We fully enjoyed our stay at Gisela’s house! The pictures accurately reflected the property and perhaps the space was even nicer than conveyed in photos - light, bright decorated uniquely with creative thoughtfulness. The view from the deck is lovely! We would definitely go back!

Love

Gisela thought of every detail when creating this space. The loft was clean, well stocked, the shower was the best shower I’ve ever experienced, bed was really comfortable, deck was beautiful with a beautiful view, fire pit was cozy and the location was perfect- easy to get to Kingston,Rheinbeck, Woodstock etc.. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back.

A magical haven

This really is a gem. We had a magical stay in this beautiful space, which felt like a retreat. The setting is truly spectacular. The accommodation is so beautiful, cosy and comfortable. It is impossible to describe how much thought, care and love has gone into making it an unforgettable stay. Gisela is an incredibly gracious hostess and she went out of her way to make sure that we had the best time. We cannot recommend this highly enough and can’t wait to come back!!

Artsy, airy, and natural surroundings

The place lived up to the photos plus more. Gisela's fabric sculptures added an airiness to the already open space. Everything we needed to enjoy a restful stay was provided, including 3 choices of coffee makers (and a wide variety of teas), ample seating on the deck with a nice view, and a hammock. The surroundings were a nice surprise, with 2 friendly Arabian horses, a trail where our dog could run free leading to a second pond, impressive solar panels, and an enclosed riding arena with a ping-pong table. The downsides were a not-so-comfortable couch and a small dishwasher. But, we would definitely enjoy staying at this unique property again.

So spacious, inspiring, and amazing!

The house was so beautiful both inside and outside. It has a definite artist's touch and was very clean and well kept. It was surrounded by beautiful woods and was very close to New Paltz, Woodstock, and other great towns. The bed was comfy, temperature was well maintained, the kitchen was immaculate, it was all around amazing! We definitely will be back!

Beautiful place

We had a wonderful stay at the loft house. It was cozy inside and the grounds were wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck overlooking the pond. Our dog enjoyed frolicking in the woods. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Quiet getaway

Unique and tranquil artist’s loft with a lovely pond on the property! Gisela has 2 beautiful horses which were a pleasure to see. Loft was clean, comfortable and had all essentials. Kids enjoyed the views of the pond and paddling around too. Location was nice with nearby restaurants and attractions, including Vanderbilt Mansion.

Great Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the Loft, which is beautifully decorated and in a very relaxing environment. We loved meeting the horses and letting our dogs swim in the lake. Gisela was very accommodating and responsive!

This is where we fill our cup

My husband and I rented Gisela’s special artists loft almost seven years ago when we first started dating. We first rented it in the middle of winter and holed ourselves up in this haven. Years later as a birthday surprise to my husband, I took him back but this time we were able to enjoy the amazing deck and comfortable deck furniture. We cooked (kitchen is very well provisioned), read, napped, fed the horses grass, enjoyed the fire pit, painted (we brought our own paint), did yoga, meditated and bird watched. The energy of this amazing space is definitely a by product of the love that Gisela has poured into it. If you need your cup to be filled, don’t hesitate to book this amazing spot.

Couldn't have been nicer!

This accommodation is the epitome of healing, soothing, quiet. It is located in a natural residential setting with the added bonus of friendly horses on the property. So sweet. The place was spotless and filled with beautiful artwork--inspirational and healing. We made meals in a beautiful kitchen-- nothing missing here. Hooked our iPhones up to a high end speaker system and listened to our music. We had two restful nights in a very comfortable bed listening to the spring peepers. We couldn't have been happier here and will be returning in future.

Beautiful unique place

The perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Calming vibes and gorgeous scenery. I enjoyed my time. I stayed in late November and the studio was cozy and warm. Many little things for comfort and a good kitchen. Gisela was responsive and helpful.

Secluded. Restful. Beautiful...as advertised.

Perfect for personal reflection, natural surroundings, peaceful. Great little kitchen, fantastic amenities, outstanding music on hand. You don't have to be 'well heeled' to become 'well healed' in this secluded, sacred space. We slowed down, breathed it in, hiked and read, and rested.. to the choruses of frogs and crickets at night, and birds of sunny mornings. OUTSTANDING.

Lovely Studio

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay. The location is very peaceful if a bit "out of the way" so factor that in for visiting plans. Although ant traps were visible, the large black ants milling around the floors and even on the bed unpleasant. They were few in number but obvious and bothersome nonetheless.

Absolutely lovely

Everything about our stay was warm and welcoming: the home, the hosts, the land, the animals. Visiting this space was like staying in an artist's studio. We had a wonderful experience, and would love to return.

Great place

Great place! As advertised except checkout was earlier than posted online. Other than that, the place is perfect and exactly as described/pictured. Highly recommend going to find the Rail Trail Cafe.
