wonderful spot in great neighborhood
I stayed at this house with my two young children. It is an absolutely lovely place (if anything, nicer than it appears in the photos), and the hosts were gracious and thoughtful. They were excellent communicators and also provided lots of useful suggestions in terms of tourist activities. The neighborhood is terrific -- well located in terms of downtown etc. and full of great restaurants. I would definitely stay here again on another trip to Vancouver!

Great location and lovely owners
We are a family of three who needed a place to stay before relocating from Vancouver to our new temporary home overseas. We live in Kitsilano so we are already very familiar with the neighbourhood and this really is an extremely convenient location. The house is located one block away from Broadway with buses to downtown and elsewhere in Kitsilano (buses 9, 14 and 99), a pharmacy (Shoppers Drug Mart), grocery store (Safeway and local fruit/veg markets), dollar store, toy store, and a multitude of restaurants etc. Basically everything you need! The house is a heritage home and the portion of the home where we stayed was incredibly private with our own entrance, gate, outdoor eating area and even a BBQ! Our six year old son enjoyed the space outside and it was nice to be able to enjoy our evening meal in the garden. There is even a friendly cat Leo. : ) Indoors is a small but cozy space. It appears newly renovated, and is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. There is a nice deep bath and bathroom. We had a good sleep and so did our son. As it is in the basement it can get a little chilly in the evening but with a quick text to the owners the heat is turned on. We had access to TV, Netflix and internet without issue. The owners Christine and Pat are lovely. As we are from Vancouver we did not require their assistance however they are extremely approachable and for those new to Vancouver, they have provided many pamphlets, maps etc. to help you navigate your way around the city or plan nearby adventures . Overall, we would highly recommend a stay here! The Carey family

Accommodating and so personable!
Pat and Christine went way beyond their duties property owners and we felt more like family than just temporary renters. We now have new Canadian friends to continue a long relationship. Top notch amenities. Beautiful garden. Photos don't do it justice. Birds ,flowers and nature add to the ultimate vacay! Everything is so close too! Also, awesome neighbors!
