Great stay for a ski getaway

Loved staying at this property. We were two couples, so it wasn’t the best configuration since the second bedroom had bunk beds, but it worked well enough and it would be perfect for a family with kids in the second bedroom. Mary was very responsive and friendly. The property was located in between the two ski lifts with a shuttle bus. Note that it’s on the third floor with no elevator. Not a big deal for us, but might be an issue for some. We’d love to come back sometime in the future.

Has everything!

No complaints about this rental! All the positives were: a comfy mater bedroom, a room full of bunks for our kids, a kitchen that joined with the dining area and family room so we could all talk, fully stocked kitchen with wine opener, toaster, dishes, etc, products in the bathroom for the taking if you forgot something, also hot chocolate, etc in the pantry for the renters to enjoy. In addition, I really enjoyed the view of the mountain out or window - could see the skiers coming down the mountain in the distance and the unit had a great gas fireplace to sit next to while the snow fell. And the best part, Mary, the owner, was so responsive! I could tell it mattered to her that we had a good stay.

DeLo Family Trip

Cozy condo in a great location - walking distance to both Vail Village and Lionshead. Plenty of space for a family of four with a nice comfortable living area to rest after a long day on the slopes.

Clean Comfortable Excellent Location

We had several options available to us but we focused on location, and this place was perfect. It is easy walking distance into the middle of Vail Village or Lionshead or, if you are carrying your skis, you can take the bus that comes right by the condo. The furnishings are very comfortable and Mary was quick to answer any questions. I would stay here again.

Wonderful location beautiful condo

Comfortable, clean condo in the heart of Vail Village! Well appointed kitchen and everything in the condo looks brand new! Our host, Mary was exceptional answering any and all questions and making sure our trip was fantastic!! Can’t wait to return! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Great Experience, Good Location, Definitely Recommend

My son and I decided to do a short three day ski trip just after Christmas, and the experience was terrific. We would normally stay in Lionshead or the Village, I was suspect of the location, but the location turned out top work just fine. Two stops from Liopnshead, and three for the bridge in the village, made this way better than expected. The walk to the Village is only 1.5 blocks. Walk to Lionshead not bad either. Condo was terrific as well. Well appointed, kitchen had everything you need, beds were super comfy. The second bedroom had bunk beds, that included a larger lower bunk which worked well for my 6'5", 250 lb son. The showers also had good pressure. Very clean unit, and I would certainly use again, and highly recommend.

Cozy and easy going condo.

Located within walking distance (15 minutes) from gondola one or take a 5 minutes bus shuttle if you have too much to carry. This condo is as good as it gets. Two bedroom with bunk beds in the 2nd br makes for comfortable sleeping for 6. And you’ll appreciate that 2nd bathroom when everyone’s getting ready to hit the slopes. And oh! If you’re hesitating about Vail vs other destinations, don’t. It’s a fantastic resort and the condo is located right near the center village which is really a treat. Finally, if you appreciate an owner who is accessible and answer’s your messages quickly, you won’t be disappointed. Mary is on the ball ! The condo is stocked up so you’re not in trouble running around for sugar, salt or ketchup. Even had some wine and beer in the pantry. We had 2 adult children my wife and I. We had a blast.

Very nice place!

Stay was great and all the amenities. Clean and comfortable. Good communication with owner when we had questions about amenities. Only issue was owner would not give check in information until we were waiting at the door because she somehow thought my family was college age students even thought we emailed our ages (58, 27, 24) and were all there the whole time.

Perfect cozy condo

Beautiful condo that shows even better in person than in photos. The property is stocked with toiletries, kitchen essentials, Netflix, board games, etc. We had a lot of fun playing Settlers of Catan one cold night. Great location, couple minutes walk from shuttle stop that takes you to the village, market, etc.

The pictures don't do justice to this place—a very cozy, comfortable, well-equipped place with an excellent location. The owner provided everything to make our ski trip worry-free easy, and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Ideal location

This was our first visit to Vail and we were uncertain as to how convenient staying in a condo would be relative to a hotel in one of the villages. We made the right choice to choose this condo. It’s an easy walk of ten minutes to either Lionshead or Vail Village. There is a free village shuttle bus that stops practically in front of the property every ten minutes, cutting your 10 minute walk to a 2 minute bus ride. Well stocked with everything you need. For example, the first thing we noticed was a bank of charger cords for any kind of device you might have. Kitchen has everything you need and more … and we like to cook! We rented skis in Lionshead and kept them at the rental shop overnight. We mostly ate dinners cooking at “home” or in one the many exquisite restaurants in Vail Village. Mary was was quick to respond and check-in was effortless.

Excellent Location

Well appointed condo in excellent location. Better than the description with a newer couch. Beds were comfortable and all amenities that were described were available. I would highly recommend to families! It was also built in exercise being on the third floor.

New Year's in Vail

The condo was very nice with good space for our family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for any meals, snacks or cocktails. The location was great - short walk to Vail Village and a shuttle stop pretty much across the street. We were never able to get the wifi to work, but no big deal. Navigation of the main TV took a bit of trial and error, but we were able to find what we needed for bowl games and the NYE ball drop. Couldn't quite figure out the fireplace, but I think we would have been too warm with it on. Better directions for this would be our suggestion. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location! Clean condo!

Location was great!! A block from Vail village. Closer to Vail Village but close enough to Lionshead as well. Walking distance to everything. Condo was clean and well stocked. Our only complaint was that my husband wanted to watch Football on New Year’s day but there were no ESPN CHANNELS or local networks to watch on. Only in Spanish. Otherwise it was great and my family would stay there again for sure.

A very Merry Christmas

My family of 5 (3 large sons and wife) traveled to Vail for Christmas and had a blast. The home is very well equipped with all that you will need to enjoy a stay no matter the time of year. We were able to walk to the lions head gondola in about 5 minutes and all of the shops are a block away. We will be happy to stay here again next year.

Perfect Location and Great Owner

We stayed at the Alphorn in this condo...it is right next to the Four Seasons and super close to Lionshead Gondola. This is on the 3rd floor (top of the building) , so we never heard the clank clank of ski boots of the other units. :) The place is clean, decorated well and plenty of room for 4 kids and 2 adults . Great family location . Mary was terrific ...as we had some questions, she responded immediately. Would definitely stay there again.

A positive experience.

The location to Gondola One & Lionshead was within walking distance. The condo decor was tasteful ; the living area was large. The personal family touches made it feel more homey than a sterile hotel room. The towels were soft & lush and plenty of hot shower water. The view is lovely overlooking the mountain. We definitely would return.

Adequate but did not meet expectations

We had an overall amazing stay in Vail and appreciated the condo's location. However, we found a few aspects about the condo/owner to be a "turnoff". We would recommend exploring other options before committing to this condo. 1. When we arrived, we found the fridge to be almost full. We texted the owner if these items were leftover or for guest use and she requested that we move all of the nonperishable items to the closet.... Since we were staying for several days over Christmas this was very inconvenient and unexpected. 2. The fireplace did not work. We also asked the owner for troubleshooting and she responded that it should work and that instructions are provided. We responded that it is still not working and we did not receive any further response, empathy, or help to figure it out. 3. When reserving, the confirmation stated checkout to be 11am, however the owner had changed checkout to 10am in her email the day before check in. I asked to confirm the 11am checkout and received no response... While the condo was adequate, overall, we experienced poor communication and felt that the owner put little care into this being a vacation rental.
