"This was our second stay at Fowlescombe Farm and it only reinforced our view that it is one of the most special places to stay in the UK.
This time we stayed in the Pond Suite, which was every bit as beautifully designed and comfortable as our previous accommodation, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. Being one of just three rooms within the Farmhouse, we particularly enjoyed having direct access to the spacious, well-equipped kitchen and the cosy lounge areas...

"Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"

"The setting for this hotel is as good as it gets, set on cliff tops overlooking a wonderful sandy beach below.
Staff were great, food excellent, strangely, catch of the day was well priced but steak and pork chop overpriced.
Our room was wonderful but lacked air-conditioning, was west facing and we were there in another 30 degree plus heatwave, but a fan sufficed.
Outdoor pool was excellent but weather so good we didn't get to the spa.
Simple to charge the EV , some roads are scary narrow but...

"Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. Thank you. "

"Das Hotel war zu früheren Zeiten ein sehr schönes Hotel, leider besteht ein riesiger Renovierungs- und Sanierungsstau. In den Zimmern gibt es keine Klimaanlage oder Kühlschränken. Von 4 Sternen ist man weit entfernt.
Der Service beim Frühstück ist auch nicht wirklich gut. Freundlichkeit ist nicht an der Tagesordnung, nur vereinzelt ist mal ein Lächeln zu verzeichnen. Auch ist viel Personal da, aber schmutziges Geschirr abräumen, leider Fehlanzeige.
Frühstück ist englisch, aber in Ordnung."
