Perfect beach house

We enjoyed a long weekend in this HUGE house. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the big porch and close beach access. The kitchen was great, but could use a few more basic items like a cutting board. Beds were comfortable. Be aware the shades in master bedroom are only semi-private.

Family wedding in Tybee

The accommodations for the seven of us were excellent.Just a couple of suggestions….we needed beach towels and you need to have more glassware in the kitchen and bar areas….we constantly ran out. Also, the coffee pot didn’t have a carafe and so we had to go back to the store and buy more coffee pods.

First Tybee trip

Property was just as the listing states. Plenty of room for our group, and the elevator was a great help for old knees. Really close to the beach and restaurants and shopping are close by. Would not hesitate to book again!

Lovely House Exceeded Our Expectations

Elevator made it convenient to get luggage to the second level with the bedrooms and my son thought it was neat! The gathering space was large enough that all eight of us could be together in the same room, yet we could be talking in separate groups. The table and chairs on the third level porch was used every morning and every night as we listened to the sound of the waves. The location was at most a fifteen minute walk from anything we wanted to see or do on the island. The host gave us terrific instructions for getting into the property several days before we even got there. We would not hesitate to look for this property again if we were making another trip to Tybee Island.

Birthday Getaway

The property was easily accessible, and large enough for my group of 4. We were thankful to not have a lot of damage from Hurricane Helene, but the lights were out for a little over 24 hours. Overall, it was a good stay.

A Family House

This house gave us all the space we needed, with room to get away from each other if we needed to! The overhead fans in the LR and master BR were great; some fans for other BRs would be nice. The elevator is great if you have folks who need it and for groceries and heavy luggage. And the walk to the beach was just so easy.

Tybee - eh....

We had previously come to Tybee for a 4 day stay in the spring and wanted to give it a shot during the summer. The property is a quick easy walk to the beach, with the road in front of the house serving as a public access as well. There was a sideways view of the ocean, but the primary view straight in front of the house was of a condominium community and it's 50(or so) decks. This is typical of most all of the roads that are perpendicular to the ocean and are public access points. I'm going to get straight to it. I don't particularly care for Tybee Island. It's old, holds a lot of people and you have to pay for parking everywhere. There's not a lot to do either. The beach is beautiful and that was nice...but it was so busy. The house was big and it was fine....but it appeared frozen in time from the late 80s or early 90s and the decor reminded me of a mcmansion from that time..... dark and "woody"...not a lot to make you feel like you were at the beach until you stepped outside. This was all in the pictures, so that's on me. I was glad to be away from work, but we won't be back to Tybee. Like I said, it was fine, just wasn't really the vacation home I was hoping for.

Great Property…needs TLC

I’d like to say it was a great experience however we did run into several issues while at this property. On day one we had no TV in family room due to cable box failure. Manager came quickly, box needed replacement. Dishes in cabinets were dirty so we decided to just wash them, we loaded dishwasher and found it was not working, so we hand washed all the dishes. After washing dishes, we found water all over family room floor from ice maker leaking. Dishwasher replaced the following day. Day three while doing laundry noticed water leaking from under the dryer and clothes wouldn’t dry. We contacted property manager complaint, their response was they weren’t unaware of the issues & previous renter had only good things to say, was offered dinner for our troubles but didn’t get anything. We did not have them fix the dryer because of our concern of someone walking into the house again without ringing doorbell. Twice someone entered the house and was startled by someone walking up stairs yelling hello. When complaint was made, we’re told “he knocked”. You cannot hear a knock when you’re three story’s up or in bed. We wish we had only good things to say about the property but after so many issues I cannot. Issues were address quickly and fixed, but we shouldn’t have so many at this price. Lower priced rental behind us we used for two days had zero issues. Wasn’t offered a discount, so I asked for one after dryer issue, didn’t get one. Would have been great without the problems.

Spacious and Convenient

Pros: easy beach access, elevator, large gathering space on top floor, favorite space - top deck large and sliver of ocean view, walkable, bikeable, great parking spaces and large garage, gas grill Cons: faces a large complex so you are looking at 50 balconies there was some noise 24/7 from these - that's the compromise for the above listed pros. The property is in need of a refresh and the main television is touch and go NOT a smart TV that you can watch a movie and log into accounts. Overall would recommend, especially to large families.

We absolutely loved staying at this location on Tybee!! The living area was very spacious. The elevator was a plus plus!!! We had a member of our group with mobility issues and it helped tremendously hauling luggage!!! The only negatives: we had a little difficulty watching movies. When we did get to our streaming service the volume was very poor and muffled. The wires were exposed making it a little unsightly. But overall it was a wonderful place to stay for our group!! We were celebrating our 60th bdays!
