Owner allowed us to enter an hour early, which was greatly appreciated as we had driven 6 hours from Jersey. The place was simple but had all we needed for a stop in the road trip. The dogs were educated by the new smells of animals like goats, chickens, turkeys and cows, pretty funny. Just too bad the pool cover was still on, as it was quite hot for mid April.

Such a cute place!!! Welcoming to pups, a nice long driveway to walk them around. The decor is super cute- farmhouse sassy. Would absolutely stay here again!

This amazing bit of country life has an extraordinary extra of being right next to the goat and chicken coops on the family farm. There is a shared driveway with the owners, but their front yard faces away from the guest house, so privacy is maintained. Otherwise, my dogs were given free rein to romp and play in the front yard or the large enclosed backyard. Note, the backyard has a wire fence that allows you to interact with the goats, chickens, and turkeys! It truly is a petting zoo in your backyard! Their farm animals are very used to strange dogs and get along or get lost according to your pets comfort level. I didn’t let my dogs chase the chickens, the owner, who is very approachable and laid back, said that they know what to do if they were chased. The inside of the cottage is modern country with Scottish cow decor and everything you could need, even for an extended stay. It smelled a bit ‘doggy’ but I was, thus, so very comfortable having my pups with me. The beds are both memory foam and one opens onto the outside enclosure for morning coffee and goat time! Easy to find as well, and easy access to the highway despite being deep into the country. General store with all the basics as well as local beef, eggs, and milk. You can find wine at gas stations off the highway. Highly recommend!

Great communication. Easy check in and out. Wonderful accommodations. So perfectly laid out. Cozy and beautiful. Back yard is beautiful with a gorgeous pool. Was there in 19 degree weather but I can only imagine how wonderful it will be in the warmer months. Host extremely helpful. Easy to find with easy parking. Will definitely be back.

Great location to visit company in Roanoke. There are lots of chickens running around. The bed was very comfortable. Our pup had fun, big yard. The property had lots of character. Pet bed and dishes were also available, nice touch.

A very cozy and clean cottage situated on a little farm with adorable chicks, goats, a duck and a turkey. Beautiful setting. Brought back good memories of growing up on a farm in SC!!

Cute cottage with all the comforts of home! Easy check in and check out. Very clean! Fresh eggs from the owners hens were a real treat for breakfast! Would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

We absolutely adored this place. The owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is fantastic. Anytime I had a question I was answered at lightning speed. The home was 100% magnificent. Every room was clean. They had perfect directions printed out for the surrounding area and how to take care of their place. I would have to say this is in my top 3 most favorite properties I have ever been to.

Its a very nice property, the one bedroom didn't have a tv or a ceiling fan, but thats just my preference. The pool was nice, and it felt good, but i would definitely stay there again, and recommend it!

As Advertised

Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay.
