Beautiful Property

The location and property was absolutely beautiful for our stay. The amenities are as expected and in good condition and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. We look forward to visiting some day again!

Great spot for redwoods and coast

We enjoyed our stay and had great access to the Redwood parks. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy the west coast while being close to the parks. We did visit during the foggy season and had our view blocked 50% of the trip so just keep the seasons in mind and know what to expect. Definitely check out Larrupin Cafe and Trinidad Bay Eatery. It is definitely a small town but still has a couple small shops and restaurants to enjoy and of course the scenery 😊

A spécial spot

Lovely studio with full kitchen. Setting is spectacular view of ocean with an outdoor area to enjoy. It was a great location for Redwoods and beach adventures. Owner recommended Fern Canyon hike which you need an entry pass for. We were able to get a next day pass at 9 and it was wonderful. There are stairs down to the suite.

Beyond beautiful views!

We had a great stay. The setting makes this property extra special. We had full days exploring the redwoods and lost coast, and enjoyed our evenings sitting outside while taking in the gorgeous views and sunset. Don, the homeowner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing us with great recommendations. We will definitely stay here again if we make our way back to Trinidad.

Ocean view

My husband and I arrived at the location and had difficulty finding the correct entrance. Once we placed a call to the host, we were given more detailed directions and found our suite! We knew there was a beautiful view but the fog had rolled in and we couldn't enjoy it our first night. The suite was clean and as described. If you plan to stay here, be sure to bring your own coffee and bath wash, as none was provided. This was a convenient location to enjoy Redwoods National Park and surrounding areas. There is a private area upstairs and you can hear people walking. You could also hear the guests in the suite next door. Please replace or repair the rug that is in front of the refrigerator. The way the rug rolls up, it is a fall waiting to happen. The rug was mentioned in a previous review. Our second night, we had a beautiful sunset and the sky was clear. Overall, a nice location and beautiful views.

Beautiful view of the coast

This location is amazing. Everything in the listing is accurate. This unit offers plenty of privacy from the other two units. The private walk (staircase) down to the lookout platform and beach is steep but so worth it. I hope I am in the area again just so I can stay here.

Stunning Views

My Husband and I enjoyed 10 Beautiful Days here.Biking,beach combing,fine dining and just relaxing taking in the fabulous views.The host, Don is very gracious and friendly ,he brought us a (large) salmon filet to bbq on the patio! It was delicious.We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful View, Missing a Few Details

The view is stunning and worth the trip alone. Suite is adequate, but is missing a few key details. Some additional touches could make a stay that much better! For example - the rug in the kitchen sticks up and gets caught when the fridge door is open and it is a trip hazard. The bathroom knob was very loose when we arrived, we tightened it a bit, but needs some attention. A few more hooks for towels in the bathroom and a plastic inside shower curtain would also be beneficial!

Great views! Comfortable bed. Be prepared for steps. Bare bones kitchen.

Good spot for southern Redwood National Park. Comfortable bed. Bare bones kitchen don’t expect to cook much here. There is a nice grill outside. There is steps to the unit. The bathroom has a dangerous little step that one needs to watch for. Otherwise a nice place.

Ocean Views

I was willing to pay the price to stay at this property for the ocean views alone. In the basement unit, you could hear everyone staying in the other units; the baby crying next door and the people having a party up above. There was no stove and the bathroom could use a redoing. Furthermore, the toilet broke immediately but was fixed with ease by someone later that day.

Great location-too noisy

The unit was clean and nice, beautiful view. The upstairs people were so noisy from morning to late at night and kids were running around. Hard to get peace and quiet with a motel like feel and thin walls.

Perfect -beautiful views! Perfect location!

As mentioned in previous reviews, I heard the constant pitter- patter of feet above. Otherwise, it is a beautiful place to stay. Sit outside and enjoy your coffee in the morning or an evening glass of wine. The suite is lovely and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings were nice. Next time I'll rent the upstairs!
