There are so many good things to say about this VRBO, so I will try to hit the highlights. First of all, the Lion Square Lodge is conveniently located to the gondola. We walked out the door to get our skis and snowboards at the ski valet, which is included in the stay. The equipment is locked up nightly and the valet opens at 8:30am. We grabbed our equipment and walked fifty steps to the gondola. Secondly, the lodge itself has so many things to offer, such as a hot tub, heated pool, business office and washer/dryers. The facility provides washing powder,so you don't have to bring your own. The lobby has a coffee bar, which provides coffee, tea and hot chocolate daily. You can sit by the fire place and enjoy your morning beverage as you look out the windows at the slope or read the local paper, which is provided. The concierge Julie is so helpful if you need suggestions for excursions or dinner. The facility provides a free shuttle service to the village, so you don't have to drive to dinner reservations or to shopping. When you are ready to return to the condo, you can call the shuttle to come pick you up as long as it is before 10:30pm. If you need to stay out longer, then the city shuttle runs daily until 2am. We felt that this shuttle service was a huge benefit and so easy to use. I did not drive my rental anywhere. It was parked for the week.
As for the room itself, it is a hotel room with a kitchenette and table for two. It has two very comfortable queen size beds, a glass table w/ 2 chairs and a small bathroom. We had four adults staying in the room and it was tight with luggage, snow boots and helmets. However, I am not complaining. I just want renters to be aware of the limited space. It is so worth it! We all slept well. There is a humidifier and large box fan in the room, so this helped with moisture issues and "white noise".
I totally recommend Lion Square #465. I have made the trip to the Colorado Mountains for the past three years and this is the BEST place so far. Book your trip today and enjoy!!
