Very nice home for large groups or families. Having three legit master bedrooms was a very nice touch. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and kitchen gadgets. Hot tub and bbq worked great. Two minor critiques: the downstairs to upstairs is a loft-type design so noise carries, and pool access was in the listing but not actually available for short term guests according to the pool staff. Even if there is a work-around for the pool passes, the pool/resort fee is 24/person - not viable for a large group.

Dental School Golf Buddies

Reunion of dentists who first met in 1980 @ OHSU Dental.We enjoyed Three rounds of golf, Old Greenwood, Grizzly Ranch, and Coyote Moon. The house was perfect as everyone had their own room and bathroom. The driveway was a bit tricky to back down. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking your our meals. I would rent again!

Great house for a guys trip!

This house is fantastic. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 7 guys. We especially loved the kitchen and the sauna!

Nice place, a couple small things to improve

Lovely place! We really enjoyed it overall. A couple quick notes on things to be improved:1) Would be good to have a recycling receptacle somewhere in the kitchen and more blue recycling bags for the outdoor bear box. We didn't have enough for our recycling.2) The path to the hot tub needs some way to prevent slipping, the ice there is treacherous!3) Knives in kitchen were not sharp—sharp knives would be great.

WWB Golf Trip

This was a well appointed, clean and spacious property in a great location. Sleeping arrangements were wonderful. Excellent and prompt communication with property management, they went above and beyond! Only comment is there were more stairs than expected.

Wonderful trip!

We visited as a group of 14 women celebrating a friend for the weekend. The house was beautiful and there was more than enough space for all of us. Plenty of plates, cutlery, and cooking items for us to eat meals together. There were only 12 seats around the table, but lots of room for more and some other barstool height seats at the kitchen island, but if you have a group of more than 12 you may want to bring a folding chair (We brought two and it worked great!). The owner/property manager was very prompt in responding to all of our questions. We would love to return!

Beautiful Home!

Such a wonderful, modern home for our group of friends to stay for a long weekend. The bedrooms and bathrooms are generously sized, the kitchen is perfect for a large group and the hot tub and sauna were a hit after a long day on the slopes. A few very minor fixes to make the stay even better - hooks to hang towels outside at the hot tub, and shelves in the bedroom closets (since there are no dressers) to put away clothing so we aren't living out of our suitcases. We can't wait to return again next year!

The perfect ski trip house!

Absolutely beautiful property with incredible amenities, comfortable beds, ample space, and wonderfully communicative and helpful hosts! A must for any large group staying in Truckee!

Beautiful & Spacious

We had a great time! Big bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of kitchen space. It was only 25 minutes to the Palisades. Lots of extra blankets and beds as well.

Tahoe Family Gathering

The home was perfect for our extended family gathering for a fun ski and snow play weekend. The bedrooms are spacious and very clean and plenty of beds for everyone. The dining table can be opened to seat 12 comfortably and the kitchen is large and well stocked with dishes and cookware to make all our meals. During our stay, it snowed overnight and we were concerned with snow accumulating on the driveway but it looked like the driveway may be heated since no snow was on the driveway. Also the snowplow came early morning to clear the driveway so we were able to get in and out of the home without any problems. Everyone enjoyed the time spent together in this wonderful home. We will definitely come back again.

Long weekend stay

Overall, the house is great. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Very nice kitchen table that holds 14 easily. We had 10 adults and 4 young kids in our group and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Multiple balconies and the main master steam shower was a nice bonus. The listing was a bit confusing as it says in multiple places the house is large enough for 16 people. However after we booked, the property manager said the max number of people regardless of age is 14. Any person over that is subject to extra charges per day. My group ended up being 14, but originally we had 12 adults and 5 small children planned. The management company said they would “work with me” on charges, but it seemed a little ridiculous to charge extra money for a 3 and 4 yr old child. The management company was also insistent that 2 vehicles park in the garage. The space does NOT fit a full size truck (Crew cab, short bed Silverado). The driveway is large and we were able to fit outside just fine. The kitchen silverware only had a place setting for 8. VERY inconvenient to constantly wash forks! Also, there are only 12 chairs. There are stools for the island, but our whole group wasn’t able to sit around the table. There would have been plenty of room had there been enough chairs. LOTS OF STAIRS!!! The entire inside is hardwood. Nice decor, but as there is a no shoe rule for the house, little kids in socks around all the stairs is nerve wracking. Outdoor stairs also get icy.

