Great location. Well appointed
Great location. Literally steps to the gondola. Condo is older but well maintained on an elevator building. Bed area separated from living room by a wall unit of shelves and cabinets. Nicely appointed. Loved the bed.

Great location! Good price for the being right in the village. Room is feeling it's age and needs to be updated. The bed was like a ROCK, very uncomfortable. The gas fireplace was nice.

Dated Condo with Bad Smell
Although the location of this property is great (overlooking the Lions Head Village Square), the unit itself left much to be desired. The first thing we noticed when we walked into to condo was that the sliding glass door to the balcony was left ajar. Once we entered into the small kitchenette, we knew why! The smell was terrible. Housekeeping must have left the door open to air out the condo. We summarized that the smell was coming from the garbage disposal. We repeatedly put baking soda down the disposal, turned it on, ran water, etc., but the smell never went away. Furthermore, although we found the unit relatively clean, the fixtures were extremely dated - the commode, shower and bathroom sink area were a throwback to the 1970s. In the shower/commode area, the fan/light was not installed properly and was hanging out of the ceiling with a big gap. Finally, my husband and I agreed that the bed was the most uncomfortable one we had ever slept on in a VRBO rental. Other things to consider were that the balcony for this unit directly overlooks the Lions Head Village playground. We didn’t mind it, but if you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the balcony, you might think again. And the unit had no air conditioning- just an oscillating fan that we aimed directly at our bed at night. We were there over Labor Day weekend when it was somewhat warm during the day and cool at night, but I can’t imagine staying there in the heat of the summer. We would not stay here again!

I liked the location so close to Gondola and ski school for kids. Right in front of the Arabelle. It is a little run down and very loud due to thin walls and roof No oven just a little microwave and mini fridge. Did not receive upgrade or any treat for my Expedia status ☹️

Lionshead Village ski in/out
Can’t beat the location of this unit. Was slightly small in square footage for our family of four due to large age discrepancy of our kids. Unit was clean and comfortable. Sofa bed was memory foam and was better than average. Nice surprise that the kitchen had a small range/oven combo. We did not have a vehicle but parking would have been expensive and not covered.

Location is great…
We are not sure if we missed it in the listing but there is no A/C. The location is great and there were some really nice touches like the beverages, snacks, sunscreen, etc. in the lobby. The place really needs to be updated. Not sure if they were moving in that direction but they were doing work on the first floor so the exit to lions head village was closed. That was inconvenient for sure but not impossible. I would consider staying again but only if all rooms updated.

nice place, few issues
quality of space is above average and nice, but not fully up to date (i.e. stove, etc.), small counter space in kitchen, no TV in bedroom portion and small TV in Living area. To bring in luggage have to go up stairs. Great location and good service.

Uncomfortable beds and neighbors dogs are aggressive
The queen bed and the couch and couch bed are uncomfortable. I came home after day 2 because I wasn't getting enough sleep. Also, you have a neighbor with two chow looking dogs who let their dogs run the hall way dragging the leash. This neighbor let her dogs aggressively bark at mine. Those chow-type dogs came to the threshold, and it was only me preventing them from coming into the unit after my dog (inside the unit, as I was leashing it for a break). She was rude and had the nerve to say that she's a resident as if that justified her dogs scaring me in the unit, thinking they were going to come in and attack. It all happened fast, they are an issue, and should never come over the threshold of your unit like that, and shouldn't aggressively bark at other dogs in their unit. Very frustrated with this stay, this is my third in Vail, as I live in Denver and ski. I won't be back.

