This really is a cute house - it’s small but was plenty big enough for me. It was perfectly clean and the beds were very comfortable. It’s very nice to have the privacy of a house, rather than sharing walls with your neighbors as one does in a typical condo building. The spacious deck has a tremendous view of forested mountainsides and sky - it’s a great spot to watch the drama of the weather. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the appliances are of excellent quality. All in all it’s a great place, but I did feel it fell short if perfection in a couple of ways. First, the proximity of both I-70 and Bighorn Rd makes for a lot of traffic noise, especially during the day. Second, there are no curtains on any of the windows - just transparent roller shades, so it!s a bit like being in a fishbowl. For an exhibitionist, it would be a dream come true, but I felt uncomfortable, and had to resort to hanging towels and sheets on the windows for privacy.
There us one other, more important thing that needs to be addressed. There is a large patch of poison hemlock behind the house, right next to the deck. These plants are extremely toxic: ingestion of even a tiny amount can cause a fatal respiratory paralysis. Their presence so close to the house is a real danger, particularly if there are children playing around who might accidentally come in contact with them. They need to be removed.
