The rooms are small you can literally sit on the toilet wash your hands and your feet all at the same time. The building is older... They are charging way too much for this hotel however it's all about location If it wasn't for the location this would be $100 a night hotel.

First off all, the room was advertised as being a three person room with a pull out couch. When we arrived, there was no pullout couch. We had to order a cot for an extra charge for our son. We opened the door to a stuffy room that smelled strongly of deodorizer with no way to get fresh air. We got in late and went straight to bed. In the morning we opened the curtains and discovered our room was looking into another room!!! There must have been an addition put on the building and we looked straight into a meeting room, with no ability to look outside. Unacceptable. The musty smell lasted the whole stay and the carpets were dirty. The area of town was pretty run down with nothing walkable except the arena. Considering we paid more than similar hotels in the area that offered additional perks like free breakfast which this one did not, we were very disappointed.

There was a wrestling event on Saturday and many of the wrestlers an parents stayed at the hotel. The children were unsupervised and was everywhere. Disrupting other by banging on doors, running and screaming in the hallways. the staff was not able to do anything and went on for hours before deciding to contact the coaches! The parents were sitting at the bar and was not bothered by what their children were doing

It was all in all a good hotel to stay in for one night. I did notice mold growing near the air unit and windows and the wall paneling was peeling back. It was decently clean, but there was some hairs in the bathroom and urine around the base of the toilet. But we had a good time staying there and enjoying the NYE festivities nonetheless, and the staff were great. I'd stay here again.

Room was incredible. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Great view and food was excellent. I will definitely stay there again.

It was fine for what we needed: one night stay after a concert instead of driving home two hours late at night. Nothing fancy and the building is a little rundown, but the basics were covered. The "view" from our window was the ballroom, so we couldn't see outside. Small convenience store in the lobby was...convenient!

Convenient Hotel
This hotel is very close to the Amtrack Station and city parking making it very convenient when taking the train. There is unfortunately, very littel to do in downtown Utica.

The elevators were super slow and jumpy. Our toilet flushed so loudly and violently it was frightening. The tub dripped constantly. The area around the hotel is dodgy.

Positives: Comfortable bed, nice supply of towels Negatives: I was not given the room I booked. Instead, I was given a different kind of room. They claimed a third-party overbooked yet the reservation was confirmed. Curiously, I was not refunded any money for what was clearly a less desirable room. I also found that the "free breakfast" advertised on the site cost $15.95. The elevator was hopelessly slow. Having decided to take the stairs as an alternative, I found them isolated and potentially unsafe. The level of cleanliness was below that of most other hotels I have stayed at.
