We had a comfortable spacious room, a nice breakfast in a beautiful setting and felt very welcome at this Bed and Breakfast on the water. I would definitely come back.

This place is a real hidden gem. It’s comfortable and quiet. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It’s not too far from Toronto. Close by there are great dinner options and places to visit.

Windswept is the jewel on the Trent River Absolutely amazing place to stay. Waterfront peaceful Breakfast was delicious

Lovely stay at a lovely property. Beds were comfy with glorious linens, in rooms on the smaller side. Stairs are curved and fairly steep so not great for anyone with stair issues. Spectacular views and gorgeous sitting areas in a unique rustic setting. Host went above and beyond to accomodate us. Kitchen was adequately stocked for basic meal prep. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Really impressed! A lovely weekend retreat!

Absolutely lovely stay, really good amenities, great location (not that far from Toronto) - what more could you want? Location: It is situated in an idea place, with the Coach house being it's own little house and separated from the main house. It means it's very private and like being at your own cottage. The river location is amazing, ideally located and easy to access. Amenities: Great Hot Tub with stunning view, Great Deck, Canoeing, Kayaks, Breakfast was AMAZING!, loads of outdoor seating, tables and benches. Just fantastic. Staff: The owner is amazing. She takes care of you (she made us the best Dirty Gin Martini). Very welcoming, great knowledge of the history of the building and surrounding area. Over-all: Book the coach house. The inside is comfortable, cozy and really nice. The bath tub is great. The bed is SO comfortable. If you want something that feels like a private cottage, but includes breakfast, is close to Toronto and is remote-feeling then BOOK THIS! I will be going back again. Thanks for the lovely weekend stay in the Coach House!

Such a lovely quaint place to stay. Rustic, but with lots of comforts. Can't speak to the staff as the owners were away, but would love to go back and meet them and learn more about the history of the property.

Such a beautiful stay - just the city-escape we needed. The hosts were lovely, gave us some history of the place and the area, let us use their canoes and truly made us feel at home.

Communication was a problem from the moment we booked. I contacted the company by email through the website, and never got a response. When I followed up with phone calls to confirm you had received my email, the phone was never picked up and my voicemails remained unanswered as well. When we arrived at the inn, we were welcomed warmly by the owners, who proceeded to show us our rental. While the place is beautiful in character and in charm, it was dirty. And by dirty, I mean that I was uncomfortable walking on the carpets (human hair and so much dirt everywhere, stains too), and that we had to wipe and scrub the toilet which had pubic hair and excrement stuck all inside the bowl (it probably hadn't been cleaned from a previous stay). The toiletries (shampoo, lotion) left for us were all used, including a thinning soap, and frankly, that's a little disgusting too. We did find our hosts to be warm and kind, very lovely. The property outside was very well kept, and the breakfast was delicious (and our hosts were very accommodating, bringing us breakfast at the time we requested). We ended up enjoying our stay, after we managed to see past the issues, but we also doubt that we will return to that specific place because of how dirty it was.

Beautiful cottage located right on the lake. The owners are very friendly and make sure that you have everything that you need. They even delivered us breakfast to our room. The place is beautiful and each room has so much character.
