Mucha tranquilidad

El ultimo tramo de camino hasta la casa es un poco complicado: estrecho, tramos sin asfaltar, curvas sin visibilidad.... pero una vez llegas crees que estas en el cielo. La casa es preciosa: esta muy bien pensada: buena distribucion, comoda, confortable. La piscina y los jardines que rodean la casa tambien estan muy bien: muchas luces por todos los lados y bien pensado con enchufes para poder cargar el movil. El lavadero es genial y la ropa se seca en una hora. Cuando te sientas a comer o cenar en la terraza te sientes un nada, un granito ante las impresionantes vistas. Ante esto las subidas y bajadas se te van olvidando y es verdad que te encuentras con pocos coches. Gracias por dejarnos vuestra casa.

Traumort für die ganze Familie

Das Haus ist wirklich traumhaft schön und bietet viel Ruhe und Platz für die Kinder. Leider hatten wir ein bisschen Pech mit dem Wetter, und da die andalusischen Häuser wohl allgemein nicht auf Kälte ausgelegt sind, haben wir ein klein wenig gefroren. Jesús war so lieb und hat uns sofort mit Feuerholz versorgt, damit wir den Kamin anheizen konnten - vielen Dank nochmal! Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag von unserer Seite : es wäre schön, wenn es vor Ort eine Mappe gäbe mit Informationen zu Ausflugsmöglichkeiten (auch mit Kindern, z. B. zur cueva de Nerja), Wanderungen (man befindet sich ja direkt im Wandergebiet) oder anderen Tipps wie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Märkten. Die Region hat nach unserem Eindruck nämlich total viel zu bieten.

Peaceful, Relaxing Holiday Haven

Traditional Spanish home in the countryside overlooking the coast. Very peaceful and relaxing - we rarely went out - just lazed by the pool and barbecued on the terrace most evenings. Excellent for anyone looking to get away from it all!

Lovely countryhouse

We had a wonderful stay in the mountains of Frigiliana. The view and surrounding was spectacular. The house and garden was absolutely fantastic , beautiful garden and swimming pool, from where you have a great look on the mountains and sea. You can make really nice trips to nearby places such as Nerja, Torrox, Competa and also Malaga. A special thanks to the owners Esther and Jesus, who have given us a very friendly welcome and have always been very fast in replying any question we have.

Accès très difficile en voiture voire stressant. Il faut avoir le dos n bon état.

Maison difficile à chauffer.sinon parfait et hôtes attentionnés. De fait site exceptionnel et maison de grande qualité. A éviter au cœur de l'hiver

Peaceful Mountain Retreat

Very private with beautiful view. Facilities were excellent and exactly as described. Quite remote on the mountainside, Perfect for quiet relaxing or venturing to Frigiliana , Nerja., and Torrez. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Schöne Finca in den Bergen

Esther hat uns in Frigiliana getroffen und zur Finca begleitet. Esther ist sehr freundlich und angenehm. Die Finca liegt relativ weit in den Bergen und die Aussicht ist malerisch. Wir konnten super mit unserer Hündin in einer phantastischen Landschaft wandern. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

Great house with an amazing (sea) view!

We enjoyed our stay in 'el Cortijo Retama' very much. The house is traditional Andalusian and very cozy. You have everything you need at hand. We especially loved the terrace, the pool and the amazing view! The owners are very kind and the communication was easy. We would highly recommend this holiday house.

Beautiful Finca in lovely setting

Esther & Jesus have created a beautiful and authentic cottage, in an amazing setting. Both the interior and exterior have been finished simply but with great taste and the feeling is of an authentic, rural, Andalusian home but with all the modern conveniences required for the modern world. We had a peaceful and relaxing week at the Finca, in late September. The weather was still great so were able to enjoy the pool, by day, and to sit out on the terrace in the evening, enjoying the view and a glass of the local wine. While the property is down a rural road, which twists up into the mountains, it is not remote and access to Frigiliana was only 10 minutes (by car) and a 20 minute drive to Nerja and the coast. Lots of good walking and cycling locally. We arrived quiet late (21.30 local time) but this was no issue for Esther and Jesus. Esther came to meet us, to guide us the last few miles to the property and to give us a tour and explain how everything worked. We didn't need anything during the week but they are local and willing to provide any assistance if and when needed. We would definitely recommend the villa to those who want to be "off the beaten track" but not too far from all the local area has to offer.

Amazing experience

We also enjoyed our stay in this house very much. The location is exceptional, the house very comfortable and the pool is a real treat. Although difficult to access, we felt safe. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. The paths around the house make for very pleasant walks with superb views of the surrounding mountains. Highly recommended.

Great holidays

We had a wonderful holiday. The house has been a peaceful harbour for us. It is decorated with love. The owner offers a super hospitality and availability during our stay. A lot of towels and bed sheets at our disposal during the stay. We had a bottle of wine and some fresh goods in the fridge at our arrival. Thanks a lot to Esther and Jesus

“Away from it all”

We were looking for a home from home experience but without the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and that’s just what we found. The track to the cottage was an experience, fun with a challenge on the narrow mountain road, on arrival at the cottage we knew immediately it was what we’d been hoping for. Well stocked, clean and cosy and absolutely picturesque. Jesus the owner, although didn’t speak too much English, was friendly and welcoming and during our stay completely left us to it but was available (by what’s app / visit) if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family that choose to be somewhere that is “away from it all”

A fabulous place to get away from it all!

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. It has everything you could want to make your stay a very special one. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners were very helpful and attentive when needed, but equally leave you in peace to enjoy their fabulous house. The views are stunning, the house is very comfortable with air conditioning. The pool is set below the house and is well maintained. It has loungers, a table and chairs around it, as well as a parasol. We had a wonderful week and will look to return again soon!

Schönes, sehr ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus mit toller Aussicht

Sehr gut ausgestattetes, geräumiges Ferienhaus mit großer, sehr sehr schöner zweigeschossiger Terrasse, gepflegtem Swimmingpool und wunderbarer Alleinlage. Etwas längere (ca. 7 Min.) Anfahrt über schmaler, teils steiler, geteerter Strasse. Schnelle, freundliche Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern. Komplikationslose Hausübergabe am An- und Abreisetag. Sehr zu empfehlen für Menschen, die etwas vom Touristenrummel in Andalusien Urlaub machen und nicht schnell oder hauptsächlich am Strand sein möchten. Nahe gelegenes Frigiliana schön zum Schlendern und Essen gehen.

Beautiful retreat, high up the hills looking down on the Mediterranean Sea and torrox, super view

Lovely traditional house, upgraded with sympathy for original features. All split level and very cosy. A useful utility room in a separate building gives an extra freezer and washing machine with ironing facilities. Beautifully laid out exteria with 2 driveways for car access. Well planted raised beds featuring olive, Bougainvilla, bamboo and grapevine etc The pool area is well planned and gets huge amounts of sunshine. The shower in this area is particularly useful and the views are stunning. A large outside dining table is perfect for eating out and entertaining, whilst being covered under a bamboo veranda. This property is a fair way into the national park and it takes a little effort to get there on largely single track roads but the elevation and quietness is a reward in itself. There are wild boar occasionally crossing the roads and eagles frequent the skies. The owners are delightful and will remain completely descrete, unless you need anything. Great base for visiting Frigiliana, Nerja etc. Lidl is 20 mins away for supplies and is well stocked. Great place to walk the mountains also.
