This house is in a terrific location. And it was clean. But read the reviews! The beds are SO uncomfortable. Not in a "different people prefer different firmness levels" uncomfortable. We literally slept on the floor on camping mattresses because the beds are so awful.
Also there were insufficient basic supplies. There was 1 (one!) replacement kitchen trash bag. Not a box of bags, but ONE bag. The house is advertised for a crowd. All of us making breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 days required more than 2 small kitchen trash bags. Same with dishwasher soap- we had to buy more. Again, a crowd eating 3 meals a day may require more than one dishwashing load a day. Same with toilet paper. We had to buy more. And we had to buy salt for the driveway so that we could get in and out (we have AWD and chains- it is winter and snowy and icy and the driveway has a steep bit next to the road). For the cost of renting this house, it seems unfair for it not to have sufficient trash bags and dish soap and toilet paper. If it had only been one item, it would have been no big deal. But since all of these basic necessities were in short supply, it felt like the owners were trying to squeeze us for even more money.
Our group has been meeting up to ski every year for 13 years. So we had a great time. But we would definitely not stay at this house again unless the beds were replaced and we could be sure of basic supplies. Total cost of this house for rent, fees, and taxes was $1137 a night. For that kind of money we should not have to buy our own toilet paper and dish soap and sleep on the floors.
