Pros: location, location, location!! Walk 10 minutes to the beach, 20 mins. to Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion and 10 mins. to the IGA grocery store. Private pool was a plus for our grandchildren. Pool needed to be cleaned and they were very responsive to our request. Lots of kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses and cups. Screened-in porch a plus. Cons: The house is overall very presentable but needs a thorough deep clean. For the cost of the rental, all of the following can be easily fixed. Floors were dirty as evident from the bottom of our white socks. Living room furniture has many stains. Bathroom bath mats and carpets should be washed or replaced. Chewing gum stuck to the upstairs bedroom carpet. Mold in the grout of the showers and green mold on the outside of the downstairs bedroom windows. Pool furniture plastic webbing is brittle and broken. The coffee pot burner is very corroded; no espresso machine as listed. Lots of wine glasses; but no wine bottle opener. Provided a small bottle of dish soap and 4 dishwasher pods; not enough for 5 days. Front loading washing machine smelled and no laundry detergent provided. No coffee filters, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, or other typical disposable kitchen essentials provided. We have rented vac homes for less and they provided the items. Ice maker did not work because it was encased with frost. We didn’t call for these minor issues because they obviously were issues for a while and a lack of attention to details on cleanliness.
