Great spring break!

Our family with 2 teens had a wonderful stay in Truckee. Chose this location as we were blocks away from close friends. The house was perfect for us. Kitchen was fully stocked so we could eat most our meals home but so close to groceries and plenty of restaurants. So close to several ski spots. We enjoyed skiiing, shopping, tubing, snow mobiles, and driving around Lake Tahoe. We never once needed to contact the property manger for anything. Highly recommend!

House was awesome, 10 digit code to get in was not

This townhouse was modern clean and perfect for our family of four. However, the instructions to get inside were inadequate. The garage was open, but we wasted 45 minutes trying to enter the code on the pin pads at the garage. Then once inside the garage, we really had a hard time entering -- TEN digits in a row -- quickly enough and without making mistakes to get inside. This has to change for us to want to come back. One person in our party had to use the restroom and it literally took us 50 minutes to get inside. There's a reason that most security codes are 4-6 digits. Because it's reasonable to expect someone to memorize a short train of numbers. But with the 10 digit code, someone had to read them off from the phone while the other person entered it. Problems with the phone going dark, misreading and mis-entering, I'd say it was a total nightmare. I'm being generous in giving 4 stars because this truly was a hardship.

Great Place for Ski Week Blizzard

We booked this place starting with location. We were skiing Palisades but wanted to make sure we could get to friends near Old Greenwood and Northstar while also enjoying a couple of dinners downtown. This was the perfect location for all of that. Once we knew where, this condo stood out for looking modern and clean. A big bonus, especially given the storm that rolled in, was having the garage with interior access. Overall it was a great place to stay and we will definitely look to return. All of that said, make sure to read the house rules before you go. They are all well-documented and therefore fair. But

Ski trip

Great property and very spacious for a group of 8 people. We can for a ski trip and had a great time. One downside is that some of the doors don’t have locks including the bathrooms. Also the management is VERY rigid on check in and check out times. We had a young 2 year old in the group and needed a bit more time for check out but they were extremely inflexible. So one star for customer service but other than that this property was great.

Friends with Kids Ski trip

The condo was very clean and fit our needs for the 6 of us. The location was great, near Northstar Ski resort, Lake Tahoe and downtown Truckee. I wouldn’t recommend if you are traveling with younger children. The neighbor next door came and rang our door bell asking our kids who were just playing hide and seek to be quiet. This was at 7 pm. We thought that was a little excessive, as they were not being loud, just being children. “Quiet” hours are at 10 pm.

Great Complex

We have stayed at this complex many times but never this particular unit. I do love the location, layout, amenities. Everything was great except the master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. It’s hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. I also wish this complex offered recycling. It feels very odd to throw recyclable items in the trash. Other than that, would I stay here again yes but would ask if the mattress was replaced. Thank you.

Quaint and cozy

Lovely house for our family of 5 in a quiet area and close to bike/hike trail for kids. The house was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Communication with PM was easy and the house was thoroughly cleaned before check in.

Yes, Yes and Yes

Having a garage to park was awesome. We only used the main floor however if we had more quests would have been perfect utilizing the top floor with 2 bdrms and another bath. This unit had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. All in all, there's nothing more I could have asked for.

NOT GOOD - Think twice before booking!

Horrible experience! Tried to cancel 5 days in advance due to COVID. I get that part and I’m not upset about that. Made the best of it and went on day 2 of the 4 day stay. Arrived at 3:30 and turned around and left at 7:30! Upstairs bedroom slider door latch was broken, none of the TV’s worked. After wasting an hour troubleshooting with someone from Turnkey…. a handyman was sent out to look at everything. We went to dinner and he let himself in. When we got back, we decided to leave altogether. There were NO INSTRUCTIONS on how the TV’s or remotes worked. We were afraid to turn them off for fear we could not get them back on. The AQI in Truckee was 350 (smoke) so there was nothing to do but watch TV. The only way Turnkey staff will interact is by text…. Very inefficient! WHAT A COLOSSAL WASTE OF MONEY! Will NEVER, EVER use VRBO / Turnkey ever again!

Neighbor Not Friendly

If you are looking not to talk then this is the place for you. We had a complaint one night while watching the baseball game that we were too loud at 8:45 at night even though the neighbors across the way were playing loud music past 10:00. During our stay they sealed the driveway and were told that we needed to be off the driveway from 9:00-7:00 that day. We did as were told and left the entire day and came back after 8:00 that night and parked. The next morning we were woken up by the neighbor pounding on the door and verbally attacking me. We were not told that they didn't complete the work the day prior and needed to be out of the parking lot the next day as well. Again, we left for the entire day. What was supposed to be a fun family get away turned into nothing but stress. When we reached out to management, they apologized.

Beautiful property but too hot

This property is beautiful and was perfect for four adults and two children. The kids loved the jacuzzi bathtub in the master bath. We loved the area. It’s close to many beautiful settings. The major downfall about this property: it was too hot, especially upstairs. Owners need to consider installing air conditioning.

Vacation

Overall my family and I had fun. The home was clean when we arrived. It was spacious, so we had enough room to seat around each other. Only issue we had was that their was no air conditioning. So 2 of the upper floor rooms did get hot during the day. Other than that it was fun

Wonderful Place for a Retreat

I needed to do some work in person with a business partner. We stayed at this great place and really enjoyed the layout for our work and for our overall stay. Very clean and nicely decorated. Had all items needed in kitchen and bathrooms. Only challenge was getting in -- but the property manager was extremely responsive on text.

Great customer service; house could use updates

Overall: I would give this house a 3.5/5. The house could use some fixing but the rental company (TurnKey) had great customer service. House: This house is in a nice neighborhood and very walkable to parks, a path, and a few restaurants (try 5050 Brewery, Drunken Monkey sushi, or Mountain Valley Meats [butcher shop] off Brockway Road!). This house was in decent condition but not exactly as was expected. The house was decently clean but a more thorough cleaning under the sofas and beds would have been appreciated. The toilet paper holders in 2 of 3 bathrooms were falling off the wall, which made them difficult to use. The water in the primary bathroom tub was lukewarm at best. We cooked almost all meals at the house and found the oven door incredibly hard to open (you really have to muscle it to open the door all the way) and the dishwasher door flops open, as though it needs to be levelled. There also appears to be tension between the owner/neighbors and the rental; we woke up one day to bags of garbage on our doorstep that we assume were wrongly placed in the neighbor's trash can in the bear locker and the neighbor's music/movies could be heard in the primary bedroom and living room late into the night. TurnKey team: The TurnKey team provided great customer service throughout our stay. When we arrived we found only 1 kitchen dish towel; we contacted the TurnKey team and they coordinated with us to drop off more towels. We let them know about the garbage that showed up on our doorstep and we coordinated both where it should go and scheduled an additional pick-up because the appropriate trash can in the bear locker was full.

Spacious, clean & great location

Condo was very spacious for our family and extremely clean, which was especially appreciated during COVID. Location is prime; just minutes from Downtown Truckee and less than 15 mins to Northstar. Garage was nice during the winter. Only callout would be that the sinks in the master bathroom were a bit slow to drain.
