You won’t want to leave….

HFS quite possibly one of the best weekend experiences I’ve ever had. Perfect in every way. A lot of effort went into creating a most perfect environment to just hang out and unwind. 10/10 doesn’t even adequately convey how pleased I am with the cottage and view etc. amazing. Just amazing.

Lovely cabin in a great location. Everything you need is there and close to many beautiful places.

Relaxing, enjoyable, clean and comfortable. Would love to go again, but sadly it’s booked for all of next years summer months. Very popular indeed!

David was great! Had a wonderful time! Always wanted to see a frozen Lake Erie. It didn't disappoint. When we first entered the cottage we were in awe. So woodsy, clean, not cluttered. Close to restaurants and shops. Close to the highway. Easy to get in and out. Make sure you follow David's directions. Chautauqua Creek fed into Lake Erie beside us and was amazing. A little disappointed some restaurants were closed for the winter but understand. Great long weekend! Will be back!!!

Our getaway cottage

What a great cabin! We had a great time, it was the end of February and cold and the cabin was nice and cozy warm. Very well appointed, anything and everything you would ever need is in the kitchen. We did get to walk on a frozen Lake Erie and took many pictures. We were in the area to see our kids and grandkids and this was the perfect getaway from their everyday craziness. We did get to meet Dave and his dogs when we arrived and he was very nice and made sure to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

Winter Wonderland Getaway!

The location on Lake Erie was just what we had hoped for. Driftwood Cottage was perfect for my husband and I with plenty of space. It was warm, clean and inviting just as the photos showed. David, the host, was helpful as needed and quick to reply. Thank you and we would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity!

Perfect Place

This cabin, right on the lake, is the perfect location to spend time in the area no matter the time of year. My wife and I spent the weekend visiting the area and taking in the winter activities. We had everything we needed in this very clean and well stocked cabin. The views of the frozen lake from the comfort of a cozy family room sealed the deal. We were told by locals to come back and visit in the summer for a whole different experience. If we return, we know we have a great place to stay.

Slice of Heaven

One of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed in. Pictures can not do it justice. You are literally on Lake Erie and Chautauqua Creek. You are a short walk to the lighthouse along the beach. It has everything you could need/want fully stocked. I will be back for sure!!! Make sure you follow the directions sent to you in the app and not GoogleMaps/Apple Maps/Wayz. Also, make sure you know which cottage you are checking into as they are identical when pulling up. There are large signs showing the cottage name but make sure you know if you are staying in Driftwood or you know the cottage name prior. If staying in the winter make sure you have 4WD as its right on the lake and weather can change instantly.

Confluence of convenience

Lovely spot for fishing and local recreation. Near creek shoreline recently restored and stabilized with tree plantings which is ideal for trout fishing. House has everything you’d want for modern cabin. Come and you’ll want to return again.

Location, Location, Lication

This is the perfect location to decompress. Visited a few years ago at the neighboring cabin of this owner’s and had to come back. Drive thru the woods to the cabin and lake. The lake is a very short walk from the cabin with beach access. If it’s raining sit on the porch, watch the waves, and read a book. The cabin is well appointed and comfortable.

Long weekend at the lake

This was our fourth and not last stay. We just love our time at Steelhead Run. Cabin was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The lake was beautiful as always even. Our dog loved walking on the beach and the sunsets are unmatched.

We stay at these cabins several times throughout the year. They are always very clean and have everything you could think of. Dave and his wife are wonderful hosts and always answers your questions in a timely manner. We just love it here. We look forward to going back up at the end of the month.

Perfect!

We love staying here. It's far enough away from home, but also close enough. It is easy to relax here, ride bikes, sit on the beach, read a book, paint rocks, look for sea glass, go to the wineries....the possibilities are endless. I love that everything is provided and I love, love, love having the washer and dryer!
