The host and housekeeper were wonderful. The villa is spacious and lovely. The Soliman bay is a great place to recreate. Unfortunately the seaweed prevented us from enjoying the beachfront outside the villa. The host was very accomodating regarding our check out time.

Excellent Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Casa Tortuga! Perfect location and space for our 10 guests ranging from ages 15-45. Samuel and Marisola are angels from heaven that made our stay very memorable and special!! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and had great family connection time. Every meal was delicious and the housekeeping made it a very relaxing trip!There are many nearby Cenotes and ruins that are worth visiting.We will definitely come back but not in sargasso season!

Wish we could of spent another week there!

Everything was as described. The breeze off the water was wonderful and kept us cool despite it being over 30 degrees! Samuel and Marisella are amazing. They made us supper on our last night there, it was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip! There was a bunch of seaweed in front of the property but that's nature. There was easy access to sandy beaches and calm waters with a short walk down the beach. My nieces enjoyed the pool and the kayak. With a vehicle the location is close enough to tulum yet away from the tourist traps. Great place if you're looking to get away and unwind from life's hustle and bustle!

Heavenly Stay

Our stay well exceeded my expectations! My family (2 adults and 7 year old) and another (2 adults and 2 kids under 10) fully enjoyed our stay. The accomodations were comfortable and everyone had plenty of room. Samuel and Marisela started every morning off with hot coffee and delicious breakfast. Both were comfortable and professional. The pool was perfect. The bay was wonderful, we went on many kayaking adventures all while feeling very safe in the shallow, clear water.i dream about going back!

Priceless Family Vacay!

Casa Tortuga exceeded our expectations in every way! We spent a week in this fabulous location and none of us were ready to leave. The breeze from the ocean made the temperature a non-factor in the pleasantness of everyday. The pool was a welcome retreat from the heat on the few days we did venture out to explore. Samuel and Marisela met all of our needs on the property from local info to delicious meals and margaritas! With 6 adults, the king beds were essential and the layout of the house gave everyone enough space to relax. The porches and outdoor dining area were perfect for games and conversation. The kayaks and paddle boards were an added bonus that we enjoyed throughout the week. We highly recommend Casa Tortuga for your next gathering.

Relaxing in Paradise

We had a great stay. Cheryl was very communicative and very easy to deal with. This house sits right on the bay and is just stunning to wake up to the sunrise every day. The rooms all have cold AC and the showers were always hot. It is truly amazing when you first roll into the private gates and just take the view in. Samuel takes care of the property and any requests or needs you may have. He speaks good English too and is great to work with. Maricela kept our place tidies up every single day. It was nice to come home to a clean home after being out adventuring around. We had Samuel and Maricela prepare multiple breakfast and dinner meals for us as it just made life easier. There are a few good restaurants nearby, but having an infant child who already had a long day --- it was nice to just sit back and have dinner already made for us. GREAT HOSTS - GREAT LOCATION -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE!!

Second visit to Soliman Bay

Casa Tortuga is a gem in Soliman Bay, my family and I loved the location and property. Samuel and Maricela were not only meticulous in the keeping of the property but also in the preparation of meals, they were wonderful to us, accommodating to every member of the party and truly made us feel as if we were home. After a rocky arrival to Cancun the respite that Casa Tortuga and more over Samuel and Maricela provided was above and beyond, and already has us discussing our next trip back.

A perfect week !

From booking to leaving everything went super smooth. Cheryl was super responsive and helpful in helping getting there and making sure everything was ready for the whole group. Samuel and marisela made everyone feel like they were living a dream taking care of everything on site from cleaning the house every morning to doing laundry and preparing dinner and drinks for the evenings. The location is amazing being so close to tulum for evening adventures to everything else around making great day excursions and even right at home the beach offers adventures with the kayaks and snorkel opportunities around the bay. Overall a perfect week for everyone. Easy to balance relaxing with adventures and excitment. Thank you Cheryl, Samuel and Marisela !

Fantastic House!

We absolutely loved Casa Tortuga! The house was large and easily fit 10 of us with more than enough space. Samuel is a fantastic cook and was extremely helpful with setting up shuttles for us to take to different areas of Tulum. Right on the water and can't beat the turquoise water views! Plenty of outdoor seating and lounge areas for everyone to enjoy their time.

Lovely getaway in paradise

Our stay at Casa Tortuga was fantastic. We were 6 adults ranging from early 30s to mid 70s and 3 children ages 3, 3, and 6. We rented a car for some of our group, and I do recommend that if you'd like to explore some of the nearby area (we did the Casa Tortuga cenotes). The place is within a protected beach-front community on Soliman Bay, and a guard is in place to open the gate for you as you arrive and when you need to leave. We all felt very safe there. The Bay is beautiful, we kayaked out into the Bay each day and spent time snorkeling in some of the deeper water. We spent most of our time on the hammocks on the beach or relaxing by the pool or in the outdoor furniture on the deck. Each bedroom has it's own A/C which worked perfectly for our entire stay. I'm not sure what to say about Samuel and Marisela, they were the difference makers. Samuel was available to help if anything went wrong and his food and drinks are amazing. We did about 2 meals per day on average and a few margaritas. Marisela cleaned, did laundry for us, and served as sous chef. We all wanted to take them home with us.Only minor cons-beach is a bit rocky, sand on the property wasn't as good for play by the kids as I had hoped from the pics (it's just a thin layer on solid ground), they could provide some additional child safety to the stair railing-our daughter fell a few feet through the opening and had a couple scrapes. All said, it was amazing and we want to come back, or buy the place and stay!