Great Location, Right Out of the 1980s
This unit has an excellent location. Very close to the slopes, restaurants and Vail shuttle, which quickly takes you to Vail Village. The unit is VERY small, but I could tell that from the images and it was fine for two people for a few days. However, it is EXTREMELY dated and in severe need of a cosmetic remodel. I'm always amazed that property owners are so unwilling to invest in a property that otherwise possesses the one great quality that can't be changed (i.e., location). A relatively reasonable amount of money would take this property from one that relies solely on it's location to a property that is really amazing. It has a 5 star location, but with Motel 6-like furniture, furnishings, decor, towels, bedding, and finish-out. The price we paid for the unit warrants a better finish-out and furnishings. If you can find an updated unit in the same complex, take it! You will enjoy the great location.

New Years Trip
Check in was super easy. We just grabbed the key from the outdoor mail box. The location was perfect - 2 minute walk to the ski lift in Lionshead. Easy to communicate before the stay, but once in the condo it was very hard to get in touch with the manager. We had a water problem and there were no blankets or pillows for the pull out couch... The fire place was super nice so that kept us warm. Overall great spot, good facilities, the little kitchen came with all plates/pans/utensils we could have needed.

Good, but could be better
The good: amazing location and very nice staff (especially Scott who was super kind and helpful to us). Kitchen is good, had everything we needed. The bad: Needing a refresh badly. Worst bed I've slept in a rental ever, feels like a cheap sofa bed. Heater has a constant dripping noise (had to turn it off to sleep). Elevator broke down during our stay (hauling family ski gear and luggage up an down the stairs is no easy thing). Water also stopped for a couple of hours one day. After hours phone number (used after 5pm when no front desk is available) was never picked up. Expensive local parking (almost the price of the public garage).

Awesome location and spot
This spot is awesome. Dated as the pictures show but unbelievably clean. Ideal location. Awesome on-site staff and parking. The walk to the chair or gondola takes 3 minutes. I’d come back again and again! Oh and there is a small stove with 4 burners which makes cooking at home so easy.

10/10 amazing stay with more than ideal location
The location of the lodge is a minute from the lions head lift. Beautiful view from balcony and stay is ideal for a couple or small family. Very comfy and cozy stay!

Weekend Get a way
Had a wonderful stay. The view was spectacular the location was perfect. Excellent spot of ease and access to ski runs, shops, and restaurants, everything you need for a wonderful weekend. Parking was on site steps from the door. We cant wait to come back.

Good!
Overall, this was a great stay and we enjoyed the room. Nothing was dirty but there was construction going on outside and within the hotel that surprised us a little. There was so noise during the day but nothing too crazy. For the most part it was easy to get in contact with Vail Management but since we left none of our emails have been answered. We had to leave a day early due to flights being rescheduled and hoped to get a credit for our next stay and unfortunately no one from the Vail Management staff has responded.

Great location w/ everything you need for a small group trip
It is definitely an older place, but as long as you don't have expectations of a fancy getaway, this place is perfect! Nice little kitchen with some separation from the bed area which is nice. Balcony has a great view of the mountain and village area. Location is pretty much unbeatable.

I loved this little place!
This was my 5th trip to Vail and my favorite spot to stay. It was just the two of us this time and for the price it was absolutely perfect. I loved the balcony and the ppl and dog watching! Two great restaurants were right below us. The location is great with convenient parking available. The beds were comfortable and it’s pet friendly! Our little Cavalier, Riley, enjoyed her stay too!

Just “OK”
First and foremost, ignore the pics that you see in the listing. The room pictured in the VRBO listing was NOT the room we received. The room pictured appeared to have been updated, with nicer bedding, furniture, and decorations. Our room was clean, but just looked VERY tired and outdated. Also, the hotel currently is not allowing use of its Hot Tub, citing “COVID Restrictions”. It would have been nice for that to have been disclosed when the room was booked, as opposed to when we arrived. This must be an internal policy, and not a state or local restriction, as we saw guests enjoying pools and hot tubs as we walked past other properties. Aside from those items, the room was fine. Check-in staff was very prompt and courteous, and quick to respond when our hair dryer stopped working. Also, the location is very convenient to enjoy all that Lionshead has to offer. We’d stay here again, but would first have a more exact idea of our accommodations.
