La Pokade
We are a family of 6 adults who stayed at La Pokade from 22-29July 2023. The villa was well situated for our needs, close to bars, restaurants and the beach (need a car) but quiet and private when at the villa. The villa has a lovely well maintained pool. The outside kitchen/ dining area was well used. The bedrooms were clean and well appointed and the kitchen had everything that you could need for a short stay. The villa itself has a good level of comfort, but also keeping the feeling of a family home.
There are two points that I wish to make. One is on the VRBO website which states arrival from 5pm, with no cut off time. I have spoken to the owner who assured me that house rule no2 states a check-in time of 5-8pm. I haven’t been able to find that, but it did require me to negotiate with the owner prior to arrival as we were well outside that time frame. We did come to an amicable agreement. The other point is that many of the plates and mugs were chipped. I flagged that to the owner who was happy to sort it out on his next visit to the property. As a family we enjoyed our experience at La Pokade very much. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful.
