Wonderful cabin!

Loved the cabin! It was so accommodating with a nice bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms separated by a loft with more beds upstairs. The cabin was well equipped with games, kitchen supplies. It was super clean. And the beds and pillows were so comfy! We would recommend this place! Thank you for the wonderful stay! We enjoyed the home!

Ski trip

We had an amazing week in your cabin. My husband and son skied all week while my cousin (who was visiting from UK) and I relaxed and enjoyed catching up and visiting local attractions. Very close to Truckee, so we eat out a few evenings. Cabin had all we needed.

Tahoe/Donner condo

Great property, not the quietest as it fronts a major road but I wouldn't mind moving in. Would have been nice having an evaporative cooler, air conditioning normally isn't needed but it was high 80's/low 90's last week. Also the gas fireplace had a pilot flame on but it's really high, abnormally high and radiated heat into the living room. Not a huge issue as we were out most the time.

Fabulous 4th of July Getaway

We had such a good time staying at the Larsen’s vacation home. They belong to a community clubhouse where (for a nominal fee) we went swimming, did archery, and watched fireworks from Donner beach. The Larsen’s have a delightful home beautifully decorated and perfect for a big family looking to vacation in Tahoe!

Great townhome with cozy living space

We arrived in the evening and the area was sufficiently lit. The lock box is on the side of the garage, not the front door. There was snow piled up on the way to the front door as the snow clearing service clears the driveway/lot, not the pathway to the door/stairs. The living area is cozy and warm with the beautiful fireplace that heats the area nicely. The rooms are nicely spread out. The loft area with the bunk beds is open to the living area below, so we didn't have our son sleep on the bunk beds even though he really wanted to because we thought he would be disturbed by the light/sound from the adults in the living area below. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We never heard neighbors (though hard to know if they were even around). The loft area also had some games provided, one of which was one we had never played and really enjoyed! The home was close to downtown Truckee and a short drive to ski resorts, which is why we were in town. Our last night at the house we lost power due to wind/snow in the area, which was not restored by the time we checked out. We were still able to find a lighter to use the gas stove to cook breakfast before heading out of town since the restaurants were also out of power. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future!

Beautiful Area

The condo sleeps 8 comfortably and is in a great, easy-access location. Love Tahoe Donner. Owner allowed us to check-in 3 hours early which was nice. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. It felt as though the condo hadn’t been used or cleaned in months: expired food in fridge, mouse droppings in the pantry, moldy smell when we walked in. Also, the thermostat is not calibrated properly. Heat would not run all night, then would start at 4 or 5 in the morning and literally run for two hours straight. Luckily, the bedding was more than adequate and quite comfortable. The outdoor trash bin was full when we arrived, which made it difficult with a five night stay. Finally, as far as the household amenities are concerned…everything is quite dated and not necessarily in working order (microwave, tv remotes). It would also have been nice to have a remote for the garage door.

Perfect for Golf…

Fantastic location for golf. Right across the street from Coyote Moon and just a short drive to the other great courses in Truckee. Shockingly comfortable pads and a fully equipped kitchen. Check the kitchen pantry for all the extra beers left by previous visitors. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Overall a good place for a ski trip!

We had a nice stay at the property. The location was pretty good, the only issue is that it is on the main road so going for a walk from there was not really an option - had to drive to different locations every day to walk in the evenings. Also, we had 2 cars and the garage was super small, so hard to fit one car in it, then had to back the other one up into the driveway which was fine, but required a lot of maneuvering. There are a few extra parking spots but they were all taken and with all the snow, was a bit tricky with the parking. We initially had an issue upon arrival, but called the host and she took care of it immediately which was great. I would recommend this place - was reasonably priced and easy to get to and from ski resorts, town, etc.
