This was our yearly fall color to vacation. It was the second time we stayed at this lovely home. It is very close to many locations that we enjoy visiting. We had a great time.

Very disappointed. The cottage is a good size on a wonderful piece of property - right on the water. Unfortunately it is in desperate need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. Everything in the cabin seemed dirty. It feels like all they do is the surface cleaning after each guest leaves. But even that wasn't done when we got there. The bathroom floor/tub still dirty with wet towels behind the door. They did refund our cleaning fee, which we appreciated. I do not recommend staying here until/unless they thoroughly clean everything and do maintenance. Some examples - All the fronts of the kitchen cabinets are sticky/tacky by the handles and many of them do not shut correctly. I felt like I needed to wash my hands each time I opened them. Beds were very old and uncomfortable. And clean the windows! They have wonderful windows across the whole back of the cabin looking out at the water - but they are all very dirty - especially the ones in the living room. Owner was nice/responsive but I feel she needs to put a lot more effort into taking care of this cabin or lower her price. It was definitely not worth what we paid.

Weather was terrible for fishing, but the cottage was very comfortable and roomy enough for 4 old guys to hang out. Dave and Natalie were very quick to respond to messages, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Spring break ski trip

Clean, cozy, & having all the conveniences of home, our family of 6 spent a happy week here. We enjoyed the quiet beauty of the lake and also the centralized location to visit several Northern Michigan ski resorts within a 1-1.5 hour drive.

Every room of back of house has a view of the lake. It’s quiet and peaceful - relaxing. We would like to stay again. The slight misfortune is main bathroom inside house is very small - but they placed lots of hooks and tried to create space. There is a larger bathroom with shower in garage. Otherwise very comfortable

A really nice place!

Loved the location and the view of the water. It was immaculate, comfortable and relaxing. Absolutely perfect for our annual fall color tour. Natalie was readily available with problem solving a furnace/heat malfunction and we were very warm and comfortable after the first night. Would love to have stayed longer.

This place was by far the best place too stay at if your wanting a water deatination that is centrally located in the Torch lake chains. Way too cheap for what its actually worth. I WILL BOOK AGAIN. LOVED IT

Great Stay!

The home was perfect for five adults! Plenty of kitchen and great room space. Loved the full bathroom in the garage too. The view inside of the house was great with the large windows. Loved the outdoor seating, firepit, paddleboard, and kayak! I don't want to rave too much or this lovely home may not be available for us next year :)

Ski Weekend

We were happy with the attention to detail that the host had at this property. It seems they had something available for everyone of all ages. We visited for a ski weekend and would love to return during summer months to take advantage of the lake life. The host was very responsive to any questions and accommodating to our group.

Clam Lake heaven

Just spent a week at a comfortable cottage on Clam Lake near Alden, Michigan. The deck, alone, overlooking the water, was enough to bring us back again, but the entire experience was exceptional. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The location was perfect, close to some of our favorite places, the Dockside on Torch Lake and the restaurants in Bellaire. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Heaven!

Such a great little cottage! Perfect location with dock for boat. Kayaks/SUP included as well. On Clam, close to Torch, just the best! Beds were comfortable and the home was clean. Definitely booking again!

Family vacation

House was exactly as advertised. Everything was clean and the location was amazing. We enjoyed fishing from the dock caught a couple nice size small mouth bass. And to end the night my husband caught himself a nice size northern pike. Loved being so close to Torch Lake. We rented a jet ski from dockside amazing people as well. We just loved the calm relaxing lake view of Clam Lake. Sitting outside on the deck watching the boats and the sunset. This was by far the most relaxing vacation ever. Hope to be back next year. Thank you!
