Golf getaway

Spent 5 nights with 3 other friends and golfed at Gallery and Dove Mountain. House is great and spool is fantastic! Great communication all around and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

The property was a great home to relax on the spacious patio, play games on the kitchen table, make dinner in the well appointed kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms had comfortable sheets and plenty of towels. We loved this home!

Golf Get Away

This is the second year for our golf group to visit this stunning property. We are very impressed with the overall property with respects to not only the location, but it is located among a very upscale gated neighborhood . The house is very well decorated and extremely comfortable and laid out. The location is very near the Gallery and Dove Mountain golf courses. It is ideal with 4 bedrooms that especially suits our 4 golfers and that is hard to fine in the area. I should mention that the kitchen is perfect for preparing meals on site. It contains an abundant supply of utensils, pots and pans along with other items that are very important to prepare a meal. The outdoor space is spectacular with a wonderful view of the valley and the beautiful hillside loaded with beautiful forest of saguaro cactuses just across the fairway. After a day of golf the back yard spa-pool or spool is a wonderful retreat in the evening. We can hardly wait to return next year for year 3!

A special place

This is the first time we have rented a home and a high bar has been set by staying at Desert Solitaire. It is a wonderfully appointed home that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a family gathering or to simply relax. Spotlessly clean and well-stocked, with thoughtful touches evident throughout. Peaceful, beautiful, and quiet, the house is nestled against the Tortolita mountains in a secluded neighborhood. During our stay we saw javelinas, road runners, and various birds. Diane, the owner, is a gracious host. From initial booking to checkout, she promptly responded to any requests or questions we had and provided us with lists of recommended restaurants and attractions. For seven days, it felt like it was our home and not a rental. A delightful and all too brief stay.

Tucson Family Vacation

The property is in a lovely gated community tucked into the foothills of northern Tucson. The home is spacious and well maintained with all the amenities needed. The secluded location does mean that it takes a while to get to most places a visitor might like to go like the national park, Sabino canyon and downtown.

Simply Divine!

Great first impression - beautifully decorated, interesting artwork, excellent layout to the house for our family of 8 people. Our master bedroom was enormous * my husband loved the closet. The other 3 bedrooms were a good size and the ensuites were winners. Two dining areas, two relaxing living areas, fireplace, bar area (kept the men out of the kitchen- martini glasses were a plus but we needed large red wine glasses for those beautiful wines my husband and sons bought for us ladies) and a fantastic kitchen for a family who loves to cook. The outdoor area was used from coffee early in the morning listening to the birds and taking in the beauty of the mountains and landscaping, lounging in the small pool ( unfortunately we didn't get heating til our last day) , Happy Hour , then dinner at the outside dining table with the fireplace lending ambience to the evening. Perfect! Our thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely home with us.

Fabulous experience

What an amazing, month-long, kick-off to what promises to be an adventure-filled retirement! This gorgeous home is perfectly situated for hiking and biking. The home itself is beautifully appointed and spacious. The well-equipped kitchen makes dining-in a breeze, but there are also very good restaurants in the area. The views are breathtaking and the sunrises/sunsets unmatched. Outdoor living is easy. The landscaping is stunning, the lovely dining area has a fireplace, the built-in grill affords ample counter space, and the lounge area near the wonderful (and welcome) spool is large and comfortable. The hosts and property manager couldn't have been more warm, welcoming or responsive. We truly had a fabulous experience.

Incredible House/Friendly and Responsive Owner

The house and neighborhood are lovely. The property manager met us promptly to check us in and show us the house. Diane, (the owner), has a folder with instructions for things around the house, restaurants, and places of interest. The house is well equipped with any supplies you might need. The patio and Spool proved to be a great place to spend a quiet afternoon socializing with friends and enjoying the stunning view. We didn't use the fireplaces but used the grill several times. We only experienced a few minor maintenance issues that were going to be addressed promptly. We have stayed on Dove Mountain many times, and this is by far the nicest property we have rented. We would definitely stay at this property again.