Everything was perfect!

We spent 6 wonderful days at Casa Tortuga with extended family as we were there for my daughter's wedding. The accommodations were perfect for our large group giving everyone space to relax and come together for the fantastic meals prepared by Samuel and Marisela in the outdoor kitchen area, which was a definite highlight. We had Samuel stock the kitchen for us before we arrived and most of our dinners there which was so convenient for our large group and they are 5 star restaurant quality. Loved his happy hour margaritas too! The place is clean, well stocked with what you need and if you can't find it or don't have something Samuel is a great resource. The beach was in front was clean and we even had some green turtles hatch from a nest right in front of villa while we were there. Marisela keeps the place spotless. We felt safe always and appreciate the extra security on this Bay. Everyone in our group raved about the place! I highly recommend Casa Tortuga for a large group, it is perfect!

Beautiful and well kept.

Our stay was great. We hired the chef for most of our meals and he did a great job. We had 2 with severe allergies and 5 with celiac and needed a gluten free diet. He accommodates incredibly well for all our needs. The only negative thing was the seaweed and the horrible smell that accompanied it. We were told about it, but didn’t realize how extensive it would be. Even with people clearing the beach daily it was still too much to clean up. And the stench of it was sickening at times. But none of this was the owner or managers problem, it was just Cancun in August. It is something to think about before going.

Vacation of our dreams

Look no further than Casa Tortuga for your next vacation! This amazing house HAD IT ALL!!! Amazing beachfront views, pool, shaded sandy yard, kayaks, paddle boards, sand toys, lots of space, and cool A/C rooms! Our group of 9 Adults and 3 kids had the most amazing time! The house and amenities were exactly as expected but what took our vacation to the next level was Samuel And Marisela!! These two went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time! Samuel was so kind and helpful. He helped set up taxi service to the ruins and cenotes as well as a quick trip to downtown Tulum and also set us up with massages on the property! But if that wasn't enough he is also the most amazing CHEF!! The food was one of the highlights for everyone! Before our trip we talked about going out to eat and we planned for cooking some meals on our own but after our first dinner we realized we only wanted our meals made by Samuel! Everything he made us was exceptional! I could on and on about how amazing our stay was and how much we did not want to come home! We felt safe the entire time and Cheryl was very responsive as well! The only "downside" was the sargasso(which we were expecting prior to our trip). It was pretty heavy while we were there so we were unable to access the water from the beach right outside the house but just a short walk down the beach we could find access. The guys worked hard daily to clean the sargasso and we never had an issue with it smelling or causing any problems.

Wonderful Spot

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Tortuga. Samuel and Marisela are wonderful hosts, and kept the house very clean and made wonderful meals. Our group included adults and young children, and everyone had fun with kayaks to get onto the water for swimming and snorkeling, toys to play in the sand, and pool floats and toys for enjoying the pool. Beds/bedrooms were comfortable for sleeping and the air conditioning worked well during the nights. We made use of the upstairs kitchen a handful of times, and found it well stocked with what we needed for cooking. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would absolutely stay again if returning to the area in the future!

Fantastic Vacation Home!

The house is everything described and more! Looks great in person and certainly well kept. We appreciated that there was ample drinking water and AC for each room, comfy beds, and reliable wifi. We found that the kitchen had everything we needed to make full meals and loved that there were several places to eat/drink both indoor and outdoor. We also had Samuel stock the fridge which was very helpful and save a trip to the grocery store although there is also a grocery delivery service in the area. Samuel and Marisela made a wonderful meal one night, kept the property looking great, and were always helpful when needed. It's a quick walk to nearby Pandano restaurant and bar and a 10-15 minute taxi ride to town. You essentially have your own private beach to enjoy as well as the pool and all the lounge chairs on the property. We loved taking the kayaks and paddleboards out one day and there seemed to be plenty of beach items and sand toys for families considering the property. Even as a small group of young women we felt safe the entire time because there is always security at the gate at the entrance to the street where the home is located. Cheryl was quick to respond to any communication and made the whole process simple and enjoyable. Already dreaming about our next trip and would definitely stay at Casa Tortuga again.

Perfect Christmas

Everything was wonderful from the house, location and amazing staff. We had 11 family members and we all had an awesome time. Samual’s dinners were so delicious we wanted to bring him home with us!
