A beautiful getaway

This was a perfect place to stay after my half Ironman in Indian Wells. Close to everything: San Diego, Escondido for shopping, restaurants and hiking trails (Loved the Hodges Lake Crest to Coast trail) and close to the Anza Borrego Desert state park. Bed was super comfy, loved streaming Netflix with surround sound speakers and relaxing in the hot tub at night. The hosts were responsive to my few questions upon initial arrival, very friendly, but otherwise I had lots of privacy too. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here!

My sisters and I found it to be really nice. It was very clean and everything was great. The couches are very comfortable. It was easy to sign into our own Netflix to watch a movie. inward retreat

It was the perfect place to come by myself to escape home and do an online event where I could have quiet and focus and then completely relax in the hot tub afterward. I appreciated all the blooming plants that surrounded the property and taking a walk in the area. Plus the hosts were super gracious and welcoming.

Amazing!

This property was in an absolutely idyllic setting. The air literally smelled like fruit and flowers. I had never been to this area of California and was blown away by its beauty. The place itself was clean and comfortable and perfect for my daughter and I for our weekend trip. The host, Linda, was above-and-beyond in terms of being helpful and warm and kind. I would 110% stay here again.

The property is really beautiful and so is the location, it can just be a little hard to find. Definitely recommend going to check in during the day. Linda and Larry were both great and welcoming. We were in communication from before the trip, to the time we left. It was nice so there was no confusion from either party.

Great weekend getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. The views were beautiful and the hot tub was a nice bonus. The bed was so comfortable and we slept good. Linda was a great host, kind, and very communicative. We plan to stay here again in the future.

Linda was amazing and very responsive to our questions. The scenery is gorgeous, and there are nice parks with creeks and lakes relatively close. The roads have lots of curves, so keep this in mind if you are driving. We loved our stay!

A Little Slice of Heaven!

Surrounded by orange groves and avocado trees this sets the stage for the arrival of this beautiful vacation home. The entrance is absolutely heavenly! Jasmine trees and beautiful flowers line the path making the coming and going extra special. Very comfortable inside and the bed was perfect! A nice breeze coming through the windows made it easy to sleep! We enjoyed coming back to relax after spending time visiting with friends and family. It’s a perfect location if you’re spending time in the Temecula/Riverside area most of the time all the traffic was going there opposite direction. Close to San Diego airport and also a short drive to the beach. Linda and her husband were excellent hosts and provided us with places to go and eat or shop in the local area. We will definitely be back. Thank you

A cozy place with tranquilizing view

We rented the place to attend a wedding in Fallbrook over the weekend. The place is cozy and yet works well for the three of us. Plenty of cooking essentials and more throughout the unit. Bed is comfortable It's clean and airy. The view is unbeatable. However the weather is gloomy and so we didn't explore the land as much as we wished for. The Jacuzzi is icing on the cake. Very relaxing. Linda is a nice and friendly host. She and Larry provide full privacy to us even they are right door. The drive to the place is winding and narrow, no lights at night, but we managed. Overall, a fantastic and enjoyable stay.

Home in the hills

We really enjoyed our stay in the Valley Center area. The apartment was perfect for us. Linda was a great host and was always easy to get in touch with. The fresh oranges she brought us were delicious! We enjoyed the views from the hot tub several times during our stay. We would definitely come and stay again if we come back to this area.

Wonderful and Relaxing Stay!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful apartment with great outdoor space. Very peaceful and relaxing, but close to many wineries, restaurants and casinos. We were there for dinner and a show at Harrahs. Really enjoyed the hot tub! Thanks for a great staycation!

Lovely Spot for Exploring SoCal

Linda and Larry are warm and welcoming hosts who responded quickly to any of our questions or needs. They obviously enjoy digging in the dirt, surrounding the home are gorgeous plants, shrubs, pots, and trees. Linda even left us a bag of tangelos picked right off their trees - so good (and BIG)!! The apartment is private, nice & roomy, and well-equipped. In particular the pots, pans, and appliances are all first-rate. The immediate area is quite beautiful, very hilly with some remaining small agricultural plots. It seems the locals are trying hard to fend off new development, and continue to raise several dogs, some chickens, and maybe a goat or two! We hope they are able to retain this more rustic flavor. San Diego county is crowded, but has also protected many diverse natural reserves and state parks. This location in Valley Center allowed us to hike desert (Anza-Borrega SP), wooded mountains (Palomar Mountain SP), seaside cliffs (Torrey Pines NR), beach (Dana Point Headlands), and local hills (Daley Ranch & Elfin Forest reserves) - all within a couple hours drive. After a long (wonderful) day outdoors - it was so nice to come back for a great shower and a glass of wine on the cozy deck for a lovely sunset against the hills! Really nice little apartment!

The listing was exactly as described/pictured. The location was where we wanted to be in the rural Escondido/Valley Center area. We visited family locally, and enjoyed this refuge after big family functions! We enjoyed the hot tub - a perfect way to relax after other activities. The deck plants were lovely - I wish I had longer to sit and enjoy the space. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
