"we arrived late, 9pm and this wasn't a problem. we were well looked after and no hassle. and the bed was fantastic!! very happy to recommend and visit again too."

"We stayed in the Miners Room 1. It was really good, I’d stay there again. The bath tub under the shower is weird and probably doesn’t need to be there… The wall between the 2 rooms is brick but sounds like it’s paper so hopefully your neighbours go to sleep the same time as you. The are only teaspoons available so if you take food and you need a knife or fork make sure to take them. I’d definitely stay again though. For the price it’s comfortable. "

"Amazing set up with an old Victorian decor and nice facilities. Breakfast is terrific and the hosts Jim and Heidi are next level good. They make your stay so nice and nothing is too much trouble. We would stay here again without hesitation."

"In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!"

"Chris is a wonderful hostess, friendly and helpful. If you love dogs this is an excellent B&B, even if you don't have yours with you. If you do, they can enjoy a secure yard with a view of the passing world, and are welcome to share space indoors too."

"the property is in transition (on the day) to a new owner - the room didn't have a tv, a fridge, a table, a chair to sit comfortably or coffee - the toilet seat was broken - when we arrived it was if we were unexpected - certainly not what we expected for $300 - don't submit this review please as the new owners need time to get things sorted"

"I specifically Chose This accommodation As It advertised payment on arrival. I was frustrated and upset on arrival to be told by reception our booking was being canceled due to my credit card not being "valid". I Use a Load and Go Visa for Hotel bookings on A Regular Basis And This Is The First accommodation Provider To refuse A booking. I Had To Contact A Relative To Arrange Another Credit Card For "security" purposes. The room was a very poor example of 1980's take on Victorian Era Decoration....
