  • Lost Creek Retreat - A spacious secluded 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath home in the woods with access to Tims Ford Lake. We have hi speed internet with streaming. We offer the use of our private dock and a place to dock your personal boat on the side, not undercover though. Our cove is a mile long with very calm waters. To get to main lake body, you have to go thru a 9'6" wide causeway. The height is a problem for boats with towers, unless they are retractable. If there are any questions about this, please contact me. The home is a perfect romantic getaway or a great place to gather with friends and family. 20 mi from Shelbyville, Walking Horse Celebration. 3 miles from downtown Lynchburg where so much history is to be explored. Visiting Jack Daniels Distillery is a must. We also have George Dickle and Prichards Distillery close by. Bear Trace Golf Course, Tims Ford State Park is 8 miles away. Since Tims Ford Lake is controlled by TVA, we loose our water around the dock in the wintertime. November to March.

    Our basic set rate is set for 2 guest. Anything over 2 guest is $20 a night per person x length of reservation.

Lake Retreat

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this property. It is the perfect place to stay if your wanting to visit the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

Great vacation on Tims Ford

We had a wonderful trip. You have your own little private cove on the lake with all you need to enjoy time out on the water. Ginger was a gracious host and we definitely plan to come back.

We loved it. The kids enjoyed it too. They wanted to stay another night. I loved the way the cabin looked. It was beautiful. It had everything we needed. The Jacuzzi was nice, also. We all loved it. We gave it our best stay. They went kayaking, they played in the lake and went fishing. We will definitely go back.

Absolutely amazing weekend!

This was a great long weekend get away before school was back in. We all had fun, got to relax, and really just enjoy being outside and each other. We plan on going again next summer.

Fantastic Stay

Ginger was so nice and chill. She came by to show us where everything was. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, and the hot tub was great. We didn’t make it down to the lake while we were there but the view was great! 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful!

It is a beautiful place in the woods on Tim's Ford Lake. The host is wonderful. We enjoyed the dock, boats, and fishing, and the grandkids loved the water slide and water toys! It's a great place to enjoy a relaxing weekend! I recommend it for any time of the year! We couldn't ask for more pleasant hosts who really work to make the stay enjoyable!

Perfect Stay

We had an amazing time and cant wait to return soon!! Great location and we had so much fun. There is so much to do at the lake and lots of board games that we played at night. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room! The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked for every meal during our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Total Relaxation

This was a hidden gem! The house is tucked away in nature. Went for the week with my adult sons who loved the fishing & kayaking on the property and of course Jack Daniel’s Distillery which was 10 minutes away.

I like others was hesitant about the house not “being on the water” but let me say…. It sure was nice to be able to pull the boat onto the bank and load it instead of climbing 100 steps to get to the water with towels, supplies and coolers. The house is laid out perfectly especially when you have teen kids you can put in the downstairs area. Ginger is an awesome host that I looked forward to seeing and visiting with. We would definitely stay here again!

Getaway

Second time staying here, Great location and even better host!

My husband and I first stayed at Ginger's place 10 years ago and recently decided to extend our visit in the area by booking a few more days before heading back home. Ginger is, without a doubt, the best host we've ever rented from. She is incredibly hospitable and kind. Our 9-year-old absolutely loved the slide on the dock into the lake, and we had the delightful company of Daisy, the dog, who swam alongside us as we kayaked. It was such a joy, and we can't wait to return. Thank you so much for hosting us, Ginger!

Unique Retreat

We loved our stay at Lost Creek Retreat! The pictures do not do it justice; this place is absolutely gorgeous! The location is stunning and the amenities kept us entertained. The owners are accessable and welcoming but not overbearing. The shelves and cupboards are well stocked to anticipate your every need. Some of us did have issues with cell reception but the WiFi worked great. Plus the purpose of going to a lake retreat is to disconnect anyway. My only regret is that we didn't have a longer stay.
