Magical Red Box Cottage
We had a wonderful stay at beautiful, magical Red Box Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The highlight was the deck over the water. We spent many happy hours there catching up and taking in the stunning views (including sparkling sunsets) and the tranquillity. We also went kayaking on the lake. It was a very special weekend. Natalie was also very kind and understanding when we had a change to our plans. I highly recommend Red Box Cottage, especially for its location both over the lake and right next to a delicious Thai restaurant and The Boatshed Cafe! We can’t wait to return!

Fishing Week
Had a great family week away. Access down the front stairs was the only down side. On entry a hand rail on the left would make it easier when carrying luggage given the right rail is behind the open entry door. The added bonus of the grandsons being able to fish from the deck was brilliant.

Great location. But parking can be hard when you have a large boat trailer, when it is busy. But all in all. Very good.

Beautiful location and fantastic property!
My Family and I have been going to Red Box Cottage for many years. The Owners have made numerous renovations and additions that are stylish and practical to ensure a wonderful holiday. The property is always spotless and beautifully presented. We spend most of our time out on the back deck enjoying the water and enjoying the fishing. There is a great restaurant and cafe right next door. We always love coming back!

Very relaxing
Property is very quirky, in a good way. Being able to sit on verandah and relax while enjoying the view over the water was great. Location is excellent with excellent walks and food available on doorstep. Bottle of wine and chocolates were much appreciated. Thank you

Fabulous views and comfy house.
Three couples and we had a great stay. Outdoor, over water verandah is lovely. House really well-equipped. Restaurant next door great as is the cafe next to that. Pub runs a courtesy bus and is a fun night. Loved it and all ready booked for next year.

Beautiful outlook
The location is right on the water and was so beautiful looking out over to an island. Having a cuppa in the morning looking at the water was so relaxing. The cafe next door was really convenient. The house is definitely quirky with stairs in odd places, but it has everything you could need even a table on the deck to clean fish. It was a delight to just roll out of bed and put a line in the water. Tuross Heads is a sleepy village and well situated to visit Moruya and Batemans Bay as well. A really well set up property and a very enjoyable stay.

Absolute Bliss
Exceeded our expectations. Such a divine place to relax, explore. Loved looking out to the different views of the lake throughout the day and settling in for sunset on the deck! Well equipped and comfortable. We will be back!

Must Do
Fantastic accomodation and location - second time for us and there will be more! My wife and I took our 2 minature schnauzers and between the beach walks, chilling on the balcony at home or eating at the Thai next door it is unreal. Highly recommend.

Excellent Location to Chill Out
The location with the back deck on the water made it a very relaxing weekend to just chill out. The weather was perfect which made it even better to sit in the sun on the back deck and then watching the sunsets was beautiful. To be able to walk into the restaurant for dinner and the Fish and Chip Cafe next door for lunch was fantastic too.

A unique and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. Wake up to bird chatter and fish waiting to be caught from the back deck. Excellent cafe and restaurant next door. Just wonderful.

Stay by the lake with the dog
The property overall was clean and well presented. I wasn't aware there were quite a few steps. This would have been good info to have before since my dog has a few issues with steps. Overall a very enjoyable stay, very relaxing.

Hi Helen Sorry to hear that you were not completely happy with your stay but I would just like to let you know that we do point out in our properties description that our property is not for anyone with poor mobility because there are a lot of stairs so maybe read all information about a property before booking next time as that is why we have mentioned that. A long weekend with family
The property was as displayed, plenty of space and everything you need. A great location directly on the lake. We all enjoyed fishing off the deck and relaxing watching the water ☺ boating with your own jetty is a bonus, very convenient to be able to just tie up there. We hope to come back again next year!

Fantastic Holiday Choice
Loved our time in Red Box Cottage. Highly recommend. From the book in to arrival and a wonderful bottle of bubbly and chocolates on the kitchen bench just set the mood for the week. Great Thai next door and the cafe a further door up settled lunch for us. We had 2 small dogs (schnauzers) who were fascinated by the crabs on the deck over the river and kept them amused for hours. Took paddle boards and just dropped them in from the deck. Great location for dog walks too. We’ll definitely be back!

Quiet and relaxing
Perched right on the water we had a comfortable and relaxing few days exploring on foot and car Tuross heads and surrounds. Great walks for dog. Good coffee and breakfast next door. Being Winter opening times for places unpredictable. But we had everything we needed to ensure we could enjoy the view from the deck or from within and enjoy our drinks and food. Our dog was very comfortable as well

Perfect location.
Quaint accommodation right on the water and next door to a lovely restaurant with a cafe/coffee bar 2 doors away. The deck was literally over the water so we could fish while we drank wine and ate. The accommodation was perfect for us and our dogs were very happy once they mastered the stairs. By all accounts we were lucky to score this place to stay and we must say we feel we were extremely lucky. Many thanks.

Welcome Mini Break
The chance to take grandson on first school hols vacation + meet up with friends took us to Red Box Cottage at Tuross. Despite the rain, the location of the cottage allowed quality dining options (Pickled Octopus thai & Boatshed Seafood Cafe next door) and wonderful beach walking + all the amenities of the Cottage for movies, leisurely breakfasts, arvo teas, drinks & chats snatched on deck between storms.

Great little property for the two of us plus dog. The weather was dreadful but we had a great time. Red Box is so close to cafe , restaurant, beaches, and you are over the lake (we caught fish from the balcony and launched the kayak off the deck). Would love to return when all this rain finishes
