This place was truly exceptional. A definite 10/10. The home is beautifully appointed, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The beds were unbelievably comfortable (honestly some of the best sleep we’ve had), and the entire property felt private, peaceful, and nothing short of magical.The host struck the perfect balance with communication, both responsive and helpful without ever feeling intrusive. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay.This will absolutely be our go-to spot anytime we visit Joshua Tree. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We camped a few nights in Joshua Tree, then stayed a few nights here and treated it as a home base for exploring the region. It was super easy to find and get in. It was clean, cozy, and cute. It was well-stocked — coffee, kitchen implements, coffee paraphernalia, fresh towels, shampoo, soap, etc. Perfect for resetting and removing that stinky, camping goodness. While there, we took advantage of the grill, fire pit, hot tub, and really enjoyed the remoteness and how quiet it was. The hosts were also extremely transparent, helpful, and very quick to respond to any questions.

Just a few hours from LA, and the city falls away — traded for quiet skies, golden light, and the slow exhale of the desert.I arrived with my mind full of city noise and left with nothing but space to breathe.The desert opens up here — vast skies shifting from deep blue to molten gold, the kind of quiet that grounds you without asking.Upon arrival, a chilled bottle of bubbles waits patiently, and the house welcomes you with bright, minimalist colors — nothing too much, nothing too little — just enough to let peace settle in.Evenings begin in the hot tub beneath the cool night air, stars stretching endlessly overhead. When the temperature dips and the hot tub has worked its magic, you drift to the fireplace — the glow wrapping you in warmth as the night deepens, a cozy story told in flicker and flame, the sweet scent of s’mores melting into the air.Days are perfectly tempered by the crisp, refreshing AC indoors. Out here, there is no rush — only the soft permission to be. And as the sun dips, the desert night joins your table like an old friend.This is more than a rental; it is a sanctuary to rest. I’m already looking forward to returning.

Can’t wait to go back

Living in CA in this economy we share our home with our 4 adult children and grandbaby and let me say this was a much needed get away. It was secluded, quiet and beautiful. Exactly what this overworked and overstimulated gen x couple needed. We drove through Joshua Tree national park during the day and enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi at night. 10/10 and can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful stay!

We spent an amazing 4 days and 3 nights at the house near Joshua Tree. Clean, comfortable and inviting. Owners responded quickly with any questions we had. Beautiful area to watch the stars at night and about 30 minutes or so to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. All the amenities were there as advertised.

Perfect Desert Escape

Was looking for a place that was super remote but with all of the comforts of home. This place hit just right. Check in process was easy, everything we could need was available (robes were super cozy and perfect to put on after a soak in the spa). Visited the area for a long weekend escape for my husbands birthday and enjoyed every second. Woke up to an amazing sunrise on both mornings. Wish I could have stayed more than 2 days, but I will be back. Thank you!!

As i was driving into this beautiful home I felt like i had made a mistake, but wow was i so wrong! My friends & i were welcomed by this beautiful, peaceful, welcoming home. Fantastic stay

Nestled in a secluded corner of the Joshua Tree desert, this enchanting home embraced us with warmth and tranquility from the moment we arrived. The property boasts a stunning cactus garden that perfectly complements the serene desert landscape. During the day, we cooled off in the refreshing pool, and as the sun set, the hot tub provided a cozy retreat under the starry sky. The interior of the house is bright, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated with unique, stylish touches. Every detail has been considered, and the home is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. Despite the remote location, a large grocery store is conveniently just 20 minutes away. Our stay here was nothing short of magical—both rejuvenating for the body and soothing for the soul. The stargazing experience was truly extraordinary, and we were able to capture breathtaking photos of the Milky Way. We can’t recommend this oasis enough and can’t wait to return.

Joshua tree get away.

This vacation rental in Joshua Tree was fantastic! It offered plenty of activities and was perfectly located near the park. The check-in process was seamless, and the sunset views were breathtaking. The hot tub and pool were perfect for the weather during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great Escape in the Desert

It was wonderful to escape the rush of daily life in this peaceful, quiet, and lovely VRBO. All you could see were the mountains in the distance and all you could hear were the sound of birds. Our batteries were recharged. Kathryn and Jon were lovely hosts and answered all our questions quickly. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Joshua Tree next.

Joshua Tree Getaway

We really enjoyed the serenity of our stay as we lounged in chairs watching the sunset and soaked in the hot tub under the stars. The house was clean and comfortable and was a wonderful place to unwind after long days of hiking in JTNP and sight seeing the unique art exhibits within minutes of this lovely home. We were able to take a short day trip out to Ladder Canyon, the Salton Sea Rec Area, Bombay Beach, and Salvation Mountain. We'd love to return here again in the future and continue exploring all that this beautiful desert area has to offer!
