Perfect little lake house

Home our mother's 83rd birthday party cookout at the lake house with a few family members and it was a great day. Everyone loved the house. We enjoyed the stay

A wonderful pet- friendly rental! We drove from NC to stay on the lake and were very happy with this cute little cottage. Comfortable inside with great views outside. Overall a great space for entertaining family and friends or just chilling out for a bit. And our lab enjoyed herself too!

Stacation destiny

We just needed to get away but stay local. The cabin was perfect for us and our senior dog. Peaceful and quiet. I will be going back there again. Great place!

Nice Relaxing Break from the World

My dad and uncle stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed themselves tremendously. Beautiful view and wonderful little cottage. Thank you John for a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back!

Perfect!

Very comfortable and clean cottage that had everything we needed. Two of us old friends had an awesome time, enjoying the cottage, the lake and gorgeous surroundings. It was hard to leave!😎😎

Love the sunsets!

Very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed using the kayaks. The sunsets really are incredible! Great communication from John.

Beautiful View

Enjoyed a long weekend with beautiful view of Kinderhook lake. Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. John was a great host and returned call quickly when I had questions! Will definitely return next year.

Great place. Calm and relaxing.

It was just the getaway that we needed. Very chill place away from suburbs. Great view of the sunset. Everything you'll need besides linens is there. Will recomend.

Perfect Vacation spot!

Clean and very comfortable cottage at the water's edge. We had a great time kayaking, enjoying the deck and watching the wildlife, visiting Hudson and Chatham and taking walks. Thanks, John!

Great location and stay!

We are a family with 3 small children and this was a perfect space for us! It was very clean and well put together and had everything we needed! Communication all the way through was great and made the process very easy! I would highly recommend and we would definitely come back again!

I stayed at John’s cabin with my husband and our 1-year old son toward the end of August. This was our second time staying at his cabin as our close friends own the cabin next door. It’s always so perfect and I never want to leave. The lake is right outside the back door and the deck gets amazing sunlight. The sunsets are priceless. If I have my way, it will be an annual tradition for our family for years to come!

Beautiful Spot on Kinderhook

Rented to visit my niece for a long weekend visit and avoid hotels. My niece and her Mom ended up day tripping to Kinderhook and they loved the location, the property, and getting out on the lake with paddleboards and kayaks. Very nice quiet area. Along with the lake, we enjoyed taking walks on the nearby trail that goes by horse farms. Overall great trip. John was a great host and answered any questions we had.

Wonderful lake house

We really enjoyed our stay on Kinderhook lake. We kayaked and swam in the lake, my relatives came over for a BBQ and the kids fished off the dock. My dogs were comfortable and safe there which I always appreciate. It was very comfortable and we will definitely stay there again! Our host was very nice and helpful although we didn't have any issues he still made sure we were ok and knew how to get into the place and get everything turned on.

Very peaceful setting

We stayed here for three nights in later July 2022. The location is very peaceful and the views from the deck in the evening were beautiful. We kayaked a bit, explored the region a bit, read a lot, and just relaxed. The owner was very communicative and responsive. I'd definitely recommend this rental if you're looking for peace.

Relaxing Escape to Kinderhook Lake

Our stay at Kinderhook Lake was the escape from the City that my family needed. The house and property were refreshingly comfortable and clean. The surrounding area could not be beat for a safe, quiet, and picturesque stay. John made sure that the check-in and out processes were simple and seamless. He was communicative and a true pleasure to speak with. We won't hesitate to stay here again, and to recommend the same to friends and family.

Fantastic cottage! Neighbors hardly around and deck large and comfy. The enclosed porch was huge and allowed card game fun! My 92 year old Mom was craving quiet and peaceful lake vibes and this cottage was perfect. New large Roku tv was great! Comfy couches and well equipped kitchen! The owner John was quick to respond to questions before we got there so I knew what to bring. Easy parking and no step in. THANKS John!

Nice cottage on the lake - excellent location

Had a nice three night stay at this cottage on the lake Host communicated well, and we enjoyed our stay Pet friendly location right on the water of Kinderhook lake, can walk from the grass into the lake and the lake is about 4 feet deep out about 100 feet. Some rocks near the shore, bring water shoes.

What a beautiful location on Kinderhook Lake. When you aren’t on the water, you will want to enjoy viewing the lake from the nice sized deck or from the dining table on the windowed porch. I traveled with my two young adult children and pup. The cottage was the perfect size for us. WiFi was great, one of us had to work a day while there. We kayaked every morning and evening, the provided kayaks were wonderful. There is plenty to explore on the 350 acre lake, saw bald eagles every day right near the cottage! The Empire State Trail is a 5 minute walk away, easy for a walk with the dog or cycling if you bring along your bikes. Our stay at John’s cottage was very relaxing and just what we needed!

Lake Life

Gorgeous view from morning til night! We stayed here to be near RPI for our daughter's graduation, so we knew we'd be busy and not able to enjoy the area. Yet, being right on the lake was so relaxing and inviting. We loved it more than we expected. John was accommodating and gracious. The house was ready for us, and even though we arrived later than planned, that wasn't a problem. If you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway, I would recommend staying here!
