Simply amazing
Can’t express enough how perfect this cabin is. Best location, has everything you need, and Walter is the best guy ever! We were in town for the Leadville 100 and it was the perfect place to have for the 8+ hrs the crew spent in town for the out and back section. And the movie library!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Perfect winter getaway!
My husband and I were looking for a cabin with a fireplace or wood burning stove off the beaten winter path and we found it here. We’ve camped at Twin Lakes for years, but never been in winter. We loved hiking the gorgeous lower Mt. Elbert trail & didn’t need snowshoes as we thought we might since it was packed snow. It was perfect to then return to our cute, comfy & cozy log cabin. Although small, it had all we needed and the 2 comfortable recliners were awesome!!! And the DVD player & movies provided night time relaxation. Will definitely visit this cabin again!

Cozy cabin

Cozy cabin with breathtaking views
Quaint little cabin with lots of opportunities to unplug. Hubby and I enjoyed the feeling of leaving the busyness of the city while still knowing people are close by. Twin Lakes has trails and plenty of places to fish. The owners of the general store were super friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again. Maybe we’ll try the summer next time.

Just as described!
This cabin was a good value for the location and price. We loved that it is located right in Twin Lakes with easy walking distance to the general store, food trucks, and visitor center. The property is just as described in the listing and the owners were very responsive. The cabin had all the essentials and some extras. The area is somewhat of a wetland, so the mosquitoes and flies were quite numerous during our stay. We were not able to open the door or windows because there are no screens, so it does get a little stuffy inside in the summer. Thanks Walter and Jessica!

Wonderful cabin in Twin Lakes
This historic cabin has been renovated beautifully! We have stayed at a lot of places, and have never seen a place with this much attention to detail. Everything is nice quality, from the appliances in the kitchen (no garage-sale shopping to stock this kitchen!) to the wonderful details in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, the recliner chairs were nice to have for relaxing, black-out curtains if you want a little extra sleep time. . Walter and Jessica were great hosts. We will certainly be coming back!

Historic Cabin Getaway
Set in the small town of Twin Lakes, this historic cabin was cozy and comfortable. It includes all you need for a wonderful getaway. The hosts were gracious and informative. We would absolutely book again.

Perfect! Cozy honeymoon!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We were visiting from Alaska and found it to be exactly what we were wanting. It was so cozy to watch the fire every square foot of the cabin. We didn’t cook much so I can’t speak as far as kitchen goods but silverware fridge and oven and microwave all worked wonderfully! William and Jessica were great! Extremely fast service and answers to all our questions. We were wanting to be off the beaten path and the location was satisfactory. As the drive to Leadville was less than 20 min away if we wanted to get food or go shopping. Cooper mtn for snowboarding was relatively close also. The gas station by the cabin heads up didn’t seem to work. The drive from the cabin up towards Aspen is beautiful! Elk all over so be cautious while driving. We arrived our first night around midnight in a small Blizzard and elk were on the road. The bathroom is so cute! The only thing we noticed was it can tend to smell up a tiny bit for whatever reason. Not sure if the fan made it worse or not. But with the door closed it was fine. Plenty of hot water and the tap water was delicious! No problems with cell reception, and TONS of DVDs drawers full lol! We would definitely stay here again as it was perfect for us.

Perfect cabin
The cabin was so cozy and in a great location. We were able to go the the mt. Princeton bath houses and great sand dunes national park from our cabin. The cabin itself was great. It had everything we needed and felt like home. We would definitely come back and recommend this cabin to friends and family

Hidden Gem
This little Miner's Cabin is everythinig as advertised. The hosts, Walter and Jessica are very accommodating, and the value is one of the best around. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and this is our favorite. Highlights for us are the solitude, quiet, wilderness at the doorstep, wood stove, and dog friendly! Thank you Walter once again for sharing your mountain cabin.

Our stay was as wonderful as the first time. We love the laid back charm of Twin Lakes! The natural beauty of the mountains takes my breath away. Escape from reality to rebalance this is the place to go. Walter is an excellent host!! See ya next year!

If your notion of a vacation rental is a Hilton, this artistically finished and modernized miner’s cabin wouldn’t do. It was a great place to relax after hiking and reflect on a very different time in the West. Next time we will stay longer.

Cozy and Relaxing Cabin
My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful time enjoying the beauty of Twin Lakes, Leadville and Buena Vista. . The cabin is a short walking distance from the lakes and the town’s stores and restaurants. The cabin had all of the necessities that we needed, and our hosts, Walter and Jessica were so friendly and responsive to any questions or needs that we had. Great value for a VRBO rental. I highly recommend this cabin.

Cute, quiet and cozy!
Cutest little cabin. I thought it was a little more secluded but loved the area none the less. Very quiet. The small town was very cute and close the Leadville. Covid had its restrictions but still lots to see and do. I highly recommend going to Quincys steak house in Leadville. Good food, price and atmosphere. Would definitely come back to this Cabin! We would love to see it in Summer or Fall. Perfect for a solo trip or with your spouse. Highly recommend! Book now!

Cozy cabin
Our stay in this little cabin was perfect. We had everything we needed and any food items we forgot were an easy (and beautiful I might add) drive away. The stove kept us warm and the owners left plenty of firewood. The setting was beautiful. I wanted to be "in the mountains" and that's exactly where we were. Thanks to our hosts for checking on us from time to time and for providing such a diverse DVD selection. We highly recommend visiting this cabin, especially if you're looking for a romantic getaway for two..

Perfect solo getaway!
So lucky I found this gem, just perfect for a solo trip to get away from everything and have some peace and quiet. Already can't wait to plan my next trip! Everything was clean and comfortable, and I was constantly torn on whether to stay inside and enjoy the coziness or get outside. Ultimately I found time for plenty of both...did some running and snowshoeing down the road at Willis Gulch, which I definitely recommend. Walter was extremely communicative when I had a question about check-in and also messaged me during the stay to make sure everything was okay. Did want to mention I noticed one of the wine glasses was cracked and the wine opener is broken...wasn't anything that caused me any problems but I'm sure someone will need them eventually.

Incredible mountain getaway.
Walter and Jessica’s cabin is unforgettable! The location feels very secluded and the view of the mountains is unbeatable. The cabin is the perfect size and has all the necessities you could need. We booked this cabin based on the low price and it ended up being the best decision ever. Walter was an amazing host. He called us our second day there and took time out of his day to tell us about local hiking and mountain biking spots. We hiked the North Fork lake creek trail as he recommended and we were sure glad we did. The hike has incredible scenery the whole. We will 100% be back!!!

Book One More Day Than You Need
This little cabin makes you feel right at home nestled into the base of the mountains. Quiet, clean, and cozy find with plenty of great movies to watch, a comfortable patio for hanging out, and anything you would need after a few days of travel. Walter was a great host and the cabin will make you want to stay at least one night more than you booked it for. Plan accordingly, and enjoy.

Very relaxing getaway
We had such a great time at this historic cabin. Although we initially thought we would be spending time swimming in the lake, we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was so much more to explore since the lake was pretty cold. Walter was a wonderful host, showing us to the nearby beaver ponds and recommending lakes and excursions. We felt right at home. Our 5-year old loved being near the water and being so close to nature. Thank you so much!
