A nice, clean house. It had everything we needed for our week long trip in the Bay area. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is less than 5 minutes away if you have a Six Flags pass. It's also very accessible to food places and freeways should you need to head towards the San Francisco area. I loved the fact that there is a "No shoes in the house" rule. And the hallway closet upon entry was a good place to put the shoes.
That being said, as we arrive towards the house, we parallel the railroad tracks and round the corner to the third house up the street. The neighborhood seemed shady, and the house is across the street from the high school. But three blocks away, the neighborhood is much more appealing. Although we were so close to the railroad tracks, we heard no train pass by, which made for a quiet stay. Sometime during our stay though, we noticed police activity right by the railroad tracks and a few people were detained. It was a bit disconcerting.
The house itself was updated to provide a comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen had more than enough tableware to use for meals. The washer and dryer was always a plus, but it was a tad too high for me that my husband was doing all our laundry since I couldn't reach in to get the clothes. But that's a design inconvenience through no fault of the owner. Adan was quick to respond to any questions I had and I felt comfortable communicating with him.
Nice roomy backyard, but we didn't get to use it much. There's a house in the back which deterred us from comfortably utilizing the open space back there and the kitchen windows didn't quite provide the privacy we wanted. I had to tell my daughter to keep her bedroom door closed at all times since that bedroom was in full view from the outside.
Overall though, these minor inconveniences didn't deter us from having a wonderful stay. Most of the day, we were out and about, and came home to really just eat, shower and sleep. So thank you for offering your comfortable house to us.
