Barn Style Conversion With Lovely Open Rural Views

  • The overall appearance of Woodside View is similar to a barn conversion with the lower walls in natural stone, upper areas clad in cedar wood and the roof is in local slate. The design is intended to blend in with the surrounding woodland and countryside. The large feature apex window affords superb open views of the woods and skyline where the sun rises. Ideally situated with Dartmouth 4 miles (10mins drive) and the other principle towns of Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe within easy reach.

Very well appointed property, lovely big window in lounge, the bed was very comfortable, we felt relaxed in the property which was important as we didn’t have the best weather with a couple of very rainy days. However we did enjoy getting out and visited some of the lovely local beauty spots including Salcombe, Dartmouth and Totnes. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Exactly as we expected - excellent

It looked great on the photos, and turned out exactly like that. Beautifully presented in a lovely setting. It was like being at home but better. We had a great week.

This place was ideal for a short escape. The area is really quite and is only a short drive from Dartmouth. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely be returning

Fully enjoyed stopping at the property. Weather so hot, thank you for the fan which was so useful. Excellent facilities and view from large window lovely. My wife wants to adopt the lambs in the field opposite!!

Woodside View

We stayed at this property for a week in mid June and had a marvellous stay. The apartment is lovely and the views of the surrounding countryside are idyllic. The owners gave us a really helpful introduction and all the appliances worked well. The location is ideal for visits to Dartmouth- (great for meals, ferries and historic views)and surrounding area - we spent several days walking sections of the South West Coastal path which is terrific, and visited several very interesting National Trust properties which are very nearby. It’s a truly beautiful part of the country and we absolutely recommend the apartment and the location for an amazing holiday

Idyllic retreat

Fantastic views and a home from home. Truly an idyllic retreat in the countryside with beaches, coastal towns and country villages all within a short drive. Hosts were fantastic. Look no further, this is the one for you :-)

Fantastic clean and comfortable accommodation. Karen and David are really friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. It is a real home from home, modern and very well equipped. Just what we needed

Great location and property Karen and David were great came a greeted us on arrival day gave us good local info and left us to it. Relaxing and peaceful and the sky’s on a clear dark night are amazing to see. We will be back

Beautiful Devon

We both thoroughly enjoy our stay in Devon. The property was perfect and well kitted out. Loved watching the deer in the evening come out of the woods and approach the garden.. Karen and David were great hosts, thank you again Regards Ian and Trish

Absolutely lovely place to stay

This was such a lovely place to stay, it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. And the views through the front window were wonderful. It’s in such a central location and easy to get anywhere. The communication from the Karen and David was excellent, and some great recommendation on places to eat (the pub at Blackawton is a 10 minute walk and is well worth a visit but best book).. wholeheartedly recommend.
