Everything was exactly as expected except the fire pit seems stationary on the far back lawn instead of portable. Gas grill could use updating (left burner wouldnt light) and a good cleaning or new grate to cook food on. Overall great experience on our one night stay!

Winter trip

Some friends and I stayed here to hit the slopes. We went to loon and Brenton Woods, which are both close by had a great time. The hot tub was awesome after a day on the mountain.

Quaint and Convenient

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is older with lots of character. Well equipped and 10 minutes from Bretton Woods. Kids loved the hot tub.

Great little cabin in NH

Property was easy to access, super clean when we got there. Had plenty of beds and an equipped kitchen Grill, fire pit, and hot tub were all highlights for us! With plenty of space to hang out inside too

Perfect Location

The location was perfect. Ten minutes to Bretton Woods or Cannon and close enough to the Lincoln/Woodstock area. The house itself was a little dated, but otherwise no complaints. It is big enough for 4 adults and 5 kids to stay comfortably.

Spooky but very nice

Second time staying here and it is very nice and perfect for ski trips! House gets very quiet at night and creaks a bit so kind of spooky. Hot tub is great although one of our guests may have gotten hottub rash so the chlorine levels might need to be checked.

Awesome House

Very clean, very nice, well maintained. Renters are nice and very responsive. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Hot tub gets HOTT!!!!

Cozy house near Bretton Woods Ski area

This was the perfect house for a big group trip to bretton woods. Has all you need: Skiing is only 10 minutes drive away. A grill and a hot tub right outside. Ample parking out front. House was pretty well stocked with towels, blankets, dish/laundry detergent. Coffee is BYO. It does get cold at night (we came in Feb) so bring some extra warm blankets if you get cold easily. We would definitely stay here again!

White mountain rental

Very rustic rental. Only one working TV and two air conditioners for the entire house. Bedrooms were uncomfortably hot. Thankfully we spent most of the day out of the house. Picture of rental are very deceiving.

Misleading

We were so excited to bring our baby girl and pup on their first trip to the mountains however, expectations were not met. The pictures show a beautiful grilling area with a large yard and flower garden. We booked mainly for those reasons however, the grill was basically falling apart and unusable. We pre-marinated 2 nights of food to grill and weren't able to use any of it. Turned the grill on and it went up in flames. Grates were rusty and there was a pot underneath to catch the grease drippings. No outdoor fridge or working outdoor faucet. The flower garden was super overgrown (it was more of a weed garden). The house itself was fine. What you expect for something that old. Creaky floors, doors and drawers that are hard to open and close. The water in the shower in the master bathroom never got hot and not nearly enough towels for a place that says it can sleep 10 people. There were only 3 air conditioners for the whole house which left 2 of the upstairs bedrooms unable to be used as it was July and understandably, very hot out. The place could have also used a better cleaning prior to checking in. We noticed mouse droppings in the cabinets and dust and cobwebs in all corners of the house. No extra paper towels were provided so thankfully there was a shop nearby for us to get some. Also, we had to make sure all towels and dishes were washed and dried before 10am checkout. Overall disappointed.

Disappointed

Expectations rise to what has been shown possible. What "sold" me on this property was the outdoor spaces shown on the listing, beautiful grilling area, hot tub and flower gardens. I had visuals of grilling out and enjoying the surroundings with my family. Unfortunately, time and neglect have taken its toll and what was once pristine leaves a lot to be desired. The grill area was nothing like what was pictured. The grill was disgustingly dirty. There is no longer a refrigerator; and the sink is useless as there is no running water. The flower gardens are overgrown with weeds. We didn't use the hot tub, so I can't comment other than to say the cover was shabby. A portion of the framing around the french door to the deck area from the dining room has rotted and a pretty mushroom growth now adorns the surface. The inside of the house is what one would expect from a house that was built in 1872; uneven and creaky floors, chipped paint, kitchen drawers that don't open and close properly with a tug here and a tug there. However, inside some of the cabinetry really needs a good cleaning, as do the window sills in the house and corners of the rooms, and ceiling fans to name a few. The positives of this propery are plenty of room for guests to spread out. The washer and dryer are fairly new and attractive. Appliances are newer than what is shown on VRBO and we had no issues with the internet. The property needs a ton of TLC and I was so disappointed.