Great house for work retreat

We came up on a work retreat/ski trip. Everyone had a very nice stay in the house. The house is great for a larger group, and the kitchen is particularly well setup for socializing while cooking. Would definitely stay there again!

Clean& spacious house

We spent 4 days at this house with family. Property manager quick and easy to communicate with. House was very clean and welcoming. Amazing kitchen with big dining table, perfect for big family gathering. Convenient rooms with comfortable beds and a lot of extra folding beds and mattresses. Will definitely recommend and come back.

30th birthday celebration

We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday with our family and friends. This house was the perfect set up, giving privacy to all couples! The driveway was narrow, but didn’t cause us any issues. The house was very clean and in a great location. The kitchen supplies were very limited, but we made do! The house was just as advertised and we had the best time!

Great Stay, Less Than Friendly Host

The house is well built; the amenities are some of the best, but this doesn't makeup for the issues during my stay. Initially, I asked the host if 16 people could stay since there's 16 places to sleep. Supposedly 14 is the maximum due to Truckee/HOA regulations. The host said they'd allow the extra people to stay if we paid an extra money. It seemed strange they would overlook the regulations if we paid more. At that rate, we decided the extra people would stay at a different accommodation. The extra people still came over to the house temporarily to gather for a birthday celebration. Immediately after the extra people entered the house on the first day, I got a call from the property management rep, and he was rude and aggressive saying that multiple neighbors were unhappy with the commotion of shuffling our cars around (we weren't even loud) and accused me of exceeding the maximum occupancy. He threatened me saying he took pictures of all the license plates and would report us without letting me explain myself. There was nothing said about no guests coming over temporarily, and we never let them stay the night, so it was very upsetting to be treated this way. Additionally, the house was quite dirty in a few places: cooking equipment hadn't been washed and the tub in one of the masters spewed black stuff when turned on. Lastly, the listing itself doesn't mention that two of the twins are rollout beds, which we found broken, and the downstairs queen is a pullout.

Clean big house, nice rooms and bathrooms

Place was great, rooms are big and lots of bathrooms. Upstairs and downstairs common areas to hang out, big garage to put stuff. Hot tub and sauna wet a big plus. Only negatives would be there is no patio furniture and the driveway is a little narrow. Other than that the place is wonderful.

Excellent location, not entirely comfortable house

Great property for a large family. The owner is exceptionally responsive - never had a vrbo host respond to messages so quickly. PROS: excellent spot to gather in the large, well-appointed kitchen, great for family dinners and game nights. Lots of privacy as each couple had their own bedroom and bath. Excellent location close to town, lovely forested backyard. Super amenities (hot tub, sauna, nice showers/tubs, jacuzzi, fireplaces, TVs, wifi, easy lock). CONS: Noisy house. Mostly hard surfaces, so sound travels. More rugs, drapes, textured paint might help. Only one bedroom had a dresser - the rest had closets with a few shirt hangers, and with one exception, shelves so high that they weren't handy for unpacking. So essentially, we lived out of our suitcases, on the floor. Adding shelving in the closets or dressers would solve this. The driveway/garage was quite clumsy to negotiate for our four cars. There were nice decks but only one had seating (a picnic table) - the others had no deck chairs, so it was hard to relax outdoors with a good book or for a low-key conversation. SUMMARY: the house had lots of amenities, a great location, ample room, and responsive, eager-to-help owner. But with the noise, messy suitcases, complicated driveway, and uninviting decks, it wasn't always relaxing.

This charming home checked all the boxes—6 bdrms and 6 baths, really well appointed kitchen in the trees of Tahoe Donner but minutes from great golf and the charm of Truckee. An investment in better beds and living room furniture would be icing on the cake

Wedding Week Retreat

We had the best time celebrating our daughter and son in law’s wedding! This property was perfect in every way. We had our “morning of” hair and make up for all the bridesmaids. The house is gorgeous, well stocked, and spacious! Our only problem was the driveway. We had two large trucks (due to transporting things to and from the wedding venue) and it was tricky backing out. Other than that we loved it!
