On the VBRO website - this place looks great. It's just enough off the beaten path and yet close to all the great amenities that Union Pier has to offer. Beaches, restaurants, antique shopping etc. all within walking distance. not to forget the great communication with our hosts.
If you enjoy being challenged by your host and insinuating that your olfactory organs must be super sensitive and that their blatant efforts to disguise the smell of mold by burning glade candles prior to your check-in to mask the nasty smell of mold which will it work up until about 2am of the 1st night of your stay, this would be the place for you.If spending the rest of your stay in your car for own health safety after being told they would figure something else out sounds good then this is your place! Their standards of clean are questionnable and the presence of mold definitely does pose a health risk to the elderly, young children or potentially has any respiratory issues. When I pointed out where the mold was in my numerous emails to the owner I never received a response other than I was asked to not leave a negative review in exchange for. a discount or money off a next stay. I didn't accept "the in the exchange for.". Next time, we will be staying somewhere else that does not pose a threat to the safety of our health and I suggest you that you do so as well. While Greg and Leann are both very nice, they do not take the safety and health of their guests seriously enough to warrant staying.
