Northstar beauty

Comfortable home with great proximity to Northstar resort. We had a surprise snowfall and were able to ski for Thanksgiving!

Feb 2020 Tahoe trip

Great location to slopes. The transportation app was great. House was awesome. We plan to book this home again when we get another chance to make it to the Tahoe area.

Perfect location for skiing at Northstar!

This was a lovely home, great location, access to the Northstar shuttle was great to have! The hot tub was awesome to have after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was well stocked. If I had to say something negative is that the beds were not comfortable, with the exception of the master bedroom, this bed was very comfortable.

An overall nice place to stay, but small details are lacking…

To start with the good: location is fantastic, and the layout is really nice for hosting a large group. The recreation room has good soundproofing, so the people who want to stay up later can do so without disturbing anyone in the bedrooms.The bad: the dishwasher doesn’t clean dishes properly, one room had a visible footprint on the bedsheet, the shower in the master bath leaks and continuously drips, and the bear box was already full when we arrived. I get that the trash pickup is once a week, but I would have expected it to be cleared out in between guests.

Great house - will rent again

This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of space, set up well and stocked. The location was ideal for skiing at Northstar . We will definitely try to rent this house anytime we come to the area. The only critique I have is, all of the bedding could be upgraded. The pillows are flat and need to be replaced as well as some of the blankets and sheets. The last bedroom could use a new mattress and pillows as well, but they were not so bad that they hindered our trip.

Fireside Lodge at Northstar

We had a great stay at Fireside Lodge at Northstar. The shuttle service was amazing. Allowing us to take the grandkids skiing without having to load them in the truck and drive up to the Village. House was as advertised. Great kitchen, pool table a huge bonus. Hot tub so welcoming after a day on the slopes. The mud room for all the gear was fabulous. The fireplace made the evenings so comforting. The checkerboard table big hit with the grandkids. Tahoe Getaways was very accommodating with notices and all check in details. We will for sure be back in the future.

Northstar Skiing Holiday

Great house for two families. Shuttle service is a great amenity and we had a great vacation. My only complaint about the house is the linen and bedding. Pillows are terrible, scarce, old and some of them without cover. I find that disgusting. The kitchen could be better equipped. There was no wine cork opener, espresso machine and cooking palettes.

Warbird Ski Trip

We have a group in our 60's that have been getting together to ski annually for decades. The snow was fantastic and the crowds on the slopes were tame. The lodge location was perfect with the shuttle. After skiing, the jacuzzi was pretty nice. Of course, we gathered around the large and well-equipped kitchen. After dinning we were able to both move to the game table to play cards and board games; and to the pool table for very competitive cutt-throat billiards. The fantastic snow was the epic cake with the lodge as icing. We had our cake and ate it too. Sincerely, Mike Riggs

Great lots of room so we could do what we wanted to enjoyed very much. There was one patio chair that was broken. The shower in the hall bathroom didn’t work well. You got water and then it shut off. The cold water faucet in the sink didn’t shut off so it kept running. I think it maybe backwards.

Prop mgmt co was very responsive. Great job there. Kitchen is very well stocked. Loved that. Liked the hottub - it was green tho - even after we had someone come out to service it. The house is nice but some updates are needed. In the master bedroom we noticed a large wrench - learned quickly that the handle to turn on the water in the shower has been broken so you have to use said wrench to turn it off and on?! There are no smart tvs in the house. That would be a plus if they upgraded current tvs or note that in the description - as most of us who rent have come to expect that as a standard. It would also be great to have a tv in the family room, next to the kitchen. We saw there were cables there - just no tv. Front room has minimal seating - where the tv is. That's due to a pool table in that same room which seems weird. Back sliding glass door near kitchen needs to be fixed - we could feel cold air coming through it - it was difficult to open and close. The master bedroom is lovely although the bathroom vanity is literally in the bedroom - creating a full bath separate from the bedroom would be better. Don't think I'd rent this house again for those reasons but hats off to the prop mgmt co.

The location was great. Stayed during off-peak season and had a great time with hikes and biking throughout Northstar.

Perfect stay for a group

This house is amazing... perfectly well maintained. amenities are great, including the pool table. and hot tub. We were a group of friends staying to race the Tahoe Trail Race, so this place worked perfectly. Garage was perfect so we could store bikes and also work on them. I would definitely rent this place again

Beautiful, clean home in a great location

This house was perfect for 4 young adults and 4 older adults. Plenty of room and clean. Hot tub worked. Towels were provided. I would highly recommend Northstar management company. Directions about the property, key entry, ETC. were accurate and they emailed/texted me before, during and after the stay. Very responsive. The house was perfect for us and in a great location - 15 minutes from Truckee and 15 minutes from Lake Tahoe. Highly recommend the bike/walk path on North Shore Drive into Sand Harbor. Beautiful. There are many hiking trails in the area too and downtown Truckee is adorable. Loved the whole area!

Nice house at Northstar

This was a great house for a family group of 8 to spread out. The 4 bunks were especially helpful, since all 3 kids could be in that room, while the adults spread out more. The bathrooms were good, the hot tub was nice and hot (and a shoveler had cleared a path to it through 10' of snow), the pool table/TV room was great, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We struggled getting the heat to do what we wanted--it would be too cold at times, and if we reset it, the temperature reverted to too cold when we were skiing. It would be too warm at night upstairs, but cold in the lowest bedroom. Ecobee seemed to have a mind of its own. There were stacks of wood for the fireplace and it worked well, but there wasn't any kindling. The amenities are good, although shuttles are late & often crowded during the holidays, and the pool had been drained so we couldn't use that. All in all, though, it was a very comfortable and well-located house for our group of 8.

Large house, very clean and well appointed

This is a nicely appointed, spacious house inside Northstar. No view of any kind, but the house itself is very nice. The listing is accurate. Overall, this is a great place for a group of people.

Dirty. Sheets were stained and appliances were filthy! Showers were the worst.

The place was not clean. You had to really scrub off the gunk off the kitchenware. Description said everything was cleaned and sanitized and it was far from that.
