4 min shuttle to Village

Easy to get to the village with the free Northstar shuttle. Great for kids and plenty of space for several families!

1613 Deer Path

It was okay but the pictures are much nicer than the property. The stairs could have been a huge issue if it was colder. The stove didn’t close all the way and didn’t heat correctly so we either burned things or it didn’t cook fast enough. The bathrooms were less than desireable. One of them you would get stuck on the toilet if you were taller than 5 feet. I wouldn’t stay here again but memories were made. Please work on your advertising.

Tahoe Cabin Fun!

Great property, the place is even larger than the photos make it seem. Great space for entertaining guests, and lots of beds. Very close drive to Kings Beach, quiet neighborhood.

Overall great place for two families

The house was clean and spacious! I would definitely stay here again, in the winter months. We didn’t think we would miss the AC, but it would’ve been nice for the early evenings…even with the windows open, it was a little warm for our liking. The kitchen is stocked with the basics that we needed to cook. Bath towels were plentiful. The two King mattresses were uncomfortable. The full size mattress had a pillow topper and that made it comfortable. We would have liked a broom or a Dyson to clean up during our stay…. The large deck was lovely and had plenty of space. Overall, I’d recommend this place.

Amazing cabin

The cabin is cozy and spacious. We had a group of 6, but could've easily been 10+. The games selection was surprisingly diverse, and the poker table came handy even for a game of Catan. The stained windows were an amazing touch. My only complaint is that the listing showed the cabin within walking distance of the Northstar village, when it's definitely not. However, the commuter shuttles make it a short trip to the village.

Nice, but with some minor issues..

Check in and communication was great. The house itself great as well. Hot tub was excellent and new! Loved that. Also loved the back yard area where my kids were able to sled and play. The cleanliness was fantastic too. The main issues for me were the couches were broken. They did not recline. The outdoor TV also did not work. The filter in the refrigerator for water needed to be replaced. The water tasted ok, so we still drank it, but not sure how long its been out for. Avantstay offered free wi-fi, but it was not secure. The mattresses were made with springs and it made for uncomfortable nights. All in all I would say this place is great for what you pay though. It was warm and the amenities were great. I would recommend.

AvantStay listing is misleading; This is not a luxury home, and it is overpriced

We paid a premium rate for this property, based on an AvantStay listing with professional photos showcasing new furniture and artwork. The reality is an older home with some quirky features that were not described. For example, the "master suite" has the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. Using the toilet requires acrobatic moves to avoid bumping your head on the wall, and the sink is actually in the bedroom. While there, we experienced multiple major problems: - Broken shower - Broken hot tub cover - Broken ice machine - Strong smell of urine throughout the upstairs Had we paid a reasonable rate for this home, we would have been able to appreciate its upsides. For example, the home has a nice large upstairs area and the furniture throughout is comfortable and stylish. But since many things were broken, and the listing suggested a luxury home, we felt mislead and overcharged. We will avoid AvantStay homes in the future. If you are interested in this home, please note that it is older and has broken appliances. If the rate is reasonable, it is otherwise a nice place.

North Star Property

Good location and property features. Management by AvantStay was excellent. Property itself had good features and was generally well equipped…..outside deck with hot tub is a great feature. Recognizing it is a rental, nonetheless interior getting a little tired inside….”shag” carpeting in particular could use replacing.

Amazing Stay

It was a great stay. Hot tub was the best !! Perfect floor plan. It would have been better if bathrooms were a lil spacious, but not a big concern. Overall, great cabin. I highly recommend.
