Beautiful cottage weekend away
This was our second time spending a weekend at billabong and it’s still magical. Nothing beats the view from the hot tub, and the up close and personal experience of the wallabies for our 3 year old is so special. The cottage has everything you need and is so lovely and comfortable, we look forward to our next stay.

A breathtaking getaway
Our stay at Billabong was peaceful and surrounded by the beauty of nature. The place was set up well for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We enjoyed seeing and interacting with the wallabies and kangaroos on our doorstep and relaxing on the deck. The weather was cold and windy but the air con and fireplace made sure we were warm and snug. There were plenty of nature walks nearby and we utilised the common recreation area for table tennis and billiards. Overall Billabong suited our needs for a restful getaway with a beautiful view of the Paterson Valley. Would definitely love to return.

Enjoyable, peaceful stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Billabong. Great facilitates, and such a well fitted out cabin. Couldn’t ask for more! Loved seeing the wildlife up close and personal every morning, and the view is amazing! Hope to come back one day, maybe in winter to enjoy the cosy fire!

Beautiful location with wonderful lodgings
This location is very special, the owners of this property clearly put in the effort to make sure your stay is special. The kangaroo food was a must for our toddler! The cabin is so comfortable and homely, we can’t wait to go back!

Peace and Tranquility
Absolutely stunning views. Sitting in the spa looking out at the mountains was one of the most peaceful experiences of my life. Loved feeding the wallabies as well. Highly recommend!

Great stay
Comfortable, cozy, cabin in the clouds. This stay was a great retreat for two couples on a wine tour weekend. Proximity to vineyards in Broke/Pokolbin isn’t the closest, but the views and amenities at Billabong make it a fantastic base. Kitchen was well set up with all the dishes and utensils we needed for big cook-ups and the spa was perfect to relax in. Loved the fire to keep the place warm and cozy.

Amazing views and wonderful wildlife
We had a lovely stay at this property. It’s a very special place to be able stay: right on a small mountain top in the wilderness. The views are spectacular and the wildlife very abundant - we loved the daily and close-up visits from wallabies, kangaroos and possums.

Great location and amenities, issues with room cleanliness (smell) and mozzies
Perfect getaway spot, only dampering experience was room 1. Mozzies were relentless every night, even with all doors and windows closed & deterrants used. Room 1 also had a musky/damp smell.

Property is exactly as described and as shown in photos. Everything you could need is supplied. Very relaxing sitting in the spa and soaking up the view which is truly AMAZING. Enjoyed our friendly visitors (roos) each morning and afternoon. Easy to do day trips but just as easy to stay and relax at the cottage and resort. Can't recommend it enough and hoping to get back sometime soon

relaxing break in nature
The accommodation is situated on a 1000 acre property with a short hike to Mt George. The views of the Barrington Top from the verandah are breathtaking. Various little touches for a romantic trip away, from relaxing in the spa, lying in the hammock or playing board games within the natural surrounds. The kangaroos and birds also come and greet you with was a welcome surprise. Wonderful accommodation, full kitchen to make some delicious meals & spacious rooms. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing, quiet location
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. The outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic, we especially enjoyed watching a storm roll in while sitting in there! The property is well catered with all the kitchen essentials, the bottle of bubbles and chocolates were a lovely addition. Susan was always quick to respond to our queries prior to our stay, checkin was easy. Thank you for having us!

Birthday/Couple Getaway
This was everything I had hoped for: warm spa to watch the sun set and sunrise, indoor fireplace, beautiful view on the mountain top, verandah to sit and enjoy the sun while reading & just peaceful surroundings within nature. The furniture in the house was good quality and had everything we needed. Dealing with Susan was so easy too. I highly recommend this beautiful place to couple/s. It will not dissapoint! We will definitely be back.

Weekend getaway
During the COVID pandemic it was nice to be able to getaway and enjoy a trip away, the view was spectacular, however the screen on the veranda did detract as it was not there in our previous trip. The mattress and pillows did not make for a great nights sleep but still overall a great place to enjoy a calming trip back to nature.

Romantic long weekend away
Very romantic place to stay at billabong spa cabin. The view was absolutely amazing, so secluded and peaceful. We regularly saw kangaroos, possums and green frogs as well as a range of birdlife. The accommodation was perfect with everything thought of. Bbq's on the verandah were a perfect sefting

Beautiful views but the main drawcard of the hot tub on the balcony was a let down. Only one set of hot tub jets were working satisfactorily and that was the seat most away from the view. An automatic insect repellent device would also be handy here

A relaxing, birthday getaway
Celebrating our 40th birthdays, I stayed with my best friend & our partners and had a wonderful time. Perfect three night stay with one full relaxing day with walks and hot tub time and a second full day of Hunter Valley visits. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful - exactly what we were after.
