Excellent house, with great location

Beautiful home in a great location. We have rented from Gene the last several years. He is always available and addresses any issues in the rare case there are any. Highly recommend any of his properties.

New years week with friends

Incredible house and property and the best host you’ll ever have. The house had everything you could possibly ask for, location was perfect with lovely restaurants right down the street and a short scenic drive from Whiteface mountain. Will definitely be coming back soon and making this trip a tradition.

Christmas vacation

We had an incredible time at this lovely home. It was clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. They even had a Christmas tree up for us to decorate, which was a pleasant surprise. Everyone had great things to say and I’d highly recommend for large groups.

Woods retreat!

The house had lots of space and room enough for our whole extended family. It could have been a tad cleaner and storage for suitcases was a bit of an issue with laundry in the master closet as well as a folding crib in the upstairs closet. Would pack extra towels and wash clothes in the future. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a wonderful week with family from near and far!!

Grand Ebs View Lodge

The lodge was the perfect place to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The location was private but easy to find and convenient to ski mountains and hikes. The lodge was clean, well equipped and there was plenty of space for the 12 of us. We loved the hot tub and sauna. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Stay

Every year I plan a small get away with my friends and this stay has by far been the best! The house is spacious and has amazing amenities. It is not far from Whiteface Mountain which is great. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect for a Large Family

PERFECT house for a large family. Grandparents, Parents, and Children of all ages were able to comfortably stay and enjoy the property. Great game room in the lower level, spacious rooms and all the staples you would hope a rental has in the kitchen, plus a crib, pack and play, games, etc. Property Manager was responsive and great, we hope to continue our tradition at their properties for years to come!!

Amazing birthday party location!!!

We had 3 birthday parties and I have a large family so this location was absolutely perfect for both the kids and adults! My family had an amazing time and Gene was always there to answer any questions we had throughout our 5 day stay! The interior design of the lodge provides privacy to everyone but also has a large kitchen and living room so everyone still feels connected and close. The kids loved the ping pong table and video game set up as well. Would definitely recommend this to other friends and fsmily members. Can't wait to book again. Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH GENE!!! :)

Amazing Property!!

We have a large family gathering every year, getting bigger every year. We fit perfectly with about 20 from 8 months to 75! We had a great time; this is an amazing well-kept property in a quiet location and close to Lake Placid. The owner is great to work with, they are very accommodating and attentive. We are already planning for next year with them!

Great property and host, impeccable service

We've been coming here for many years at this point, and the level of service just keep going higher. Each space now has its own heater/AC unit, and the house features electric car charger - a nice touch given rarity of these in the area. The five excellent hikes we did were all within 10-15 mins driving time to their bases, this location is so much better proximity-wise than staying in a hotel in the town of Lake Placid. As always, immediate responses from the host when had questions, and a late checkout was accommodated for.

Wedding weekend

We stayed with our friends and family for 3 days to celebrate our wedding which occurred on top of Ampersand Mountain. The lodge was beautiful, clean and everything we wished for. We got to enjoy the hot tub and sauna after our hike and spend the rest of the weekend cooking, eating and celebrating. We are so thankful we found this gorgeous place for our special weekend! Thank you!

College Hiking Reunion

Great location, very centrally located for a variety of hikes. Comfortably fit our group of 14 and we definitely could have fit more people without feeling cramped. We loved the firepit and sauna. Gene was very helpful!

Perfect for the Wedding Celebration!

Everything about the property fit our needs perfectly! The number of beds and bathrooms made it possible to have the family together without being all over each other. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook and serve the group comfortably. Most importantly, the beautiful location, space, layout, and amenities made it possible to host a lovely outdoor wedding celebration! The covered area on the deck was available as a back up plan if the weather did not cooperate. But it did! The house and the yard are well maintained, Gene was easy to communicate with, the cleaning crew does a good job, and everyone was impressed with the setting. Highly recommend and can't wait to stay there again... perhaps an annual family trip!

Great stay

This was a great house for our big group. Every family had their own bathroom which was incredibly helpful and it had good hangout space for all age groups. The directions in the contract are important to follow as Google maps brings you to the wrong location. The property is clean and well taken care of. We would stay there again!

Ebs is fantastic

We always choose Ebs when we come to the Adirondacks. I love sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning. The house is always clean and bright when we arrive , has a fantastically stocked kitchen, lots of towels in the bathrooms and wonderfully comfortable beds. Ebs offers a great time for all our family members (from 5 to 81 years). There is plenty of room for indoor games and outdoor activities. We can't wait to be back there next year!

Fantastic family fun!!

We, Grandma and Grandpa, gathered 11 of our children and grandchildren all at once, for the first time. We traveled by car & train, from Florida, two places in VA, and 4 places in NY. As each person entered the lodge, the comment was a variation of "wow!"

Ebs View Lodge

We had an excellent stay at Ebs View Lodge. The home was perfect for our family. It’s private, spacious, clean and the layout works perfectly for adult children and grandchildren. Each “family” had their own bathroom which worked out very well. The kids loved the bunk rooms. We were also impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was as we like to cook. We literally didn’t need anything except for food! The lot was ideal for children who enjoy being outside. Even in rain, the wrap around porch which is mostly covered, allowed for play time outside. Gene was also great to work with in planning. The video was helpful in that we knew that it had a long driveway to get to the home. The Adirondacks are spectacular and I would recommend for all ages who love the outdoors. I give Ebs View Lodge a five star rating without hesitation!

College Family Reunion

7 college friends and all our children came together again in one of Gene’s fantastic properties. This is a precious event to us all and everyone from age 5 to 45 had a wonderful time in a peaceful, clean and fun-filled environment. Gene was fantastic and his response time was amazing. Would recommend to anyone to stay in one of his properties!

LOVED Our Stay in this Beautiful Home!

We can't say enough great things about this beautiful home! We recently rented this property to host our elopement and it couldn't have been more perfect. Our families stayed with us (12 people total) and there was plenty of room for us all to stay comfortably. Everyone loved the house and the view! Gene was a super accommodating host and easy to work with. We are so happy we chose this location and shared the experience of staying here with those closest to us!
