Weekend at Sewanee

Loved our stay here. Quick access to Sewanee and a beautiful, serene setting made for a fun weekend. Our favorite hangout spot was definitely the Game Room in the garage!

Loved it!

Everything was set up perfectly and the owners were very responsive from booking till checkout. No issues during our stay at all, we would definitely stay there again.

Great Little Getaway

We enjoyed this little mountainside getaway. Great location for hiking and the Caverns with a private property to relax and unwind. The hot tub was a must after the long hikes! The kids enjoyed the game room and lots of space to play and run around.

Beautiful and secluded

We had the most amazing time. We were looking for something secluded and modern with beautiful views and this place exceeded our expectations! We planned on coming to the area to elope and once we saw how beautiful the property was we asked if we could get married there. We highly recommend this property for your stay, we will for sure be back!

Our Go To for Couples Retreat

Perfect for some secluded time away from our busy life! Time to slow down and relax or hit the gameroom for some fun! Hiking trails and local shopping not too far of a drive away!

Fantastic experience - will definitely try to book again!

We stayed here in early November for Sewanee's homecoming weekend. Loved the cabin, the guest house, and the peaceful surroundings with incredible views. The drive up Roarks Cove Road to campus was scenic and pretty easy from the cabin. Is a much quieter option than others that are in the "Sewanee-Montagle corridor". Highly recommend!

Perfectly away from everything

It’s perfect for getting away but not too far away. It takes a little bit of extra effort to get up to it but it’s worth it. We did the Greeter Falls trail about 40 minutes away this time and we 10/10 recommend. It was a little over a mile with a lot of steep elevation changes but it was thrilling and the views were worth it. The hot tub on a chilly morning and evening was blissful. The fire pit helped us be able to enjoy the outdoors with some extra warmth. The added hammock since our last trip was the most peaceful chill spot ever. A+

Greatest hosts you could ask for

Not only was the cabin itself amazing but the hosts nathan and his wife Amanda went absolutely above and beyond what a host normally would. Could not recommend the cabin enough. If you want to stay in Tennessee this is the place.

Lovely house

The house is quite attractive and well appointed with unexpected extras (lots of DVD's, outdoor grill, fire pit, etc). We didn't have time to take advantage of the game room, but it looks like great fun. The house is 15-20 minutes from Sewanee (where the family wedding was), in a very quiet area. The biggest surprise was not the gravel road as such, but the 1/2 mile of pretty steep hill up to the house. And the gravel road itself could use some maintenance,

Great & fun cabin

Had a great time staying at the cabin. The cabin was super clean & very homey. My husband thought this was the best cabin we stayed at thus far. The game room was great. We loved playing the arcade games for sure. The hot tub was super nice as well. Beautiful views from the balcony!! We'll definitely be back & hopefully bring the kids with us as we believe they would love it!! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys cabins & outdoors to stay. Great hosts as well

Quiet getaway

If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing getaway this is your place to go! The game room in garage provides some fun entertainment. However, sitting in the hot tub under a clear Tennessee night sky was the best! We listened to owls, and watched deer roam across the yard. Great place!!

4th on the Mountain

Our entire family enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. We were able to easily access Sewanee's campus for 4th of July festivities and for several hiking trails. Our children (9, 8, and 4) loved the game room, exploring the property, and deer watching from the hot tub. It is a perfect, quiet get away. There are so many details that make this property a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful family vacation spot

The whole experience from booking to asking questions before the trip, to staying at this location was awesome. The home owners communicated quickly, and answered all of our questions. The home is a cute small cottage, with lots of personal touches. It was a prefect place if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. Our teens loved the game room, and we loved the views on the top balcony. Yoga in the gazebo in the morning provides a beautiful view, and the breeze up on the hill is awesome. The local restaurants were great, our favorite was the Mi Casa in Monteagle, TN. Within a 30 minute drive, are two places we recommend; The Caverns, and the South Cumberland trails. The water falls in the area are beautiful. One thing I could see being a drawback for some is the steep dirt road leading to the home. We didn’t have any issues, but some may find this to be an issue. Overall this was a wonderful trip, and we enjoyed unplugging for a few days.

Tiny, but fun

Really small everything! Game room is great. Check-in and out times a bit stingy. Owners easy to reach, fast to communicate.
