Slice of Heaven

Diana met us and introduced us to the lodge, kitchens were well stocked with all the paper products. Bath towels provided were more than enough, everything is super stocked for a large group! The beach area, docks, kayaks, paddle board and paddle boats are an amazing bonus! Bonfire area on the beach is complete contentment! If you need to unwind and spend some quality time with family making memories, High Lake Lodge is the place!

8 days wasn't long enough

We loved our stay on High Lake. It is our second year in a row on this lake and we enjoy our time there immensely. The house was extremely well stocked and comfortable. The kids loved the downstairs area, the sandy beach and swimming in the water. I'd recommend this property to anyone and would certainly stay again myself.

Great Family home

We had a great time, there is plenty of room, the cabinets were stocked with all the paper products, towels, soap, shampoo… everything you need. We loved it! The lake is clean, the kids enjoyed swimming and fishing.

Fun lake week

Enjoyed the sandy beach, kayaks, swim raft, paddle board,pedal boat and fire pit. Appreciated the large deck with 4 tables, ample paper products and calm, quiet lake close to Traverse City.

We enjoyed this lake house!

We enjoyed our stay here! Not far from town at all! We did wish there were more actual beds due to 4 adults having to sleeping on the full in the basement and a pull out couch! Those weren’t very comfortable so they slept on air mattresses by the end of the week! The other 2 queens were comfortable. It was nice to have 3 kitchens and be able to split the families up! Also nice have an area in the basement for the kids! Beautiful view and the kids really enjoyed fishing and swimming!

One of the best place Ii rented north Michigan

The 5 days we spent in this house were a blast! we built memory, and we will look to rent that place again for sure. The lake is gorgeous, and the house offer lot of opportunities. You can book the place with no hesitations!

Nice size cottage!

I think the best thing about this cottage is the size. During the week we stayed here we had 6-10 people. There are only two bedrooms as the third bedroom (lower level) is a whole living area. I would call the upstairs two separate apartments As you walk in the front door you go either right or left with a stairwell in the middle to go downstairs. Each side has its own large kitchen with new appliances and much storage space, a bedroom, full bath and living area. They can be closed off or the doors left open, as we did, with our families walking around freely to mingle. We had pre-teens, teens, parents and grandparents. Also loved the sandy beach with lots of chairs. We played volleyball, paddleball, used the fire pit for s’mores, kayaked, as well as using the peddle boat and paddle board a lot. There are 3 large tables downstairs with many chairs which we used for meals and games. The pool table was favorite for both the kids and adults. I do think it would help if the pictures on VRBO were updated. We had a wonderful week!

Amazing stay!

Very clean house with everything you could ever need. Beach was great for the kids. We caught a lot of fish from the lake. Pizza place was the best but kids like it. Close to grocery store and the city. Would stay again!

Great family getaway

Our family of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids) had a nice long weekend fishing, swimming, and playing inside and out. The place is much nicer than the pictures suggest.Thanks for offering up your place for us to stay.

Awesome House and Location

House was clean, owner is very nice! Location is perfect. Like 15 mins from downtown traverse city. There’s a great restaurant within walking distance of the house (peegios). House actually looks nicer in person than it does in the photos. Listing could use some updated pic’s because they really don’t do it justice.

Girls Weekend Getaway

We had a great time! Diana made the overall process easy & straightforward with great communication! The house was very clean, fully equipped with everything you could think of (kitchen appliances, bedding, towels, etc.), and plenty of space. Would highly recommend!

Relaxing and comfortable lake house

The house is perfect for 2 families! It’s much bigger than the photos suggest with 2 master bedrooms and multiple kitchens and living areas. The walkout basement is perfect for plenty of kids to sleep. The lake is nice for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. It’s a little small for boating. Cute beach and kids enjoyed the raft. 15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City.

Piece of Heaven

This is an amazing house! The photos don’t even remotely show you how AMAZING this house is! The beach is perfect for all ages. I have a 2 and 1/2 year old grandson who had the time of his life at the beach! We played baggie everyday at the beach and played games every night in the basement. It was the perfect vacation for all of us❤️

Family Vaca July 2022

Diana was a wonderful host with great communication and prompt responses to all my questions. She was also kind enough to let us walk thru this home a few months before our stay to make sure it would accommodate our group. The house was supplied with everything we needed. The 3 kitchens worked well to fit everyone's food, snackies, and drinks. It also had a great game room downstairs for all of our teenagers. The beach area with bonfire pit, boats, and docks were all a wonderful addition to our stay. We were outside all day fishing, kayaking, and our littles were able to play in the sand. We would definitely recommend staying here and would go back in the future as well.

mountain bike retreat

this was a great place we had 7 adults stay here as a base for mountain bike riding, it was perfect. we all thought this would be an unbelievable place for two families with kids to stay. If you are the type of person who needs 3 kitchens, look no further. We only used 2 of the kitchens, but the 3rd kitchen looked great as well.
