"Ranch at Royal Oak is a great house with a spectacular host. The communication was stellar. The house is in excellent condition with everything you need right at the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with high end towels, linens, utensils, glasses, knives, bowls, plates, etc. The kids and adults loved the pool and fishing on the dock. Access to St. Michael's is very easy. We will be back!"

"Wow! What an incredible property and house. We were a group of families with small kids, and it was heaven for them playing in the pool, on the dock, on the playground, and in the expansive yard. Lots of beautiful sunsets on the patio for the grown-ups too. We never had to leave. Can't recommend highly enough. "

"Great property. Great host. Already booked it for next year. We have17 people in our family and this property was perfect for our large group. Great location on the River, property was huge. Plenty of room for my grandchildren to play wiffle ball and catch. Great fishing, my sons and grandchildren caught a bunch of stripers. Kitchen was well stocked, filtered tap water and a large ice maker. Highly recommended."

"It's a lovely historic home with those types of quirks: narrow and steep stairs, railing that is definitely not up to code, original windows, not well insulated so it's a good thing that the neighborhood is quiet, one nail sticking out of the original floors in the DR near thr kitchen door. It was kept clean other than some cobwebs in corners. It is comphy but the furniture is all antiques to fit the vibe so some of it is fragile (curio tqble by front door had a busted leg when we arrived for...

"Location walking distance to everything, house well maintained, fenced back yard. The only thing that should be upgraded is upstairs air conditioning. We could not get inside temperature below 79 F on hot days. Maybe upsize capacity. Downstairs cooling was good. "

"We had a wonderful time. The home was perfect. There were so many areas in the home to keep both the children and adults happy. The kitchen was amazing. The owner was very helpful. We would definitely enjoy renting with them again."

"Stayed 4 nights in August and had a great stay. Home was very clean, well-stocked with everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. The best part was the crabbing off the dock! Many thanks for use of the crab pots - we had at least a dozen keepers each day from the pots, plus another half dozen caught with handlines. If there was one slight issue, it was that the only bathroom is on the first floor while all bedrooms were on the second. But this is a design of the house, so nothing that...

"We were looking for a relaxing vacation spot for the week and this place exceeded our expectations! The property itself is beautiful and spacious. We loved being in the pool and watching the boats go by. The property manager also had attentive communication with us. Overall, it was a great stay and we would certainly recommend the place to anyone, and hopefully stay again for ourselves. "

"The Woodwind house is our absolute favorite home to stay in on the entire Eastern Shore area. We stayed in late August 2025, with family that included two elderly seniors and adults and teens, and two dogs. The check in process was smooth and exactly as described. This is our third time staying at The Woodwind, and since our last stay the pool house has been completely renovated. With a brand new bathroom and sauna as well! "Wonderful stay at the house. The house was as advertised and had all necessary amenities. We had a blast together and didn’t have to worry about a thing with the house. I will note that the back steps that lead from the porch are very steep and elderly adult took a fall. A note on this or new steps would be great. The place was very clean. "We were in town for a family wedding with events in Easton and St Michaels. The location was perfect. The view from the house is amazing. The house was clean, furnishings inside and out were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The rental agency was helpful and responsive. I would recommend the house to anyone and would rent it again. "
